Stayed Apr 9, 2026One of the most exquisite views - breathtaking sunrise view and you don’t even need to get out of bed. Super charming property that happens to be associated with an animal sanctuary. Be sure to visit with Magnus the friendly Brahma bull who loves neck scratches! We came to hike the incredible Wilbur Trail at Grayson Highlands (trailhead just a few min down the road). This is an epic place near an epic park!

Stayed Nov 3, 2025The experience we had staying far exceeded our hopes in a home and area. The house was extremely clean and bug free. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen is complete with all you need to prepare meals just bring your food and you will be set. If you find the need for something the drive isn't too far. The host also made our needs and information easy. The views were amazing and i don't think my words can do it justice but you look down from the porch to grassy hills and when you look out you will see beautiful mountains. The views are the best we have ever had, such a peaceful place to be. I know we will stay here again and highly recommend it. I didnt want to give 5 stars but 10 stars wasnt a option.

Stayed Jul 26, 2025The view of the mountains was beautiful! We really enjoyed staying in this cabin and being so close to Grayson Highlands State Park. Ashley was great as a host. We were surprised that the bottom floor was a completely different entrance from the main floor, but luckily my kids are old enough that it was fine. The details of the cabin were really nice. Overall a wonderful experience!

Stayed Mar 31, 2025We had an amazing stay at rugby creek. The cabin had unbelieveable views of the mountains and the nearby farm animals. It was so quiet and peaceful, just what this busy family needed. We cooked dinner every night as the kitchen upstairs and downstairs had more than enough pots/pans and cooking utencils. The sofa, chairs and beds were comfortable but my favorite part is the wrap around porch to enjoy the view/fresh air and sounds of nature. The decorations are modern and very impressive. The shower was nice and hot with modern fixtures and great water pressure. The host Ashley is wonderful. She was very responsive and willing to help if needed but we found everything in order. Ashley has a huge heart and runs the rescue farm the property is part of. Don't worry, the house is very private on the edge of the 50 or so acre farm. Ashley gave a tour of her wonderful rescue farm with background of the different animals she has rescued and all is asked is a small donation. If you get to see how hard she works and her dedication to giving all kinds of animals a second chance for a better life, you will want to donate, trust me. We stay in 3 or 4 rentals a year and I will say that this was the most relaxing and best valued rental I have experienced ever. If you want to be busy you can go to a few nearby state parks, go antiquiing, eat at some great restaurants or you can just park the car and enjoy the surrounding mountains, farm animals and wildlife, its your choice.

Stayed Jul 22, 2024One of our best vacations; great location for us, as we wanted to spend our mornings and earlier afternoons hiking in Grayson Highland. The trip to the parks was short. After our hikes we all really looked forward to getting back to the cabin for relaxation on the porch. Not a bad view regardless of the weather.
