While this location is beautiful and beyond well-equipped, or privacy was interrupted every day with heavy equipment just across the river from us. They left a controlled burn going all night on our first night there unattended. The flames were a few feet high at one point... a bit scary being surrounded by trees. We went slower to use the gas fireplace on the deck and the rug put back was not stuck down. John tripped on it and cut his forehead open when he fell. I'm still not totally displeased with the trip. Again, this cabin is stunning and private, provided the neighbors try to inform the property owner of when they'll have heavy equipment there. We would've loved to have used the river for fishing and other activities, but they were also dredging the riverbed. The only day the crew took off was Sunday, and it rained. The rental agent, Jerrita, was responsive when we called. The only input she could give us was the property owner was going to talk to the neighbors when he came up that weekend. The Jones family has done a beautiful job with each detail of the place, though. Everything was comfortable and inviting. They really have thought of everything you might possibly need during your stay. Is gladly stay again when more privacy can be offered.
