Stayed Dec 29, 2025Great host, beautiful off the beaten path setting with toucan birds flying around. We had a small 2 wheel drive SUV and had no issues getting to the cabin in rain or sunny conditions. Keep your momentum and it’s an easy little drive up a hill. Close to Quopos and Antionio Manuel sites (20-30min). If you want a country setting and a great escape then I highly recommend it! Already planning our trip back!

Stayed Jan 11, 2025This beautiful log cabin is perched in the hills where the deck catches the mountain breezes. Bring binoculars for birdwatching! We lived on that deck! The air conditioning is once for sleeping, and the kitchen is small but functional. The drive up to the cabin from the main house is very steep, but we made it up without 4 wheel drive since I am used to driving up hills in snow and ice! If you are not, rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Or take the bus (4) or taxi 14) from Quepos. Sheyla is an amazing host and made sure we were comfortable, including bringing up another pot for the kitchen (I cook a lot when we travel). Plus, she knows several guides in the area if you are interested in tours. We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed Dec 29, 2024Our stay at this house in the jungle was absolutely magical! From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the host made us feel right at home. Communication was seamless, and the check-in process couldn’t have been easier. The location is breathtaking—nestled deep in the lush jungle yet conveniently close to local attractions and essentials. It truly offers the best of both worlds. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by such beauty was an unforgettable experience. The house itself was immaculate and thoughtfully maintained. Everything we needed was provided, and it was clear the hosts put care into every detail to ensure guests feel comfortable. If you're looking for a peaceful escape that still feels luxurious, this is the perfect spot. We can't wait to come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Stayed Jan 19, 2022We stayed at the cabin for four weeks. It was such a great experience. The place was spotless when we arrived. The family who takes care of the place are just the nicest people. Even though there was a language barrier we were able to communicate well. The owner of the place was very responsive on whatsapp, so everything we needed was quickly taken care of. He and his wife stayed close by for part of our trip. They were even taking us to town and back since we were without a car for last 9 days. Who does that?? :) Thank you Dan and Sheyla. We appreciate you hospitality very much. Peter and Ania

Stayed Dec 26, 2021This was literally home for us when we needed to vacate our home in the Central Valley for 10 days. The owners/hosts were exceptionally responsive with all booking inquiries, as well as immediately responsive when Waze took us 40 minutes out of the way & we needed help with re-direction. The caretakers were kind, friendly & very attentive, though thoughtful with allowing us our privacy. No matter the time of day/night, they watched for us to help with the gate or any other need. The cabin, property & amenities are so well cared for, & even for a simple cabina, the kitchen was stocked with just the right basics to allow for our extended stay to involve cooking most meals at home. The cabina is not only clean, it is dry & not riddled with mildew. Hot water is reliable & the water is potable--huge plus! The grounds & surrounding land are welcoming, full of beauty, nature & creatures to be discovered. We even encountered a rare Tayra from the weasel family, Blue Morphos and so much more. Taking a walk/hike right from the property is a must, with more than one option. You should have a vehicle to access the property as it is in the country, however, it has such a great central location for sooo many day excursions that it's perfect! We would absolutely stay here, again. Pura Vida!
