The property was very well equipped - including plenty of blankets, games, DVD's, kitchen equipment, condiments - even a couple of bags of ice in the refrigerator - we'd be happy to return anytime. A good base location for trips to Sedona, Williams, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff. Best of all, the home - can't call it a cabin - backed up to the National Forest.
The listing was as described, very nice set up in terms of the layout, amenities were good. The property was as expected on the exterior, very nice area. The interior lacked any preparation for visitors. it appeared there was no pre-cleaning, dusty and bathrooms barely tolerable. There was an incident with an unexpected visitor, which could be almost understood considering we were in the woods and things like that are not uncommon, the owner did respond expediently, but only when the comment was made you probably let it in when you came in did I not appreciate the manner in which business was conducted. Considering the little visitor presented itself the first night and had over whelming evidence of having more of an extended stay than we did.
My family had a wonderful time here. Cozy cabin with a fantastic deck, we loved it. Right off the State forest, it was a fabulous location! We loved the fooseball table, the hiking biking trails, my kids loved the Wii, and it was very lovely. However a few things didn't work for our family, though the owner was very sympathetic and tried to help: -We love to cook, but the kitchen was very small and did not have enough pots and pans for what we hoped to do. It is clear that the owners don't cook much. It's not that big of a deal, but I thought some of you might like to know. Also, the kitchen table only seats 5--very tightly. -The washing machine is not available, at least when we went in October. The owner said that due to the cold weather and broken pipes, that he just disconnected it. I understand, but when you have a bunch of kids, that is really important. -The owners have pets and I am not a pet person. There was dog hair literally EVERYWHERE. I knew to expect some, but I was pretty disappointed. But if you are used to dogs, this might not be a big deal. The owners said their cleaning crew must not have done a good job--and hopefully they have changed that because the fridge and freezer were dirty and there was some dust and spider webs in addition to the hair. If the owners switch up their cleaning crew, this really is a great spot overall. I recommend it in general.
This cabin is perfect for a relaxing getaway with the whole family. There is plenty to do and the scenery is beautiful. The children really enjoyed the wii and the foosball table on the spacious back patio and the whole family enjoyed smores by the fire in the firepit. The owner of the cabin was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
The area that this cabin is located in is absolutely beautiful. There is a store close by as well as a gorgeous lake. We also enjoyed the walking trails behind the cabin. The cabin itself is very family friendly. There was plenty of comfortable sleeping areas as well as a lot of seating. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the large seating area and the fire pit. The kids had fun playing the Wii and using the fusball table on the back patio. Overall, fantastic weekend. The owner is very responsive and easy to deal with.
