Stayed Oct 24, 2025Quaint accommodation, convenient for some lovely walks and day trips, including Bridport and the Jurassic coast. Instructions were great as we arrived in the dark but had no trouble finding the shepherds hut. Thank you.

Stayed Oct 13, 2023Wanted some cheap basic accommodation for 2 nights. Found it eventually after driving through the narrow lanes some of which weren't signposted very well but adds to the fun!. Very neat and cosey and the bed was particularly comfortable. Nicely laid out with some nice touches. Ideal if you want some peace and quiet as it is tucked away at the back of the village in what used to be an old veg garden.

Stayed Aug 25, 2023This was a gem of a stay, from the setting of the shepherd's hut, to the amazingly comfortable bed. Everything had a place due to clever design, and although a small space, the hut felt light & airy! The best thing was having breakfast outside in the morning and enjoying it in our own peaceful garden surrounded by the orchard...a magical slice of the West Country!

Stayed Aug 26, 2022We had such a lovely time! Heather and Angus are wonderful hosts and the cabin is immaculate! We went for walks around the local area, sat under the oak tree in the church and found some peace, drove to local beaches as suggested by Heather and enjoyed our tea in the green house under the twinkly lights in there. Heather could not have been more helpful when booking and Angus was always on hand during our stay, we would stay here or in the stable lodge in a heartbeat. Just what we needed before we embark on one of life’s adventures in our personal life!

Stayed Jul 22, 2022We absolutely loved our stay in the shepherds hut! The photos on the website are a true representation and we honestly could not fault anything or even offer any suggestions of improvement, it was exactly what we had hoped for! Great information pack in the hut offering suggestions on where to go and Heather was available to help if needed too, however the garden was secluded so you had your privacy too. We fell a little bit in love with Pip, Maple and big Ron too who were always on hand for tummy rubs and play time! Thanks Heather and family, we hope to return again soon.
