Private Dog-Friendly Cabin | Lake Lure | Lakes and River

The experience was nothing short of perfect. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and everything we needed. The owner was very kind and gracious when weather concerns came to into play and quick to accommodate. The community had plenty of things to do (horseback riding, shopping, Biltmore an hour away) so we were busy then relaxing in this beautiful, relaxing cabin. Just overall wonderful experience.

Private, secluded lake chalet with excellent amenities. Just under an hour to Biltmore estate, 20 minutes to Chimney Rock State Park. Located in a gated community. Very well-kept, neat and tidy. Plenty of towels, linens, and supplies. Grocery store is within 15 minutes, so you can stock up on your way in. Gravel road to the site, but no problems getting in with a standard car. DOG-FRIENDLY, and our pup had a great time. Owner has dog beds, treats, and leashes on hand so our dog felt right at home. The only downside is that there's only 1 bathroom. We had 5 people, so it requires a little scheduling and understanding. Didn't cause any problems during our 3 night stay. Owner is very responsive and communication was excellent. Price was great! We had a great time, and will certainly come back. Met our expectations completely!

This is a beautiful, cozy cabin. We wanted a nice quiet getaway for my husband’s birthday and it was perfect. This was a pet friendly cabin and this was the first time we had traveled with our two small dogs. The owners have made it very pet friendly with a fenced run space and deck gates. They also had extra leashes, dog bowls, beds, etc. our pups especially enjoyed sleeping by the fireplace. The neighborhood is beautiful and we enjoyed our afternoon walks. It is very private and peaceful. Karen was very accommodating and checked on us to make sure we were good. The cabin is very close to groceries and several nice restaurants. I imagine the lake area is very busy during the summer months with kayaking and swimming. We look forward to booking another trip to this beautiful area soon!

My husky settled right in and he is sensative to new places! We hiked a lot during the day and the cabin was a glorious place to come back to every evening. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us! We hope to be back soon!

This cabin was definitely more than we expected! The host was so wonderful and willing to go above and beyond for us! We will be staying again in the future!

We had no idea how peaceful a vacation rental could be! When we pulled up to the house and got out of our truck, the first thing we noticed was how quiet it was....nothing but leaves rustling in the breeze and the scampering of the many different woodland creatures. Soaring ceilings, wide open spaces, and huge windows letting in the bright sunlight. Photos provided on websites do not show the amount of space here! Everything was in pristine condition (I'm one that usually cleans a rental before bringing my belongings in, didn't need to here!), and smelled fresh. The furniture and decor is welcoming and cabin-y. Dog beds, blankets, bowls are all provided (although we took our own), and our pups felt right at home once we got all their stuff inside. The bathroom was well appointed, however a bit small overall. I spent my mornings sitting in one of the very comfortable egg chairs on the deck, having tea, just listening to nothing...perfection. The only problem we had (which is in NO way negative to the property) were the steps leading from the parking area to the house. We are both older and have mobility issues, so unloading/loading were difficult for us. We had a wonderful time, and absolutely recommend this property if you are in the Lake Lure area!! I only wish I could have bagged up the tranquility to bring home and spread over my own home. Thank you Karen and Dave for sharing your beautiful home!!

Lovely cabin, lovely host.

There aren’t enough stars to help me review our stay! The cabin was exactly as described in the property details. From the use of the keypad to enter the cabin to every detail of the setup of the cabin to the outside amenities, it was amazing! We loved sitting on the decks looking out at the beautiful scenery. Our two dogs, Gibbs and Kate, loved both the pen and the free-range front yard. We all loved just sitting and enjoying the God-provided serenity of your cabin. Your cabin is one of our favorites we have used over the past few years. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We loved our stay….everything was easy from check in to check out and the house was super well stocked with all the essentials! The property is very well set up for dogs. Close proximity to all the good areas, and the Lake was very clean (although cold and rainy). Beautiful scenery and the Nature walk near the waterfall is a must. Karen was a great host!

Beautiful and serene. I didnt see another person the entire time. Just how i like it! Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything one could need to whip up a gourmet meal was at my fingertips. Great hosts, quick responses, lovely home for those who consider their 4-legged traveling companions creature-comforts a tip priority.

The property was beautiful

First off, Karen is the most gracious and accommodating hostess. She was so responsive to my inquiries and checked up on us. The cabin was a little tricky to get to, but I blame that on us being from flat Texas and unused to hilly terrain. But we got the hang of it. The cabin was so quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed was already in the cabin. Very pet friendly. Our furries loved it. We did day excursions to hike and shop. Great area and great place. I would highly recommend.

Quiet, beautiful location close to lake lure

We had a blast and would definitely go back! The cabin was well stocked with anything we needed, quiet and secluded and perfect for our family and dog Molly! Access to the river and lakes was awesome. Highly recommend!

The cabin is very nice and the location is excellent. We have stayed in Riverbend before, but being on the side of the swimming lake was great!! We really appreciated the ability to use floats and chairs! Nice firepit in the front yard and the fenced in run with the gated porch is perfect for most dogs (our 9 pound mini could get out, but she is fine on a leash). I thought the listing said lake view, but we could not really see the lake from the porch. Maybe in the winter you would see more, but when the trees are full, there really is not a view. That is the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars.

After traveling for two days our 15 year old Amstaff was happy to be greeted with a basket full of dog toys! When you welcome our pup you welcome us! With a secure wrap around porch that leads to a secure fenced grassy area this was the most freedom our dog, Sir Hershel, has experienced! The cabin was clean and fully stocked with all the items needed for cooking and enjoying time in the mountains. Karen (the owner) was a great communicator checking to make sure all was well. She responded to all our inquiries within minutes. She was friendly and welcoming. The owners have gone the extra mile here to make sure it would be a great stay! The area is beautiful with lakes and waterfall hikes. We will be back! This cabin is located in a remote, private mountain community.
