Rainbow house was beyond our expectations! It was a beautiful house, definitely one with nature. Imagine, waking up every morning to parrots and many other amazing bird songs. Definitely need a camera! Pool was quite enjoyed as it's very hot and humid! Trevor's waterfalls are beautiful. Peter, Groundskeeper, quite informative about island. Leo and Alain, caretakers, will show you local plants on property you can use for cooking or they may even prepare a meal for you! Amazing! House was open to nature- no screens, but no problem with bugs. I'm not fond of bugs. Recommend Taylor's car rentals- do need a 4x4 to access drive and be prepared Tobago roads are windy! Also recommend ERIC in Charlotteville for diving. A must is to enjoy all the beaches from Castara, Englishman's Bay, Bloody Bay, Hermitage Bay to Pirate's Bay (our fave). Recommend stocking up at Pennysavers in Crown Point for all grocery items, as other parts of island very limited. Can get basic supplies at Imbie's in Parlutuvier, while there, head onto pier to buy fresh fish, bring a plastic bag! Also, more shopping in Roxborough at Pablo's market. While there, go to Argyle Falls-worth the climb! Go during week, as quite busy on weekends-stop at Shawn's little shack to purchase fine homemade bamboo crafts or to talk, he's quite pleasant. Don't recommend Cocoa plantation-there 3 separate times and no tours! Definitely tour the island-Fort George, crown Point Beach, and Store Bay for local craft shopping and see Edwin at Englishman's Bay for reasonable handmade crafts of bamboo and calabash. Fav places to eat Miss Vanessa in Bloody Bay- amazing prawns, Caribbean Kitchen for gourmet, local, organic food and view of Castara Bay. Find Darlington( 2 houses past pink junction shack in Bloody Bay) for the most amazing Rainforest tour and history of island. We spent a month in Tobago and would definitely return and stay again in Rainbow, or maybe when Trevor's new place is complete-Karma. Trevor is there if you need him, very pleasant, kind gentleman who is well respected on the island. Rainbow is a beautiful home in Paradise!
