Had a great stay at the house. All supplied needed were there. House was clean and ready.

Pros: Cozy inside, comfortable bed, decent kitchen and bathroom, nice deck, fenced backyard for dog, off street parking, barbecue, bird feeders with bird food provided, washer/dryer, pets free Cons: squeaky floor in bathroom, ants in kitchen, nails sticking up in flooring near front door, a/c unit didn't cool cabin well on a summer day

Fantastic set-up for our 2 dogs! Owner, Jay, is super helpful. Easy for all to get around and just a beautiful cabin in the woods!

We loved this property! I exactly what we wanted. Quiet, nice backyard space. A place you can relax & enjoy nature. Owner even emailed to remind us to check out a local viewpoint, it was absolutely gorgeous! We would love to go back. My son & brother even asked where we went so they can take their wives!

The two of us and our dog were very comfortable here. We spent four relaxing days exploring the town and the Nature Center and trails. The cabin has a rustic feel while the amenities are updated and clean. It is located in a quiet area and close to town.

We had a lovely stay at Jay’s property. The place was clean, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. Jay was great to work with, very accommodating, and made everything easy. It’s a short drive to town and had plenty of room for our dogs. We had dinner and drinks at the Idyllwild Brewpub—definitely a must-go. We’d stay again.

Just like its sister cabin Whispering Pines, Peaceful Pines was every bit as cozy and welcoming. As always, Jay is a very kind host and keeps practically everything one would need in his cabins. Jay provided good directions before we arrived, and checked in to be sure all was good after our arrival. The house and yard are supper comfortable. A great place to stay for a mountain fix with your dog.

Great cozy cabin with parking off street and fenced yard. Great heater and wood stove. Big kitchen and bath. WiFi and streaming tv. Quiet neighborhood and not far from town center and mountain sports. We had a great time.

Jay's property is located nearby the town and many hiking trails, and it has all the essentials for our stay. It was a lovely cabin, and our dogs enjoyed the backyard a lot.

This was a great cabin in Idyllwild. It was quiet and peaceful, but still convenient to get to town for food and other necessities. The host was nice and responsive. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Idyllwild.

Perfect get-a-way for Thanksgiving and our wedding anniversary. Doggies loved the enclosed backyard and there was a space near front door that fit their two kennels perfectly! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner at the cabin and had all the utensils we needed (we did bring roasting pan from home). Bonus - Saturday night was lighting of the Idyllwild Christmas trees (7 of them!). It was a busy weekend in town with all the festivities, but this house is just over a mile from the town center, so we didn't have to deal with traffic or crowds of the Holiday weekend unless we needed to something in town. Jay is amazing to work with - very quick to respond to messages and he had lots of tips of restaurants, etc. He was super helpful!

I have stayed at this cabin twice this year. It has become my home away from home! The owner, Jay, is a wonderful, helpful host, quick to respond to emails and very welcoming to pets. This was perfect for my dog and I, and a friend who came for one night. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, I felt extremely safe and felt safe with my dog in the fully fenced backyard. Was a very quick drive to town and only ten minutes to the Ernie Maxwell trailhead. Jay was an excellent host. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay! I would recommend this property to anyone who needs a getaway in a very comfortable cabin. Everything we could have possibly needed was thought of and available to us. The cabin was perfect for my husband, myself and the dog. This was the first time we brought the dog along. The fenced in backyard was a plus. We really had a nice time and are thinking about returning in the summer.

Peaceful Pines was a perfect cabin size for me and my two pets. It is clean, neat, comfortable and has the most adorable cabin-y decorations. I love them all. The host supplies everything you need - including a hair dryer, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and everything you need for food preparation. The cabin has a nice backyard too - and for the first time in my life, I saw baby squirrels. The location is perfect. It is very close to Inspiration Point and 5 minutes away from town and restaurants. The Idyllwild Nature Center is just 10 minutes away. Most importantly, the host is very helpful and responsive. You will enjoy Peaceful Pines and Idyllwild!

As always Jay was a delight. House was very clean, location was great and easy to get into town and the dogs had a nice back yard to play and enjoy the cool weather. This is our 3rd stay at Jays properties and we look forward to the next visit.

House is the perfect size for a couple getaway, and for us our 1 dog. Located just outside the village, in a super quiet neighborhood. The main living area is spacious, and has the bed, sofa, and small dining table. Out back is the kitchen and bathroom. Decent size yard that is truly fully fenced in that you can safely leave your dog. Plenty of squirrel watching! This place is great value and well recommended. We'll be back!

Quiet no traffic street with good parking and cozy . Bed, bathroom living room all set up thoughtfully. Kitchen very adequate for meal preparation. Perfect for two people and a dog with fenced in backyard. Short drive to downtown and to many hikes. It’s for a couple with a pet, not a honeymoon

Me and ny wife came up to Idyllwild just to kinda get away and this cabin was perfect. Very relaxing, cozy and great for our dogs. The kitchen was pretty well stocked(pots, pans, utensils, etc). The yard is completely fenced so the dogs got to run around and we didnt have to worry about them going off into the woods. And finally, Dan the owner was super accommodating and very nice.

We had the best trip ever. This cabin is awesome from the front door threw out and the backyard was amazing. The inside of the cabin is beautiful decorative and makes you feel like you are truly in the woods. The fireplace is awesome and Jay gives you all the free wood you could ever burn. The cabin is just so perfect in every way. We took our 3 dogs who felt welcomed and loved it too. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jay for your hospitality and beautiful cabin. Until next time. I had a lovely relaxing time at the cabin with my dog.. the yard is fully fenced so extremely safe for my dog to explore. There were some lovely walks in the neighborhood and Idyllwild shops and restaurants are just a few minutes drive. The cabin had everything we wanted in the kitchen and a nice comfortable bed. Jay, the owner, was highly efficient in communicating and made sure my dog and I had a comfortable stay. I would recommend this cabin for anyone who likes a nice relaxing, restful stay - iits also close to many hiking trails.

We have stayed at many spots with our dogs but this spot is the best. The backyard is perfect for dogs. The cabin is very cozy and so close to the town center. We will definitely come back.

The cabin was perfect for a mountain getaway and with my dog. She loved having the bug backyard to roam around in. Location was good, close to town and close to a bunch of hiking trails.

We wanted to take our dogs on a little vacation. This was an absolute amazing place and fully fenced yard for them. They really enjoyed exploring and watching the birds and squirrels. Great cabin, nice size property inside and out. Clean!! Best part for us was the yard for the dogs, they had a ball out there and are still tuckered out from all the running and chasing of squirrels. Jay was a great host, attentive and caring. There was a power outage - all of PineCove Idyllwild SDGE, Jay made sure we had everything we needed and we well taken care of. Thank you!

This was our first time away from home with our 4 month old Lab puppy. The house was great. The yard was bigger than I expected. Very clean with bird feeders and squirrels running along the fence. The house had everything we needed. One thing most places lack is a comfortable reclining chair. There is a double reclining chair here. Very comfortable stay. We will be back.
