Pine Grove Cottage - Romantic Getaway on Private Lake

The area was very relaxing and clean.

Great place and property. Quiet but convenient to what we needed.

The Pine Grove Cottage is a great escape to enjoy being in the country and fishing a private lake! The inside is clean and beds comfortable! We caught lots of small bass, but my husband lost a couple of big ones. We enjoyed the town if Winnsboro that was close by, good restaurants and shopping! Paula is a great host and helpful through our entire stay!

We consider this as a home away from home. So relaxing not a room in house where there not somewhere to stretch out and relax. You need something Paula takes care of it. They make you feel like family. Love it.

The Pine Grove Cottage was fantastic.It is such a a cozy place but at the same time all the room you need.The property is unbelievably well kept.The fishing at the pond is awesome.It is a great place to get away to and relax.The Acher's are such sweet and accommodating host.This is a wonderful place.

The perfect getaway!! Great location, pure peace and quiet. Paula is a great host, check in was a breeze. The property has everything you could possibly need, literally a home away. We both enjoyed everything and look forward to returning!

Our stay at Pine Grove Cottage was excellent! Paula was the most gracious host that we have had the pleasure of meeting ad the cottage was very clean and neat. The fishing was excellent which is what we went for and we have made plans to visit again next year.

Another great experience at Pine Grove, peaceful and relaxing. The house stayed cool in the heat and the trees provided plenty of shade. The fishing was excellent as we caught over 40 fish in 3 days. And don’t miss the opportunity to interact with Paula and Jim. They are very nice people and very f you need anything just ask.

What a peaceful, relaxing, and private setting. Everything we needed was here. Fresh eggs from the farm, homemade jam, and cantaloupe were an added bonus! Beds were very comfortable. Everything worked inside. For a cottage in the woods, surprising no bugs inside! Bonus! Host was more than accommodating and helpful, very responsive! We loved fishing on the boat and caught lots of fish! We will be back for sure!

Had a nice and relaxing visit. Paula was very nice and had everything in great shape. We enjoyed the scenery and fishing and just spending time together as a family. We recommend it highly!

The property is gorgeous. This is the perfect place to get away and hear nothing but nature. Being out in the boat was relaxing and the fish were biting. Paula is always quick to respond and she had the place ready to go with fresh eggs, blackberries and blackberry jam. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful area close to the lake for a relaxing, reading, and fishing. Well maintained lake with excellent bass fishing opportunities. The host Paula does what gives the full meaning of hospitality.

Highly recommend this property. Nice and quiet get away. The loft is accessible by a small ladder, so not ideal for everyone, other than that, this property is great for a family getaway. Owners are very nice and very accomodating!

The cottage was comfortable with a beautiful view of the pond. We caught lots of bass.

Stayed here for a weekend while riding at Barnwell Mountain. Great spot and it worked out perfectly. Even saw a bald eagle!

Property was as advertised. House had plenty of room to do your own thing or be together. Found everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals. Large property with plenty of room to explore and fish.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT

This little cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you’re a fisherman then you won’t have any problem catching fish. My husband probably caught about 30 fish over 3 days. Most were small but he did catch a 4 lb bass and 7 lb catfish. The sun porch facing the water is perfect for reading a book and enjoying the view. Beds were comfortable. We will definitely be back!!

My boys took their dad and grandad on a guys fishing trip for the weekend and they had an absolute blast! They said it was quiet and peaceful. The place was well stocked and comfortable. They really enjoyed the private pond and each caught 30+ bass. They said the provided breakfast food and fresh eggs were delicious. They also brought blackberries home that the owner gave to them from their garden and I made blackberry cobbler with them. They haven’t stopped talking about how much fun they had! Such a cute fun place to getaway from it all.

We have stayed at Pine Grove Cottage on numerous occasions and it just keeps getting better couldn’t ask for a more gracious host we will be back again in late fall to enjoy all the beautiful fall foliage
