Stayed Sep 12, 2025Very peaceful. Gave us a chance to relax and reconnect. Hot tub and fire pit were instrumental in our relaxation. The fireplace kept the chill of the evening at bay. We will definitely return in the future.

Stayed Aug 19, 2025The property itself would be great if the management company would do their job. The house wasn’t clean, linens were dirty, lawn needed mowed, hot tub was disgusting, grill was dirty, they left nasty sheets on made beds for us. Nothing was ever fixed while we were there, even though I contacted them immediately

Stayed Aug 2, 2024Outdated pictures give misleading sleeping arrangements, not well cleaned or maintenanced, simply having soap and towels would have been nice. Found old underwear in bedroom. Previous guests trash left outside caused wild animal to destroy trash shed.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024Overall it is a good place to stay, you are right on the river, though there is not access to the river. I would have liked to give the house four stars but there were a few problems. The house had no bath for our toddler which should be noted in the listing. Also, a few niggling problems that were small but annoying. Like the DVD remote had no batteries and of course we did not have the right size with us. Having said that it was a really fun stay and our family did enjoy the house and the location. I wish I could give the house 3.5 out of five stars.

Stayed Jun 29, 2024We were so excited for this home as the photos were so beautiful…unfortunately it seems those photos are from when the house was first built. We arrived at the house to find a used wash cloth in the bottom bathroom. When you walk in the home you are met with the smell of dog urine. If you’re going to have a pet friendly home I highly recommend getting rid of the carpet. We had very little water pressure. The shower heads being replaced would probably fix that. I wish there would have been a vacuum we could have used to clean up from walking in and out. As most CO homes there was no ac but ceilings fans would be helpful. The house had 1 ceiling fan and 2 box fans. Only one box fan worked we went to the store and bought 3 fans. The carpets are stained and again smell. We found the water filter in looking for towels….it was brown as mud. The towels are holy and stained so they need replaced. The house could be beautiful it just needs cleaned and refreshed. All the windows didn’t open. With the hot summers mini splits are highly recommended. All the appliances need updated. We had to wash all dishes before using. We wouldn’t even use the toaster because it was so dirty. We love the area but we were so disappointed in the house. The house smelled so bad we left a whole day early and paid for a motel room. Again this home could be beautiful with some TLC. The location is great and the neighborhood was awesome. The local sheriff checked on us & was so nice

Stayed Mar 18, 2024Home was perfect for our 6 people on our ski trip. Could use new towels, but overall the house was supplied with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There’s a couple of grocery stores, multiple restaurants in South Fork. The river is right in front of the house with lots of deer. Private road to the house so it’s very quiet and serene. Property manager is very responsive and wonderful to work with if you have any issues or questions. We would stay at Cutthroat Lodge again!

Stayed Sep 18, 2023Very nice setting and location. descent sized rooms. furniture is a little warn and uncomfortable. We had no hot water the first night but the local folks worked hard to get it fixed asap. They also came right away to fix a faucet that broke. Kitchen was pretty well stocked but some stuff needs replacing i.e. hot pads, towels, Knives, etc. Plenty of blankets, firewood and propane along with plenty enough kitchen and bathroom supplies for a few days. We accidentally left some clothes in the closet and they offered to send to us for an extra charge, but I have yet to hear from the locals or get them back. :( Overall, it was an enjoyable quiet stay and the Vacasa employees were very congenial to work with.
