Idaho Springs, Colorado
A beautiful and private property welcoming a group of family and/or friends looking for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is beside the lulling Fall River and surrounded by tall standing pines and aspens. Located less than a mile from I-70, easy to get to with the county-maintained, paved road all year round. It is only minutes away from hiking, fly fishing, rafting, and skiing attractions, offering a true mountain experience in all four seasons.
It is about 30 minutes West of Denver and Red Rocks Park and 5 minutes from Idaho Springs' historical downtown, museums, and Indian Hot Springs. It is 15 miles from the Echo Mountain Ski resort with night skiing and only 30-40 minutes from several world class, ski resorts (Winter Park, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain to name a few).
Outside, you will find the naturally maintained landscape, a "private island" in the middle of the river with plenty of seating space, hammocks, as well as gas and charcoal grills. The property is backed to the forest with two gold mine shafts offering a historic perspective of this region.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with all appliances including pots, pans, utensils, and dishes with a spacious dining area and furnished deck for morning coffee or an outdoor meal. The living room is cozy with plenty of seating space and a 65 inch smart TV. All linens and towels are provided.
We really needed a quick getaway and it was a miracle that this place was available on such short notice. It’s a private and quiet property , but is very easy to get to and is less than 10 min drive from town. James was very kind and attentive, he even reached out to us and offered us an early , free -of -charge check in since the house was ready and it was very cold outside that day. The house was sparkling clean with white linen and a very generous supply of towels and toiletries. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that you need for cooking, but the outside was something else; quiet, private and absolutely breathtaking. We were so amazed at how beautiful it was and had the best time. We are already planning to come back this summer with a few more friends.
Thank you James for the wonderful hospitality, the house was great! Wish there was a washer & dryer, and the fireplace was useable, but other than that we enjoyed the stay.
We could not have asked for a better place to spend time with family. The cabin was beautiful but walk outside of the cabin and it was Heaven. The river running behind it and the private island was more than just amazing. Our family would stay here again and again. Thank you for sharing such a piece of paradise with us.
We enjoyed our stay so much at the riverside cabin! The location can’t be beat! Close to shops! Great outdoor entertaining area. The home was neat and clean and the hosts really thought of everything! We had everything we needed! We hope to come back very soon !
The cabin was quite easy to find. James, the owner had placed snacks at the entrance for us to enjoy as well as a bottle of wine and glasses. That was an unexpected pleasure. Later we found that he had made sure to stock things that made our stay more comfortable. For instance, he had left charcoal for us to grill with, he had placed fishing poles on the fishing island for us to use, there was Pam in the cabinet, which was something I had not thought to buy at the store. We had planned on venturing out to other parts of that area, but there was so much to do around the creeks, and in the woods, we stayed all three days on the property, and relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves. We definitely want to go back. Thank you so much James.
The entire family really enjoyed this rental. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The property was just as pictured and was private. We enjoyed fishing, relaxing in the various hammocks, swinging, and feeding the fish in the koi pond. We also visited the town, a local mine, and drove up to the glacier, which was all fun.
