Okatoma River Cabin/ Convenient Location

Very private and relaxing. The view of the okatoma was satisfying.

Very peaceful! This was exactly what we needed and wanted. A very secluded place, perfect for relaxing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend get away. Only downfall is there's no good dinning in the area. For us it was a place to get away.

Property was great but hard to find. We were given the wrong access code. Otherwise enjoyable.

The house is very clean and we enjoyed the isolation and the peace and quiet! Sitting on the deck having morning coffee was so relaxing with the birds and the creek. Would definitely book again

This is the perfect place to getaway from everything. Super clean and well maintained. Furniture is a little outdated but still comfortable. With the way people treat other peoples property I can understand. The bed was comfortable and sleeps good. The a/c work very good never had to turn below 72. We've stay here a couple times, we're very pleased both times. I would recommend to anyone looking to have a relaxing time. The kitchen is fully equipped plus some, like things that you might have forgotten like shampoo, soap, aluminum foil, cooking oil, seasoning, etc. Outside is well maintained, even with all the rain it was still well maintained. There's a few outdoor games dart and cornhole. The lighted carport under the house is great place to play games or just gather around. I like that there is no wifi. Like the sign said, No Wifi talk with each other. The only one thing is that the BBQ pit needs to be updated. It good for slow cooking but not grilling steaks.

Secluded location right on the river. Trails to walk & streams to explore. Cabin was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen & great porch for bird watching.

Our trip to this cabin by the creek was an adventure for sure. We had biblical rains which caused some flooding on the property and a bird which got zapped somewhere on the power lines, but through it all, the host was prompt and helpful. For us, this helped us to unwind and relax. Lucky for us, the house is very comfortable and there is lots of options for entertainment. We did not get to do any fishing, but I can see how it would be easy to just drop a line from the porch. The cabin is close to town and a pretty nice grocery store. Everything was clean and we didn't feel like we were missing anything. The only thing I would make sure you are aware of, is the drive through the property can be a little bumpy and if I was in a small car I would be worried about making it through. We had a small SUV and had no problems. Our experience was great and the host was prompt and helpful when we had an issue which is really important when you are somewhere you aren't familiar with. Thank you for offering up your wonderful cabin by the creek, we hope to visit again someday.

The kitchen had what we needed to cook all weekend. The entire house was very clean and towels were provided. Hate that we could not reach the creek by foot. Did some fishing but there was such a cliff down the water our hooks would get snagged. Definitely cannot go wading, saw multiple gators. Over all it was a good trip for a short weekend.

Host was great and very quick to reply to any questions. Property was very nice - close to town but felt very isolated. River was beautiful. House very cozy with everything we needed.

The cabin was very private. We very much enjoyed the alone time. The deck is very spacious and peaceful.

This perfect slice of paradise was just what we needed for the weekend. Just off the interstate, hidden in plain sight. Room for the pup to run and play, and an amazing gathering space for hanging out and enjoying the weather. Total seclusion just minutes from town.

We loved the remote location and the proximity to places to go. Loved the river out the front door.

Very private location. Great views of creek. Great getaway if looking for down time. If you are looking to get in water, this is not the place for that. We enjoyed our time there.

Nice peaceful and relaxing. The location is very close to town but very secluded, even with a pin we had a difficult time finding this literal”hidden” gem! We had everything we needed and plenty of room to relax inside and out, wish there was an easy river access but we couldn’t find one. We enjoyed playing corn hole and darts

Great little place to just get away! We pulled in Friday evening and didn’t even crank the truck back up until checkout on Sunday. Just a super chill weekend with no distractions. We’ll be back.

This is a beautiful, clean well equipped home on a nice lake/creek, on several acres of green land. Very quiet. The sound of the water from the Okatoma River is very soothing. I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway or for a family gathering.

The property was very nice and secluded. The grounds are well kept. It was easy to find, but we are also familiar with the area. Our family had a great time for the weekend. Our only complaint is the coffee maker is broken and there was not any useable wood to make a fire. We did not receive any check out instructions, so we did the best with our know of previous properties we have stayed at.

My husband, 8 year old son and I (along with our 2 dogs) loved our stay! The house was very clean and everything you could need was available. We enjoyed gumbo on downstairs patio, walking the trails, and drinking coffee in the morning while looking out the large picture windows! We will definitely be back.

We needed a place near Hattiesburg to come celebrate my daughter's 18 birthday. This place is away from everything, secluded, and relaxing. Had a nice tender meat from the grill, a piece of cake, and a lot of time to relax.

The whole place was nice and invited peace. We honestly hated to leave. I plan to retire at a place like this.

Pictures are deceiving and not what you pay for. The highway noise is high. Also in the pictures is shows a gas grill. There is an old charcoal grill that is missing some grate. Cobwebs everywhere on outdoor furniture. The firepit is right at the edge of the cliff to the river so there are no chairs around it. There are two lawn mowers underneath the patio. Pictures are deceiving. Wish I could get my money back. We had planned to have a nice, relaxing weekend by the lake. We revised our plans and went to Hattiesburg due to it not being what was expected.

Super nice and quiet area. The river was beautiful. The house was super clean and comfortable. Definitely staying again when I have another work trip out in Monticello, MS.
