Pet-Friendly Adirondack Cabin w/ On-Site Lake

We enjoyed the cabin very much. It had a nice cozy vibe with a great kitchen. The loft upstairs was perfect and the optional tv viewing or large window view was nice too. Plenty tomdmin the area. We were there for the winter carnival which was so much fun

The place was great, had everything you could ever need. Well maintained, warm even in the dead of winter. Great location.

Great property for a getaway. Clean inside and out. Wish we had more time to utilize the boats. Road noise was a thing; if you are looking for uber quiet lake stay, be aware the other side of the lake is a well traveled road.The town, food, farmer's market, Waterhole are a ten minute easy walk.Stairs could potentially be an issue for anyone with knee issues. Stairs to loft are a step and a half. Parking was funky, but not difficult.

Reasonably private for a cottage on the lake along with others near by. Kitchen very well equipped. Only issue was internet connectivity was inconsistent, interfering with watching a movie. I imagine that is out of the owner's control.

Cozy cabin. Loft bedroom really comfortable. Owner very responsive with communication. We were hoping for a bit more privacy and quiet.

The location was great. It is central to a lot of fun family-friendly locations: Whiteface Mtn and all the Olympic attractions. The house is small, but cozy. The air conditioning struggled a little to reach the downstairs bedroom. All of the other amenities were fantastic.

We very much enjoyed this cozy cottage on the lake. The location is perfect, centrally located. We enjoyed sitting in the dock and relaxing.

Very nice camp atmosphere, it was so nice looking out the window at the lake and the morning sun shining into the main living area. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. I really liked the welcome package of wine, chocolate and Trader Joes chips, very nice touch. We always bring our dog so we need to rent a pet friendly home but sometimes they don't feel so pet friendly, dog owners will know what I mean by this. The owners of this cabin are obviously dog oriented, there was elevated food bowls available, dog towels if needed and poop bags. I felt very comfortable having my dog stay here.

Good amenities, well appointed

Perfect spot to enjoy the Adirondacks. Close to Lake Placid but not right there so no crazy traffic. Love the access to the lake to relax with some coffee

We had a wonderful stay at Skylight. While it was snowing pretty steadily when we arrived, the walkway was shoveled and we had immediate contact from Jason to help us park in the right place since the snowbanks hid all the signs! The cabin was perfect for us and our two boys, ages 4 and 7. We all cuddled in the loft for a movie on the “magic tv” Saturday night after watching the Winter Carnival fireworks from the dock (it was too cold to haul the boys into town). The cabin was very well appointed - the owners have thought of everything you need! A very sweet welcome basket greeted us upon arrival. We will be back for sure!

Great cabin located directly on Saranac Lake. Well kept and very clean. Found everything my family needed during the stay. The loft bedroom is great for kids (or parents). Great location.

We were so happy with the stay. It was exactly what was advertised. And, warm and welcoming.

Right on the lake. Walk to Saranac for shopping and dinning. Don’t forget some reflective wear for your walk back after dark. Deer all along the way and sidewalks on the main road. Roomy cabin with a first floor bedroom, bathroom, laundry, great fireplace to quickly take the night chill away. There is a grand second floor loft bedroom as well. Gourmet kitchen with all amenities plus. Our host had a beautiful welcome basket for us on arrival. Easy entry. Yes there are steps from the parking lot down to the deck and entry but well lit at night and ez for a couple of 75 year olds. Deck for relaxing and a lake front dock for boating, fishing or relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee. Jason, our host, was very responsive. Close to everything that is ADK. 5 star plus. Great Labor Day holiday getaway.

We loved our stay at this cozy adirondack camp right on the water. We did alot of kayaking enjoying the view of the beautiful mountains. We loved the upstairs huge king bed and hidden large tv. Everything was supplied except food which was so nice. We agree with others that the stairs down to the camp definitely need work especially a railing. My only other suggestion would be to swap the sink and toilet, a little difficult to get ready stradling the toilet to see in the mirror. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Great cottage, fully equiped. The only thing was the busy road the other side of the lake that makes it noisy until late at night.

Fantastic.

Would love to have better (non-broken) Adirondack chairs and a fire pit like the other cabins.
