Northern Traditions - Loon Lodge

We really enjoy staying at Northern Traditions for the Birkie. Laurie the Property Manager is great and we have had great experiences with Rich the owner. Highly recommend staying here!

The house had great amenities. The kitchen was fully loaded with pots and pans and silverware. Plenty of beds and space for everyone. My daughter enjoyed the little skating rink outside on the ice. The guys went ice fishing. Great communication between Rich and Laurie the property manager. No complaints here.

Host is great to work with, house is well equipped and organized, beds and furniture are comfortable, and the location is perfect.

The house was absolutely beautiful, it was perfect.Laurie the house manager was awesome . She met us at the house and showed us everything. She was 5 star ! Rich responded right away with my questions and was super easy . Can’t wait to go back ! Thank you Rich and Laurie !

We found our entire stay to be excellent. The house and property are beautiful! Everything was immaculate upon our arrival. It was nice that everyone was able to have their own room. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you need to cook. The property manager, Laurie, made us feel welcome upon arrival and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. There was inclement weather that kept us from getting out of the driveway and Laurie made sure we were able to get what we needed from the store for our holiday fun. She always responded right away when we reached out with a question. Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving stay!

This was our second year in a row staying at this cabin, and it somehow gets better every time. One of our favorite things about this home is how incredibly well-stocked the kitchen(s) are. With Pampered Chef no less. We curate a full weekend menu before we come, and we never have to leave. Everything we need to cook, bake, and enjoy every meal is already here. It makes the whole experience feel effortless and cozy.There’s also plenty of space for activities, which we love. We always bring crafts and projects, and there’s more than enough room for everyone to spread out, relax, and truly enjoy the home. The views are absolutely stunning, and the accommodations are perfect for our group.We’ve made this an annual tradition and fully plan to come back year after year. And of course, a special shoutout to Laurie, who is always such a pleasure to meet with when she checks us in. She makes the stay feel even more welcoming.Highly recommend this beautiful getaway!

Beautiful property with a gorgeous view of Long Lake

As usual, the property was clean and well maintained.Both communication and check in were easy.Despite a few rain days, we thoroughly enjoyed the lake, restaurants, golfing at Butternut, and fishing (which was excellent). Our kids look forward to this week every year and truly enjoy all the amenities (Lund, fish cleaning house, screened porch, and large deck). Plan to return next year.

We absolutely loved this house and location. We came for Christmas to spend time with family. Our boys (and dads) spent most of their time ice fishing. We also enjoyed family meals and game nights each night. The house was beautiful and spacious. (We had a small issue with the oven but not enough to stop us for doing what we needed.) The second kitchen downstairs came in handy. Most importantly the house manager was so sweet and friendly! She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival and even checked in during our stay via phone. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We spent our annual girls weekend (4 nights) at Loon Lodge. We have nothing but positive things to say and we highly recommend it. The cabin was lovely with a beautiful view of the lake. There was plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, 2 wonderful fireplaces, comfortable beds and it was super clean and tidy. The property manager, Laurie, was easy to work with and was available to answer questions. We also found towns to explore in the area, and especially enjoyed the combination local indie bookshop/yarn store in nearby Spooner.

From the moment we walked in, we could tell the house was spotless and so well cared for – everything was sparkling clean, and it made us feel right at home. Laurie met us to check us in and she was an absolute gem to work with, incredibly friendly and attentive to every detail, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The cabin itself was beyond cozy! The decor was charming, and it was so easy to settle in and relax. One of our favorite parts was the kitchen(s) – it was stocked with all the Pampered Chef tools we could need, which made cooking each meal there an absolute joy. Not only did we get to enjoy a weekend of home-cooked meals, but we felt totally spoiled with the quality of the kitchen setup. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy, well-equipped retreat, don’t hesitate to book here!

We had a wonderful stay. The lake view from the house is amazing. The house was so well stocked with everything in the kitchen you could think of. You do have to bring your own spices but thats not a big deal. From booking to leaving the process was great. Our property manager was wonderful. We will be back next year. There are quite a few options for lodging on Long Lake. This home and property are by far the best on the lake. Perfect for a guys fishing/golfing trip or with the family. Clean and beautiful property and home. Wonderful property manager and owner. Top notch all around.
