The Space:
Welcome to Summer Pines! A charming waterfront property located on the shores of Henrys Lake. This ideal cabin is picture perfect for hosting your divine Island Park or Yellowstone rendezvous. Summer Pines is a newly remodeled large three-story cabin that hosts 12 guests in 4 private bedrooms and an elevated loft with a stupendous view out the back towards the lake and surrounding landscape. Upstairs are two private bedrooms each with their own cozy queen bed and spectacular views. There are also three semi-private queen beds in the open loft area with its own flat screen tv and access to a private deck overlooking the property. There are three bathrooms upstairs, one full bath with access in the common area, and the other half baths are in the two private queen bedrooms. The basement hosts a large bedroom with two individual queen beds and access to outside through an its very own door. Enjoy a game of pool on the basement pool table while you soak in the scenery of the lake, just outside the large windows. The large master bedroom is located on the main level of the cabin with a large comfortable king-sized bed. Down the hall is a large full-size bathroom with two sinks for your convenience. The expansive kitchen on the main level is big enough for the entire group and has everything you might need to be your own chef. The large island and kitchen table provide plenty of seating to enjoy a home cooked meal or to simply gather. You can’t beat the panoramic views out the back deck. Summer Pines has two acres of undisturbed lake front sights that can be absorbed from the large back deck just out from the dining area and kitchen. If outdoor cooking is your specialty, fire up the grill or gather around the outdoor fire pit for some s'mores or a classic hotdog. Spend the evenings by soaking in this cabin’s hot tub overlooking the lake. Summer Pines has plenty of space for your entire group to relax and enjoy, inside or outside.

Summer Pines is only 17 miles from the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park and is near other attractions such as: Henrys Lake, the Big Springs River, and other convenient attractions like the local grocery store, recreational rental shops, and delicious restaurants.  Though, the cabin’s proximity to attractions isn’t the only beneficial thing about its location, the scenery surrounding the cabin will astound you. This cabin sits on a secluded lot surrounded by lofty lodge pole pines that rest below Sawtelle Peak, part of the Centennial Mountain Range. It isn’t uncommon to catch sightings of moose, elk, fox and hear the chatter of coyotes in the early morning or evening due to its proximity to open meadows and of course a major source of water. Explore your surroundings on the many ATV trails the area provides, with access to these trails residing just up the road from the cabin. Walk or bike down the quiet forested road of Bootjack Drive or simply enjoy the property as part of your mountain retreat to the Greater Yellowstone Region. Want to get out on the water Launch your boat or kayak from the cabin’s private boat dock in the summer months or take up ice fishing in the winter. Summer Pines truly has everything you need and more to fulfill your trip to our neck of the woods.

The house is 3 floors and was large enough to accommodate our family of 6 adults and 3 kids comfortably for 5 nights. The hot tub and game room were great. The house is rustic in a woodsy setting. It’s an easy 30 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone NP. We enjoyed our visit each day after our return from the Park.

Some things we really liked were full size bottles in the showers, and plenty of garbage bags! We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and foosball table! Kitchen was very nice and the couches in the main room were very nice too. Lots of rules with fees, make sure you read through all those in the book when you get there. I can’t say I would call it waterfront. That was a bit of a stretch but we did go down to the dock and you can comfortably walk there. The area is beautiful and an easy drive to West Yellowstone!

The property had everything we needed for 7 adults and 5 kids. Having 2 refrigerators was great. The game room was a hit. The property is beautiful and very peaceful but you cannot sit on the deck and view the water. It is a little bit of a walk to the water with a steep hill. We enjoyed the firepit each night. Overall I would stay here again with my family.

The property provided ample space for 12 people. It is a rustic home but it fits the area and provided all amenities. The property had been updated including new appliances and washer/dryer. Very quiet, convenient for Yellowstone and included an outdoor fire pit. The hot tub unfortunately was not usable.

Spacious. Rustic exterior with elegant interior. Extra fridge was helpful. Washer/dryer super nice. Hot tub after hiking and even jumping in the lake was great. We loved this place.

It was ideal for our family of 10 for a weekend stay. Lots of bedroom and living space for us and it included a pool and foosball tables for the kids and a hot tub for the teens. We also did some fishing at the lake down the hill from the house.

Our stay here was very relaxing. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. There was 14 of us we had children 5-15 years of age. They loved the lower level where they could play pool and foosball. We were able to have a fire and enjoy sitting outside. We were close to Yellowstone which was great. We would Recommend this property!!

Property manager was reachable and very responsive with questions. My family really enjoyed the property! Island Park is a beautiful location with proximity to Henry Lake, Yellowstone, hiking trails and UTV trails. The property is peaceful with a walkway leading to the river. We enjoyed the fire-pit and the hot-tub after long days exploring. As a mom with several teens I appreciated the laundry/mud room just off the front door and the separate living spaces/rec room. We would definitely recommend and will stay here again. We are looking at coming back next year around June 16 when all the trails will be open. The late snow had some mountain UTV trails closed til then but there were still many to explore.

We loved the close proximity to all that the area has to offer. The cabin was immaculately clean and in a great neighborhood. Close to everything but yet felt off the beaten path. We will definitely stay again when in this area for vacation

The property was perfect for our weekend get away. We all live on ranches, so the property was far enough away from neighbors that our 7 little cowboys didn't bother anyone! The cabin was big enough that everyone had their own space if needed. Only one bad thing.....The fishing sucked! Thanks for the great weekend!!

Our family had a great time here! Wonderful property. Very clean. Tons of space for everyone and lots to do. We explored Yellowstone all day and then came back to the house and had everything we needed to enjoy family time. Playing a game of pool while watching movies and enjoying the hot tub. Perfect!!!

My large family enjoyed spending a memorable week at Summer Pines. The property managers were quick to respond to our questions and needs. Highlights: (1) The cabin's proximity to Yellowstone National Park, Henry's Lake State Park, Harriman State Park, and Targhee National Forest. We hiked spectacular forest trails, viewed Yellowstone’s geyser basins and looked for wildlife, fished Henry's Lake, paddle-boarded, and mountain-biked - all accessed within reasonably short drives from the cabin. (2) With 3 levels, 2 decks, 5 bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and a basement rec room, there was plenty of space for everyone. (3) The private dock provides easy access to Henry's Lake outlet for paddleboarding and fishing. We had some fun gatherings around the fire, just outside the front door. (4) The beautiful kitchen has all appliances that one might ever need (blender/food processor, pressure cooker, waffle maker, griddle, coffee maker, crockpot) as well as pots/pans, baking ware, etc. 2 full refrigerators and a large dishwasher made meal prep easy. (5) The hot tub was in good shape and very clean - a treat to sit in during the cool evenings. (6) The new, large washer and dryer were very handy, and the laundry room itself was great for storage. We were able to keep the cabin relatively cool even on warm days, thanks to the box fans in every room. Be aware: (1) the steep walk down to the dock may be a challenge for some (2) trip hazards on the front step. I highly recommend Summer Pines!

Summer Pines was a perfect place for our family Yellowstone vacation. Very spacious for our large group. The kitchen was very well equipped. The property was beautiful. We sighted deer, elk and moose in the neighborhood. This house has so much to offer, we never even got to use all of it.

We had a great stay. Plenty of room for us and very comfortable. It’s about a 20 minute drive to YNP but I’m so glad we stayed here than in West Yellowstone.

This is the perfect family getaway. There were 10 of us eight adults and two teens. With four of our eight adults being over 40 we appreciated having the basement for the other four adults, all under 27 and the two teens 16 and 17, who were able to go downstairs and enjoy the pool table, foosball table, TV and hot tub. Being siblings they were quite rowdy and truly enjoyed being together in their space. We enjoyed the fire pit area where the whole family gathered making s’mores and just hanging out. The open area on the main floor was perfect for our big group. There’s plenty of seating around the table and also at the island. The space made it easy, preparing and eating meals together. The kitchen is fully stocked with every gadget you can imagine Insta pot crockpot and waffle-maker, the one like you see in the Hotels. The only thing missing was an ice-maker, but our property manager promptly brought us a large bag of ice along with a few other consumable amenities. The property manager was nothing less than “Johnny on the spot” taking care of every tiny detail to make sure our stay was perfect. The overall consensus with the family is that this is a place we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it to others.
