Quiet modern cabin on a small lake in the woods

We had a great time at Katie and Tim’s. The home is beautiful and very well appointed. Space is plentiful and well set up for either families or friend groups and the outdoor areas were such a huge bonus. Would recommend if you’re planning to stay in the area!

This house was perfect for our group of nine guys on a golf trip. There was plenty of space and beds for everyone, and the large open living room and kitchen made it easy to relax and hang out together. The home had everything we could possibly need, and we loved the peaceful, tucked-away setting in the woods. The check-in process was a breeze, and Katie and Tim were fantastic to communicate with throughout. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Wautoma area—and we can’t wait to stay here again!

Everything was great - the location was peaceful, the house tastefully decorated and thorough communication. We really appreciated the kitchen, gas fireplace and the cozy, comfortable beds. Too many positive things to mention. One of our favorite places we've rented. Thank you!

My family and I stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of November. It was just the break we needed! This home has everything you could want for a quiet and relaxing stay. The open kitchen and living area was perfect for us to watch movies, play games, do puzzles and make our favorite home cooked meals. The owners were excellent hosts, responding quickly to our inquiries. The care they took with the homes design and furnishings is evident. Overall, a lovely stay. Would recommend, as well as return.

My wife and 18 month old daughter had an incredible stay. The property is beautiful, with old pine trees and three great spaces to sit outside (screened in porch, gas fire pit on the front porch, and another pit at the edge of the woods for bonfires). A short and scenic walk down to the lake, which is very peaceful and secluded. We swam and used the canoe. The cabin itself is awesome—large windows throughout let in great light and bring the forestall and scenic surrounds into view at all times. Beds and furniture all comfy and thoughtfully laid out. WiFi and TV worked perfectly. We also spoke to the owner and were approved to bring our dog — he’s a mid sized hypoallergenic bernedoodle. It was great that they were willing to accommodate this request even though it’s not technically dog friendly. All in all an excellent stay.

What a lovely property! We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay, and everything exceeded our exceptions. This home is modern and clean in a serene setting. We enjoyed morning walks down to the lake, spending quiet evenings on the screened-in porch, and cooking dinner in the beautiful and well equipped kitchen. The location is a great balance of privacy with the convenience of grocery and other needs close by in town. Also made a trip over to Lawsonia for a round of golf on the Links course, which I'd highly recommend! Communication with the owners was helpful and prompt. I'd highly recommend this property and hope to return for another visit in the future!

We had an incredible stay at this cabin. The decor is impeccable, blending modern luxury with the charm of a secluded woodland retreat. The long, private driveway enhances the sense of seclusion, creating a peaceful oasis that's perfect for a relaxing getaway. During our stay, we explored the surrounding area, discovering a scenic hiking trail on Mt. Morris, enjoying the vibrant local bars in downtown, and playing a round of golf at the nearby course. However, the cabin itself was the real highlight. It provided everything we could have wanted for a serene escape by the lake. Honestly, we would have been just as happy staying in, as the property offers all the amenities and comfort you could hope for in a lakeside retreat.
