Deep Gap, North Carolina
Come and stay in our unique quonset hut! This is a half circle metal building turned into a unique tiny home cabin experience. This 400 sq ft space has everything you need including a bedroom, bathroom and upstairs kids loft. The main area has colorful wood details and an accent wall with 100 year old barn wood right from our own farm. The water is straight from a natural spring up our mountain. This space is ideal for couples, and two kids.
The space
This was the most unique build we have done yet. The inside had to follow a half circle steel quonset hut building. You will find everything you need even on demand hot water and a washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with and a natural gas cooktop. The porch overlooks a natural spring with a small waterfall and some swinging vines. This was the old shed to the farm house, so you are in close proximity to the original farm house.
This is a wonderful place to stay, a quiet peaceful gem. Beautifully crafted. Lots of room for us 3, clean, well appointed (kitchen has new high quality equipment and tools as well as some grocery basics), regional tourist magazines and info. Nice seating and bbq outside. Gravel road in but easy access to highway. Highly recommended
Loved this Tiny Hut. This tiny cabin was very spacious. The living room had great space and a comfortable sectional couch. The galley kitchen was well stocked w/ items needed to prepare meals if you wanted to. I loved making fresh, pour over coffee every morning. The bathroom was complete with a rain shower head and optional sprayer. In the bedroom, the big king bed was super comfortable. The location was convenient to both Boone and nearby West Jefferson, where the Ashe County Cheese factory is. At night we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of crickets and a babbling brook. We would definitely stay again if it's available. Owners were easy to get in touch with as well.
The house was just as described. The view is amazing and the stream sounds beautiful!
Love the Happy Hut. Looked just like the pictures showed. The stream was awesome at the back deck and the bigger creek across the gravel road was wonderful and relaxing. Plan to come back in the fall.
This was our second trip to the happy little hut and there wasn't a single thing I could think to improve it - just a perfect little place in every way. The space is well appointed, meticulously clean, the setting is gorgeous, and our family of two adults and two teen boys were comfy and cozy in every way! The size of this place is shockingly accommodating and every detail is thoughtful and comfortable. This is the first place we look for to stay anytime we are in the area now...
We needed a clean place to stay out of town and this little place was so nice! Beautiful wooden walls and very well insulated!! Hottest water i have ever taken a shower in!! A couple with a couple kids would fit perfect. Property owners are on site , which was handy for questions. Dirt road entrance , but you could jump in a creek almost from the back porch. We will definitely go again when we have more time to enjoy it!
