Driving cross country with a solid 3 days of driving and a needed place to stay and rest before pushing on. What a fantastic off the beaten path place to rest and relax. Has a cabin feel but modern. A short walk out the front door down to the Rio Grande River to watch wildlife or to sit and have a fire just feet from the rivers edge. Don’t forget to look up once the sun goes down. The fall crisp clear sky reveals some amazing stars. Restaurants and groceries are just few minutes down the road. Wildlife is everywhere depending on time of year. Even a bison heard 10 miles to the east. The drive to Lake City and Gunnison one of our favorite routes in Colorado. Watch late night driving and wildlife. Elk, deer, moose, big horn sheep not uncommon.

This was the most relaxing place to stay. Deer upon entering, the sound of rolling water, the smell of a camp fire. No words can describe how excited and happy I was in that spot on the side in the river with the amazing views. I’m truly blessed and grateful for my husband for this trip.

The cabin was very easy to find & hosts communicated often. Cabin was very clean and ample supplies: linens, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. We loved the outdoor space on the river with several chairs and lounge for outdoor seating.

Cabin is very cute and cozy! Great size for us (an adult couple, baby under 2, and our dog). The cabin was very clean and had most basic necessities. Paper products and propane tanks were not stocked well, we had to purchase paper towels, toilet paper ourselves. The Keurig coffee machine needed to be descaled, so didn’t work very well. The location is easy to access, right off the main road which does take away from the “secluded” feel. The traffic noise was very loud, we couldn’t even hear the river from the cabin. That was our biggest drawback. The river was beautiful, easy to access. Overall, we had a great little trip to the cabin.
