Elk City, Idaho
This is a great peaceful getaway we have 5 cabins on 17 acres bordering the national Forest with full kitchens. If your looking for a peaceful getaway from the everyday this is a great place located 5 miles outside the town of Elk City
It was very rustic which we loved, there were no lights around outside so the stars were magnificent. Get your directions before you go because our GPS would not work due to lack of cell service in the area and we had to stop three times to get directions from locals. WE loved it and will be going back soon for sure.
For a rustic experience our stay was OK. The cabin had not been cleaned when we arrived. It said that we could check-in at 3pm. We arrived after 4pm but the cabin had not been cleaned yet. We had to find something to do for several hours so that it could get cleaned. Luckily, the cleaning lady arrived shortly after we did or we would not have known how to get in touch with anyone.there was no way to get in touch with anyone because there was no wifi in this cabin. The water pressure in the whole cabin was poor. Toilet had no water into it so we had to fill up the tank by hand each time we flushed. We were not told about this. We had to figure it out ourselves. Hopefully it will be fixed for the next visitors. For a rustic cabin experience it was acceptable except for the toilet problem.
Placed smelled of propane. No screens so flies came in while airing out. Floor damaged very cool night no extra blankets.
Rustic a bit of too much rustic. The beds need upgrading and water pressure especially to the toilet is terrible.
No internet no phone service. Difficult to find. Clean but rustic
