Remote cabin on 40 acres with wildlife and no distractions.

Beautiful cabin on 50 acres. We also enjoyed having a large enclosed yard. So the dogs could run free. Great stay !

This is our second time visiting and we’ll be back! The owners are so kind and great to work with. The cabin is cozy and perfect for a mountain retreat. The views of the valley and all the wildlife are the icing on this great place!

This was our 3rd time to this amazing property in Lewistown! Stephen is a great host! If you need anything he will get for you! We can bring our dogs and they romp around the yard! The chipmunks/ squirrels tease the dogs! We BBQ and have a fire in the evening! They provide the makings for s’more’s! We plan on going back soon!

Perfect for a weekend of connecting with family. Great communication prior to arrival and although we didn’t partake, the host provided the cutest little s’more kits! What a great idea.

What a relaxing place to be! We loved it!

Very remote, secluded cute cabin tucked away. Cabin is clean, spacious and has all the amenities for a quiet getaway. Beautiful deck for morning coffee and night time BBQ. Welcome basket was a nice added touch. The road is tricky in the dark ! Highly recommend if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle and just reconnect with friends and family. Artists and creators would appreciate the off-the grid beauty.

clean, no nonsense cabin in a peaceful setting in the woods at the end of a fun drive up the mountainside with grazing livestock to greet you, gates to open and shut. A genuine Montana experience I'd happily repeat.

It’s our third time going there! We just love the peacefulness, the location and the cabin. Stephen, our host, will get you anything you need. He got us a toaster to use! Big plus for us it’s pet friendly!!

great place to relax and watch nature

The South 40 was just advertised! We visited Lewistown with friends and needed a dog friendly place. We choose the South 40 Cabin because of the fenced in area around the cabin. I thought it would be a small area, but it fenced in three sides of the cabin creating a large area for the dogs to explore. This was just one aspect that made the visit so relaxing. We could hang out in the yard or on the deck or by the fire pit and not worry about where the dogs were! This really is a perfect place to get away from lights, noise and people. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Perfect for our hunting group

I was out in the area for work. This was absolutely the best place to come back to after some long work days. A great place to unplug, relax and have the amazing solitude the woods of Montana can offer. Thank you for making this place available for us all to rent.

we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall conviences. Gas fireplace and A/C were easy to operate. Wonderful to have the extra large fenced yard for our 2 bird dogs. Hiked a bit but cautiously with bear spray and a revolver just in case. Loved the firepit and lots of trees for shade. The wrap around deck on 3 sides wrapped (ha!) up a quiet and relaxing stay. We will return!
