This tiny house style cabin is set in a country setting with great views. The east facing deck is a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee and a beautiful sunrise. The cabin had everything we needed for a nights stay. Although the road leading up to the property is a little rough, it is worth it.

This cozy little cabin was perfect for our family of three and two dogs. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. This cabin is a great deal. The property is secluded but not remote - you can get into a small town in 10 minutes and to the larger towns in half an hour. It was quiet and a perfect retreat. Great firepit! Our daughter loved the loft, and it is fine for adults to sleep up there too. We loved our time there.

The location of the cabin on the Vrbo site shows to be in the heart of Calico Rock, however the address link emailed to me, showed to be up the mountain about a mile. That was no big deal, as it was less than a 10 minute drive to town. The view from the cabin is beautiful. The cabin its self was perfect for my family of 5. The photos make it look smaller than it actually is. We were not on top of each other. The beds were very comfortable. There was fire wood left by the pit for us to use. The host messaged me to notify they had changed the full bed out in the loft for a new twin size and offered to blow up an air mattress for my youngest to sleep on.When the public was alerted about the escaped prisoner, the host immediately sent me the information- not to scare us but to alert us as to what was going on in the area. When my family decided not to stay our second and final night, I messaged the host to let her know we were checking out early. She sent me a personal text and offered to comp a night the next time we are in Calico. We are in Calico every year around Memorial Day. I would definitely rent property from this host again.

Nana's Nest is the perfect hideaway from today's hectic world. The views are spectacular, the distant hills in their serenity are only part of the show. Birds hover overhead with beauty and ease without flapping their wings, Cardinals and Blue Jays frolic in the nearby evergreen trees. Sitting outside and viewing this is exhilarating!! Inside is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on for the Master Bed, up in the loft are 2 more beds that I never enjoyed. There is a wood stove for heat and electric space heaters for those that don't want to labor. It was rather warm for this time of year, so I never lit the stove. I'm an avid wood burner, (have 2 high efficiency wood burning stoves at home) so I'm sad I wasn't able to enjoy this. We enjoyed oatmeal and toast for a morning meal along with the Keurig making us a perfect blend of coffee to start our day. We enjoyed the barrel chairs and on the other side is more patio furniture for that area as well. Shifting winds caused us to change sitting areas. We also enjoyed a short walk in the woods, those hills are steep so be prepared. Luckily I was able to find a strong broken branch for my partner to use as a walking stick. Due to the hilly area and our desire to walk to the river nearby, I inquired about using ATV's on the property. Nucole confirmed that they were allowed on their 25 acre property. To summarize my visit, I was very happy and would love to visit again in the future. Time will tell if that happens. Jim

My group had an amazing time at nana’s nest. The property is beautiful, and the cabin has everything you need. We booked this cabin to view the 2024 solar eclipse, and I don’t think we could have asked for a better location. It was secluded and quiet. Perfect for our group. The night sky doesn’t have much light pollution and you can get some good star gazing in. We all loved our visit, and would definitely stay here again. Well recommended.
