My family and I truly enjoyed this cabin for our vacation basecamp! Our week in the area was slightly dampered by bad weather, but even the days spent inside were eventful with several wildlife sightings. One day, in particular, we were visited by two bull moose. They bedded down 15 yards from the living room window for about 3 hours before giving us plenty of picture opportunities out of the bedroom windows at about 8 or 10 feet! It doesn't get much better than that! This property is definitely on our list for a possible return in the future! My thanks to all that made it possible!!!

Cabin was nice and clean. Felt cozy for two people. Kitchen had all the necessities and basic spices like salt and pepper. Bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper and extra towels if needed. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap as this is not provided. Wood stove is fantastic and gets HOT! Cabin really keeps the heat in, which was fantastic for the cool nights. We were lucky and saw (and heard) wildlife - see photo! We also had wonderful stargazing and we were able to see the Milky Way and wake up early enough to see the International Space Station bright in the sky! Highly recommend for relaxation and for getting away from civilization.

Great experience in this beautiful rustic mountain cabin. Very clean, easy check in and out. We enjoyed the views, the fireplace, and the quiet seclusion!

We had such an amazing time. The cabin was absolutely amazing with plenty of room to move around for 3 people with well stocked kitchen. It was very clean and everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for hosting.

Exactly as advertised.

Our stay could not have been easier. We needed a place close to family in FairPlay, so while the home is a bit off the beaten path, it was just what we wanted. The kitchen had everything we needed. The home was clean and there were more than enough towels, blankets, pillows, etc. We’d be happy to stay again.

So where to start. First off very easy to get to location. Super easy check in. Place was immaculate looking inside, super clean inside. Only thing I could find was the coffee pot had the wrong filters and pot was extremely stained inside. I resolved the issue, buying filters in town, along with something to clean the pot. It's very reserved and quiet at this location. It is kind of difficult getting in and out of the driveway. Being it is slanted upwards out onto the main road. But it is very centrally located, and most things like hiking or biking, or any outdoor recreation is right there in your back door, seeing wildlife was no problem.We've seen many elk, moose and deer during our stay there.

Clean, quiet, and beautiful!

This is a great location about 10 mins from Fairplay. It's a nice house with plenty of room. It was clean and well appointed. Everything was in working order. We enjoyed views of the mountains from the deck and the quiet neighborhood. The well-stocked kitchen has both drip and Keurig coffee makers. The owners/property managers were responsive. On the last day, a big male moose hung out around the house for nearly 4 hours! We felt safe watching him from the deck and through the windows. It was an experience we will never forget! We highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay at the misty mountain hideaway. The team managing the property was very responsive and helped with any issues we had. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to amazing hiking and want to enjoy the afternoons on the deck looking out on the beautiful aspen trees.

We loved our stay in your beautiful cabin. The accommodations and views were excellent. We loved the big deck and found everything we needed in the kitchen to fix great meals. We definitely plan on coming back.

This cabin was perfect for a few days in the mountains. Close enough to town (FairPlay) but far enough out that you felt removed some. Would visit again, staying here.
