The house was very nice and cozy. When we arrived the hot tub was uncovered and the water was very low. We ended up adding water to it and putting the cover back on in order to use it but after everything we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is really spacious and had plenty of room with comfortable beds.
It was almost perfect. Communication with the owners was extremely quick. The cabin had all of the amenities that we were seeking. We did an old-fashioned family Christmas and it couldn’t have been any more like a Hallmark movie! The owners even had a real Christmas tree put up when we arrived, plus other beautiful decorations throughout the cabin. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I have ever had in a rental (and we travel a lot). I wanted to cook all of our meals this trip and was nervous about not having everything needed but there was more than we could even use! The crockpot is a large one so I was able to do our favorite pot roast recipe. The fridge was spacious. There were plenty of dishwasher pods, trash bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc…. The fireplace in the master bedroom was beautiful and romantic. A nice place for “GiGi and Papi” to relax at night after a long day with the kiddos. The beds were all comfy… the comforters were cozy and warm. The entire cabin was clean. I didn’t see any bugs our entire trip…. Not sure why a couple of the reviews had a problem with them… maybe in summer? The only negative thing I can think of is the bathrooms are small. Plus, If I book this place again I will bring a shower caddy to hold my shampoo and stuff. Overall, if we return to this area, we would be happy to stay again. Thank you for a place to make beautiful memories with our family. Our oldest son even proposed to his fiancé on Christmas Eve… ❤️
Great place! If you're looking for a getaway with friends or family, this is the spot.
My family enjoyed our stay. The beautiful mountain, wonderful trails and fantastic lodge with all of the conveniences of home. Owners were helpful and fast to reply
Perfect stay in Deep Gap for a long weekend just outside of Boone. House exactly as advertised and communication with host was timely and thorough. Only thing to note is that bandwidth for internet is insufficient for streaming. The App / UNC game was not available via Direct TV on property so we tried to stream via our YouTube TV subscription but the internet was too slow. This of course is only a problem if you are planning to be in the house a lot watching TV. We were outside enjoying the weather and was just bad timing for us and the App State ball game. Highly recommend spot in the Blue Ridge.
Rented this place for family vacation. The view from the deck was gorgeous. There was plenty of room for all of us. It is located in the mountains, closest grocery store took us 20-25 minutes around windy roads. Place was not suitable for young children. There is no yard for playing, the pool was 4ft at the shallow end, and the playground wasn’t kept up. I would not recommend for a family with young children, however, I felt it would be great for adults
Had a wonderful time, plenty of room for our family. Contact person was always helpful and prompt
This was an amazing property and it was so easy to get in touch when we had an issue with the upstairs ac unit. Evidently the people who stayed before us left it on 65 and it froze up. They had someone out the next morning to fix it. The house has plenty of room and gorgeous views. We are thinking of going back in December.
Overall the cabin was what the other reviews had stated. They were lots of dead bugs daily even tho i continuously cleaned them up, but not really sure how you cld prevent this. The upstairs a/c unit was out making it very difficult for ppl to sleep up there. The house itself was good just needs some updates due to renters not taking good care of things.
Room for everyone to be together or spend time apart
The property was nice. Our only complaint was the ridiculous rule that we pay $5 for each bag of trash we left or take it to Waynesville, NC.
Beautiful area, a house large enough for our group of ten. Easy access. Plenty of hiking trails close by. Game room theater room for rainy days. Beautiful views off back decks. Landscaping needs attention, lots of scattered litter spoiling back yard view. Gas grill was nasty dirty could not use. Screened in porch had one panel ripped off. Lounge chairs in disrepair. Did not appear anyone checked status of the property before our visit as the floor was littered with dead bugs. We also had to fight a hornet invasion on the second floor bedroom. Needs more bath towels not enough for ten people. Trash removal policy was strange to pay $5.00 a bag to have removed by cleaning staff or drive two hours to a trash dump??? Ten people for a weeks stay can add up.
The place was better than advertised. We all had a wonderful time. Plenty of space. Deer visiting in the back yard. And the sound of a coyote pack echoing through the valley. It was awesome.
Perfect for family(s)
We enjoyed our stay. From start to finish.
Ten of us, ages 4-72, vacationed together in this wonderful home and community. Lots of room, great things to do, and outdoor hiking and swimming too! Best stay for our family.
The pictures doesn't compare to how beautiful this cabin truly is! We loved it! My granddaughter and her friends fell in love with the game room in the basement...more like an apartment with the complimentary working popcorn machine. And the amazing view of the mountains and breathtaking sunrise and sunset! I Love...Loved..Loved it!!!!
Great cabin with multiple decks to relax and take in the views and sounds of nature. We all enjoyed the finished basement area, especially, the teenagers! We enjoyed playing pool, air hockey, and watching football together. The large pool was very clean and refreshing and hiking trails are plentiful in the area . We did experience an issue with utilities that was beyond the owners control and they were very gracious and understanding in the resolution. We are looking forward to returning!
Nice place with all the amenities. Plenty of room for our family of 7 adults and one baby. We enjoyed our stay. Cleaner was very helpful in helping with return of cell phone left behind. We were most appreciative.
We will definitely return again later in the year when the leaves change. Our family had a very good vacation and would like to visit this getaway again. Everyone was fantastic and very friendly .
We had a wonderful stay. House was in great shape and enjoyed watching sunsets on the porch. The pool, exercise room and paddleboats were really nice and easy to access. Lots of trails for hiking.
The house had little things that you needed. (like hand soap at each sink) Loved the screened in porch with grill! Things were labeled that helped greatly!!
