Escape to our charming Celo cabin with stunning Black Mountain views. This guest house is secluded and sits on a multimillion dollar estate situated at the bottom of Celo Knob, the 4th largest mountain in North Carolina. While completely surrounded on all sides by the Pisgah National Forest, this tranquil retreat sleeps 5 guests in an open studio bedroom and loft room. Enjoy the panoramic vistas from the living room while sitting around the cozy wood-burning stove. Dine on the spacious deck with a grill and HOT TUB! Trails into the Pisgah National Forest start only a few feet from the backyard! More than 100 miles of trails leading to waterfalls, overhangs, and more! Immerse yourself in Celo's culture with shops and restaurants.

Please note that although the main house does reside on the same 7.5 acre property, it is still quite secluded and is nestled farther up the mountain. You can also rent the main house or both for larger groups, events and weddings. AWD or 4wd recommended for a smoother arrival.

Spotless and very comfortable! Well-equipped, had everything we needed, except for hangers. Many special touches made our stay, especially the gift basket! Thank you for a wonderful time at this beautiful place!

Stunning view from this cabin in the clouds. The hosts were extremely responsive to all of our questions and very welcoming. The decor is beautiful. I do need to share that the seating is not comfortable, especially on the deck, for folks like us in our sixties. Maybe bring yourself some cushions.

A beautiful place to stay with an amazing view. The cottage was clean, welcome basket was a nice surprise, and bed was super comfortable. The only issue was the steep drive up to the cottage so make sure you have a vehicle for that terrain. I would recommend staying for anyone that needs a mountain getaway.

Loved our stay here. It was exceptional, the owner was excellent at communicating and was extremely gracious. The only thing I would mention is the driveway up to the house is very steep and has sections of loose gravel, so make sure you have a car that can handle it. Overall, extremely recommend staying here and we will be back!

The Redstone Cottage was cozy, spotlessly clean, and nestled into the mountain with a network of trails out the back door. If you’re looking for a serene escape that’s equally apt for a movie night by the fire and a home base for exploring the Pisgah, this is your spot! The view from the front deck alone is worth the price. Joel and Matt went above and beyond to make us feel at home (stocked coffees, a special gift for our pup, and posh toiletries).

I have nothing negative to say. Literally nothing. Everything was clean, the view was amazing, plenty of utensils for cooking (and also there were coffee pods, foil, plastic wrap, spices... they have everything you need!) We were welcomed with a beautiful gift basket with snacks, seltzers, and a nice fluffy blanket for us to keep! They even made a gift bag for our dog with her name on it. We have never had a VRBO do this before! They supplied us with dog bowls and a dog bed (which our dog LOVED). Communication was perfect. Easy check in. They had a repair man scheduled during our stay to fix the dishwasher, but they agreed to reschedule him for after our stay, which was so cool of them! We didnt mind washing dishes and made sure to scrub them clean for the next guests. The hot tub was great, and we used the grill twice and it worked perfectly. Anyone who owns a VRBO should take note of this place because they are the perfect example of a 5 star stay! Others have mentioned the steep driveway, but honestly it didnt bother us because our driver grew up in mountains, so he was used to it. I do recommend an SUV or truck - but a regular car may be able to get up there if the driver has experience driving in mountains. The road there isn't paved either and theres loose gravel, so keep that in mind if you have a smaller low-riding vehicle. (But honestly, this is all expected when getting a place in the mountains). Hands down the most peaceful stay we've ever experienced!

We absolutely loved our stay, the view was amazing, the hot tub was fun, the outdoor and indoor fire was cozy, and we saw so many cute lady bugs! We were gifted a fuzzy blanket in a goodie basket, we love it! Our two dogs stayed & enjoyed their time there as well, it was chilly out and we did some hiking, our stay was so cozy we spent more time there than outdoors as expected, just because it’s so comfy! The big bed is THE most comfortable thing on earth. So happy we were able to be there, highly recommend.

The Redstone Cottage was perfect for our little mountain getaway. It was about 45 minutes from downtown Asheville off a remote private roadway. We were glad to have had an AWD vehicle for the steep stone driveway (this is a must). It was stocked with thoughtful amenities, luxury linens, and was extremely clean. We wished we could have stayed longer because it was so peaceful but Hurricane Helene had other plans. We hope to stay again next time we explore this amazing part of the country.

Property was beautiful, scenery was just ehat we needed. Although the main home mentions that the driveway to the property is very steep, we did not see that mentioned on the guest house rental. I would disclose that info, Although it did not deter us, it was very steep and in some cases almost too difficult to gert up to with a small vehicle like we used. I would definitely visit this place again, with the right vehicle of course.
