Muskie-Lounge River Retreat! Secluded getaway.

Older home that was beautiful and restored really cool

This property is very quiet and everything was in the house that we needed. Only issue was we had 2 older people that were not able to get up the steps and that is where the couch is. Only place to sit downstairs is the kitchen table. Other than that everything was great.

I really liked how quiet it was I loved sitting on the balcony first thing in the morning got to watch two baby deer playing the property is perfect my kid's didn't want to leave we had an amazing time

We really enjoyed our stay! Quiet and private, but at the same time accessible and close to activities. Big enough and equipped for families!

Everything was perfect kiddos had a great time and so did we.

This peaceful, serene getaway was exactly as described and had everything we needed.The hosts were accommodating and quick to respond to emails.The only downfall was the weather- we will be back to explore the area!

This cabin was awesome, secluded and quiet, we explored the area with-in 2 hrs. of cabin every day, visited town shops and antique stores. Visiting New River Gorge then Buffalo Creek Lantern Cruise was the highlight of the trip, a must see. We had a pit fire every night outside the cabin, awesome firepit. Would recommend this cabin for your stay.

The property was not exactly as expected, but has amazing potential. The AC was good but little hot in the downstairs bedroom. No living area downstairs only the kitchen table. Some details to cleaning were needed, downstairs bathroom was a bit rough and needed to be cleaned (hair in bath and on wall, bath mat never cleaned and kitchen coffee maker had not been cleaned, not sure how long it was sitting there unused (went to Walmart and bought our own coffee and press). Only 2 garbage bags provided for 5 adults so we used plastic grocery bags. No fishing or swimming from property, wasted 35 dollars per adult to fish because we expected to morning fish for Muskie. Small Charcoal grill, no charcoal, we left ours for the next guests w/ lighter fluid. Fire pit is on a 10’ x 10’ platform (don’t fall off the side), not enough room for 5 adults. Firewood provided but no small pieces to get the fire started unless you have an ax, we left ours for next guests. No shaded spots to sit and relax outside during the day. Had an amazing time in the river (1mile up the road).

We enjoyed our stay. The house was conveniently located to both town and our family. It is a homey dwelling with lots of space. It was great to be unplugged for a while.

The cabin was a great experience for me and my siblings! Everything was very nice and thoughtful, the location was beautiful! The river was on the other side so don't expect to fish or swim without a bit of climbing and walking through plants. Also the train tracks were a very nice walk and through our trip we never saw the train. But there was multiple spots around that where great for hiking and walking around town. The stairs don't have any carpet so be very careful on them as most of the beds and entertainment are up stairs. This is a great spot, as we had never been to West Virginia before but I truly believe that this was a little slice of heaven!

Very spacious and comfy

Overall it was pretty good a few minimal issues. I contacted the property manager about the maintenance room and that there was a random light behind the locked door that goes on and off which was kinda weird but no reply. There was also one pillow case in the downstairs bedroom that had what looked like blood on it. There was a Mattress under the daybed which was actually a box spring with a pad on top not conducive to sleeping on.

Visiting family in the area. Looking for our own space to hang out at in between visits with them. Nice quiet spot, clean and comfortable.

We visited over the holidays with our family and were inpressed with the cabin! Plenty of room for thebkids to play and they loved the toys that were included!We had a few minor issues but the hosts were quicl to communicate and resolve them. Can't wait to stay here on our next trip!We
