On Jonathan Creek! Family Oriented! Hot Tub! Small Dogs ok

Very welcoming and comfortable property with creek access. We loved it.

Comfortable, welcoming, and great for the family ( our little dog too).

We were under the impression the main house was rentable to other guests not occupied by the home owners. Either way, privacy was of no importance, the husband walked around the morning in his jammies with coffee, and wandered around the property very often. We decided to try the private hot tub only to look up and a lady standing there wanting to plant flowers at the back of the house we rented.. There was no privacy. The fireplace didnt work i told them not to worry with coming over to fix it and soon as we got back from shopping there he was wanting in to fix it. There are serous rotten wood tables and chairs near the river which stick out like eye sores. Even if you could make it to the river for the poor landscaping, the wooden hand rail was so ricketting my mom almost fell. The house needs a MAJOR cleaning, dirt hanging from the stove light/fans, dirt/ crumbs in the bottoms of the drawers, sticky place mats and table. And the ice had dirt in it. Additionally, the fireplace didnt work inside, there was no fire pit outside,the toilet ran for 3 days, there was hair left in the shower floor and on the wall. Additionally we were charged extra to bring our little dog AND clean up after her only to dodge the owners dogs poop. Only 1 back porch lights works if you can see it for all the dead bugs in it. Walking from the spa is a fall hazard and there are no lights around the hot tub which has a birds eye view of the owners house. We felt watched the entire time. Dreadful.

They had a lot of extras. Salt, pepper, spices, shampoo, body wash, and more.

Owners were very welcoming. Beautiful/Immaculate Cabin.With every amenitie you could possibly want.

Everything was as advertised.

We enjoyed our stay, cabin was ready when we arrived at check-in time. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to cook. The back porch would be an excellent place to eat meals or just relax and listen to the creek. We we pleasantly surpised with the snacks provided. I enjoyed the hot tub each evening, great place to relax and listen to music. We also saw elk on our way back to the cabin one day. The gas firplace with remote was a great feature when we first got up in the morning. We definitlety would stay there again, anytime of year. This would male a great location for a family vacation.

This property was perfect for our stay. It was so well decorated. I felt right at home. The owners have done an excellent job of furnishing this house and making sure you have everything you need. The creek running behind the house was so nice. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch and soaking in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing. The checkin/checkout process was very easy. We will definitely be returning to this one.

We had a very nice cabin. It was clean and comfortable. We just wish the weather was better and not so much rain

The house is very roomy. The big deck in back overlooks a nice stream. Bobby and Rhonda are extremely nice and helpful. The house jas every amenity you could wish for. Because its half way up in the mountain it is at least 5-7 degrees cooler than the valley. It is 5 minutes to theBlue Ridge parkway. We will definitely be back.

The house had everything you could think of needing.

Overall great time at the property. The only concern was that the wi-fi and tv didn’t cync up all the time. Kept having to reboot the Wi-Fi. We’ll definitely return though.

We had an amazing week at the cabin. The entire cabin was more than advertised. It was clean, very well stocked with so many extras. I love not having to bring towels and bedding. The beds were very comfortable. Sitting on the back porch listening to creek behind the cabin was so relaxing and peaceful. Waking up to snow was just an added bonus. We definitely want to return.

Me and my husband traveled with our 3 children ages 2-5 years and my dad. We stayed for a week (Saturday to Saturday). From start to finish we had zero issues! The cabin was perfect! The location was perfect! The creek was absolutely relaxing to listen to and sit by. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub as well. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need to cook as far as dishes are concerned. The beds were comfortable and rhe fireplace was so nice to take the chill out of the air since it was really cold outside during our stay. I did not have to contact the host with any issues whatsoever, but I did reach out to her with a general question and she responded right away. We would definitely stay here again and have actually started making plans for our next visit before we ever even checked out.

Will definitely be booking this spot again. Location was easy to find. Owners are very friendly. The house was spotless and just right. Looking forward to coming back with our children next.

We loved staying at Gentry 2. We had everything that was necessary and more. The house was clean and Bill and his wife were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay there again next year.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Gentry's Rest Stop 2 for a few days. The house is comfortably furnished and well-equipped. Honestly, I could have stayed on the back deck all day listening to the creek, but we did venture out to places close by: the Blue Ridge Parkway, Barber Orchard Fruit Stand outside Waynesville (happened to be there for opening day!), and Lake Junaluska to enjoy the beautiful gardens on the grounds. We are looking forward to future stays.
