Real Log cabin with hot tub and fire pit. Pet friendly

If you are looking for peace and tranquility with stunning views in the middle of nowhere then this is the place. Hexham is about 30 minutes away, and Newcastle about an hour and stunning little villages dotted all around and the moors of Northumberland about 20 minutes away and the four of the areas famous castles within 75 minutes. If you are not used to rural driving beware, Roads are often single lane, with steep hills and very sharp bends and often slow moving farm machinery just around the corner! The log cabin has everything you need including an outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Don't expect high end designer fixutes and fittings - Its a log cabin but everything is functional clean and in working order ( Although the kitcken is fully fitted and modern ) People with disabilities are also fully catered for. It is probably worth taking your food with you as while there is a shop in the village it is a small one, big supermarkets are to be found in either Hexham, Carlile or Morpeth. The Host lives about 500 yards away and can be with you very quickly if required,or if you have aproblem but just lets you just do your own thing without checking on you all the time -so perfect balance really!Would I return - Absolutley

Helen is a fabulous host, she welcomed us on arrival and told us about some local walks. The cabin was lovely and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a days walking 😬

Warm and cosy log cabin with amazing views and hot tub. Great facilities. Butchers and supermarket just a short drive away.

Myself, my husband and two friends stayed here. The hot tub was lovely and warm ready for us to use on arrival, also very clean. The cabin had everything we needed with the exception of one thing, oven gloves. No big deal of course. The markings around the oven had been wiped off which made it almost impossible to figure out. Helen did mention to my husband it’s on her to do list though. We would definitely come back though. A stunning part of the country with views that I’ll never forget. Lots of places of interest nearby and great walking routes. The wee village pub is very nice too and only minutes walk from cabin. Thanks Helen for checking in with us and we hope to come back some day.

Hot tub was broken for the whole duration of our stay. Had messaged owner a couple of days before arrival to double check hot tub would definitely be on and told yes. Double bed the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in - almost a week later, my back and hips are still aching. No welcome pack offered.

Quick three day stay, loved every minute.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in the log cabin. Helen was a fantastic host and gave us good information about what sites to visit.
