Osprey Nest Cabin: Cozy private mountain cabin on the Wenatchee River

Great cozy cabin! We loved the location right on the river, nestled in the trees. We enjoyed exploring bike routes in the area and heading into town for treats. The two separate rooms upstairs in the loft worked well for our family of 3. Place is as described and the hosts were very accommodating. Overall, great stay!

Amaaazing! Our 2nd stay at the Nest! So cozy and clean! And they provide everything you need! All we brought were the groceries :) very secluded. And the river is just feet away!

This was a perfect cabin to allow myself and my girlfriend to recharge our batteries from every day life! It was so surreal it felt like a dream! We really appreciated our stay and you have the perfect getaway cabin I’ve stayed at in the PNW. Thank you again!

We had a great stay! The house was well equipped and we loved relaxing in the hot tub listening to the river. The only downside is that there were no chairs outside to sit on the back deck or use the firepit.

It was a very nice cabin! Last minute before leaving we got to see river otters!!!!! It was very peaceful. Very nice. The hot tub was a nice touch. I love there is a little sand/rocks down by the river so its like your own little beach! They are very organized and communicative.

This cabin was amazing. Nice and quiet get away for my fiancees birthday. We had nice slow mornings with the view of the river from the bed and a great spot for the hot tub. I couldn't have asked for anything else. Amazing cabin vibes!

The amenities in great condition. The host communicated a lot with the flooding in the area where the cabin is. The stairs are steep to the loft not a cabin for older people or people that don’t like stairs. The cabin seems to get a lot of snow compared to the surrounding area. The cabin was magical though and looked like a Hallmark movie cabin

Fantastic cabin property located down a snowy driveway and next to a gorgeous river. This truly was a White Christmas. Very private cabin w a great kit hen, a wood burning stove and a hot tub overlooking the river. A ladder type stairwell takes you up to two open bedrooms, one of which allows you to awake to snowy trees and flowing river.

Everything was wonderful. Best trip we have taken all year.

The Osprey Nest exceeded all of our expectations! The check in instructions were incredibly clear and made check in a breeze. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed cooking, soaking in the hot tub and just watching the river. We also had an amazing view of the Norther Lights! Our stay was very relaxing and we are already planning our next visit! PS, the host and cleaning team is amazing! My husband left his wedding ring, and within a couple of hours, they already had it in the mail and on the way back to us. Wonderful hospitality all around.

This was a great little cabin for my husband and I to just get away and relax for a few days. It was a good reset for us. Host was great and helped with questions we had. Would definitely rent here again!

The hot tub was hot, the bed was comfortable, and the view was gorgeous. If you are able to make a bit of a drive every day this place is a cozy dream!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin - waking up to the sound of birds and running river was wonderful! Settling down and unwinding at the end of the day in a nice spacious jacuzzi was a huge plus as well. In addition, I would like to highlight excellent communications with the owner. Hot tub was the best part!

We’ve been coming to Osprey Nest for 12 years. It’s magical and incredibly peaceful. Shannon is a dream to work with as a host. We will return next year!

Everything was perfect. Cute little place.

The cabin was very nice, river view was gorgeous. I would just call out that if you are traveling with your dog, you will not be able to sleep near them. All the beds are accessible only by a ladder that dogs cannot use. The host does include this information on the posting but it wasn't prominently displayed and I missed it. The back porch doesn't have a gate either, so you can't have your dog off leash in any of the outdoor areas. Lovely cabin if you aren't traveling with furry companions though!

Nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Riverfront is awesome. Saw the Osprey flying by several times. Awesome!

Beautiful and private river location that felt like we were the only people there. Cabin was really nice with almost everything we needed. The store in nearby Plain, WA was an easy 10 minute drive for extras.

We had a lovely stay at the Osprey cabin and had all the comforts we needed for a short stay. Shannon was very responsive and the home was incredibly well kept. Not too far from the Lake — would definitely stay here again!

The Osprey Nest was a great property for a quick getaway. It is clean, quiet, and peaceful. We had to cut our trip short, but we wish we could have stayed just a bit longer. Close proximity to Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth.

We loved this cozy “home away from home” We fell asleep to the soothing sound of the river just steps away from the deck. The views are gorgeous, the hot tub so relaxing, and the location guaranteed us lots of peace and quiet.Once we rested up, it was an easy drive to find fun things to do in Leavenworth and Wenatchee. Our host was very good about communicating with us. We hope to stay again on our 1 year anniversary!

The Osprey Nest Cabin provided our little family of 4 a wonderful getaway. Close enough to day trip opportunities (Wenatchee Lake, Leavenworth) while still removed enough to give us a break from the hustle and bustle at the end of each day. The layout of the cabin was great, and location on the river was super fun for us and the kids. Listing information is accurate and there were no surprises. I we would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

The cabin is amazing. It is at the end of a road and right next to the river. Wonderful common spaces and comfortable beds. Open the windows at night and listen to the water.

This cabin provided everything we needed to relax and forget our life stresses for a few days. So clean, comfortable, well-maintained and stocked, and beautiful with the river there and peaceful surroundings. Our children loved the stairs, loft, and pretty much everything too. We will definitey be back.

Overall had a great stay! The location is beautiful! Secluded, but still within a half an hour of Leavenworth. The host was great at communicating, as well.

The Osprey Cabin is the ultimate in privacy. Likely the only people you'll see from the property is the occasional rafter going down the river. This getaway cabin is a real find and our host Shannon was very quick to respond to any needs.

What a unique experience, to find an actual cabin in the woods... No neighbors, no traffic, just a cabin, the trees, and a river. And only 20 minutes to Leavenworth, if you feel like you need leave.In addition, Shannon was very helpful and a great communicator (make sure you read the pre-instructions she sends), the house was clean and well appointed, and check-out was a breeze. This is our new favorite place and can't wait to return.

Everything was great. Host provided valuable information from turn by turn directions to extra details such as the river level. We’ve already discussed going back. The stairs were quite steep but to be expected in this type of cabin. The sound of the river was so relaxing and tranquil.

Super cute cabin right on the river (but watch out for mosquitos!). It's a bit of a drive to Leavenworth (about 30 minutes), but great if you value seclusion at the expense of a little convenience, worked great for us!

The property was quiet and away from several places but the river and secluded nature was exactly what we were looking for!

This cabin is in a beautiful setting, right on the river and without visible neighbors. It was well equipped and clean. The two queen beds are up a loft staircase but there is a hideabed on the main level if someone cannot make it up the ladder. There aren't any drawers or closets to store your clothes but that was fine for our short stay. Really would recommend this location . We used it as a base for several day hikes. The hottub and jetted bath were wonderful. Definitely listen to the hosts and bring your mosquito spray! We will be back.

We came to town for an event, so we were in and out, wishing we had more time at the cabin! The little bit of time we did have was relaxing and quiet. The cabin was super clean and well taken care of. They had everything we needed plus some. The owners are super communicative. My daughter and I were very pleased with our stay and already can’t wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights with our 2 labs. It was perfect. Very private. No other homes within view. The large hot tub on the deck right on the river was the perfect setting to relax. Everything was clean and kitchen was well equipped. Shannon was very easy to communicate with as well. We look forward to returning in the future.

Went on weekend getaway for my wife's 30th birthday and really enjoyed our time, very peaceful and great spot to forget about busy life and slow down for a bit get in one with nature listen to the river while in the hot tub.Definitely recommended !!

This was an amazing cabin, between the weather and close proximity to the river, this cabin is a great way to enjoy nature. This cabin is clean and is as advertised. Kitchen has everything you need to make a great meals and the table is great for games or puzzles. This place is high on my list of places we'll visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was very peaceful and the perfect spot for our ski weekend.

This was our second visit to the Osprey Nest Cabin and the reason we came back was we wanted to experience another season at the cabin. We love the accommodations and feel it exceeds our needs. Clean, well stocked with what you need, quiet and cozy. We love the location because it is close to Leavenworth but also, close to hiking/snowshoeing trails. Shannon is the best host with great communication, accommodating when needed and just easy to work with. I would highly reccommend a stay at the Osprey Nest Cabin!

A spacious cabin with everything you need! The view from the hot tub in the snow was amazing.

So nice!Plan to bring your own hatchet and wood, owner does not provide.We had trouble with the smart TV box - stopped working. Not a big deal for us, but hopefully it gets fixed.

We were so happy to get to come back to this special cabin in the woods. We stayed in this cabin 13 years earlier when I was pregnant with our first child. We now have two girls and we celebrated our oldest daughter’s 13th birthday at the cabin! Everything about it was just how we remembered- besides some very enjoyable upgrades! Now we enjoyed a hot tub and a new staircase to the loft. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Every morning I looked forward to waking up to the river and forest covered in snow- right out the bedroom window. There was nice, cozy space for our family inside the cabin, and we enjoyed the outside most! Private river access to walk and enjoy nature, acres of woods for the girls to run and play, and the hot tub under the stars.The customer service was excellent too. We had one minor appliance issue. When I reached out to the host they replied immediately and asked if they could send someone to repair the same day. We left to ski and by the time were returned, it was taken care of with no interruption! (Even on the MLK holiday weekend). We would love to come again, highly recommend!

The place was nice and clean . Great location, nice and quiet . We even got some good snow while we were there .

Everything was well thought out. The hot tub was a perfect temp in winter. The neighbors across and down the river had a Christmas tree up. It was well stocked with towels.Beds and bedding were comfy.

Thanks for the extra towels by the sliding door. We bought wood at the Plain grocery and enjoyed the woodstove to keep us cozy last night while it snowed a few inches over night and dusted everything white and extra beautiful. We also loved being so close to the river, it was a sweet stay, thank you!

it was great. The stairs to the bedrooms are pretty steep. Also the water heater ran out of hot water before the bathtub was even up to the jets. so we didn't use the jetted tub.. my husband says they need to check the heating elements. You are also pretty limited to where you can walk through the woods because it is private property all around you. The river was a plus. Overall we had a good time.

We enjoyed our stay at the Osprey Nest over Oktoberfest weekend. The cabin was clean, well stocked and very charming. The location is ideal into Plain and Leavenworth. We have already booked another stay for February to experience a few days snowshoeing!!! This was a gem!!

The property is absolutely beautiful and private. Such a good location. Just a few minutes from so groceries or anything you need, and 30 min from Leavenworth, but gives you the feel of being in the middle of the woods on your own. The cabin itself is so nice and very comfortable. It is well set up with lots of thoughtful touches. The host (Shannon) is very thoughtful, and communicative, and helpful. Book it now! You will not regret it. We will certainly be back.

Just what was needed, a cozy cabin on the river. Was everything and more than described and we plan to return.

My wife, dog, and I had an amazing long weekend at the Osprey Nest. The cabin was very clean, matched the description online, and was in a beautifully secluded location abutting a babbling bend in the river. The only consideration is that the two lofted bedrooms are not enclosed, so that could impact traveling with 2 couples given less privacy, but it was perfect for our solo family. Shannon was incredibly communicative throughout the process even though we had no issues that needed addressed. Would absolutely stay again!

Everything was very nice. I am very pleased. A couple of things I would share. 1- The cable to secure the hot tub is not long enough to lock it. 2- Check your dryer. It is either got issues or I was not smart enough to run it. 3- There was no coffee. I have traveled to Leavenworth every year for 20 years in a row. This iss the first time I stayed at a house that did not furnish coffee. We bought our own - we lived - it was not a big issue.

No other cabins in view - lovely! Quiet river, excellent stairway to bedrooms located upstairs, very good roads between cabin and nearby towns, lakes, etc. Good WIFI and cellphone (Tracfone). Landline didn't have a dial tone.

Such a magical spot! River to lull you to sleep in well appointed beds, sparkling hot tub, clean, serviceable kitchen…

This is a wonderful place to stay. It was quiet and restful. The only down thing was no bedroom downstairs but we used the pullout sofa with an extra mattress and it worked out fine. Very well stocked cabin with everything we needed.

This cabin is so welcoming and delightful. Despite the thunderstorm that was out of everyone’s control, the fact that The Osprey Nest is soft on the eye and soothing to the soul was a boon as my friend and spent the weekend playing board games in this magical setting. Both of us were so happy to be listening to the sounds of the river in the cool of the forest in the beauty of this little treasure outside of Leavenworth. We’re hoping to return. We even were visited by an eagle across the Wenatchee River the sunny morning we left. Definitely a 10/10

Set back on a private road with great river view

Two adults and two children stayed 2 nights and we had plenty of space. The view on the river was spectacular. It was peaceful but not too remote. We went to the Plains Winery for music and wine tasting that was close by. Shannon was excellent providing information for our stay and overall communication was outstanding.

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Osprey Nest. I think this is my fourth or fifth stay? I'm losing count. But it definitely won't be my last. It's such a special little cabin in a secluded spot on the Wenatchee river. Cannot recommend more.

This is our 10th year coming to stay at Osprey Nest. It's absolutely perfect. Shannon, the host, is incredibly responsive. The kitchen is stocked better than my one at home. It's so clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The location on the river is unbeatable. We always get a little emotional when we have to leave. We will be back again next year.
