Was fun to stay in Alaskan style cabin. Loft is a little tough to access but comfortable once you are up there.
Great location. Private but close to Seward. Cabin was very comfortable. Saw a moose walk right outside the front door. Bobby the dog was super friendly and well-trained. Loved it. 5 stars.
A wonderful place to relax and unwind after full days of activities. Close to town but far enough away to get outside and enjoy some peace and quiet and beautiful scenery.
Quiet and relaxing after a day enjoying the outdoors
Had everything we needed for our week stay. We especially enjoyed using the grill and bonfire in the common area. Very enjoyable!
If you want to visit Seward or the surrounding area this is such a wonderful option. We had the perfect time here. Home was so clean and well appointed. Our host was very quick to respond to any questions and so helpful. You can not get better than what we had in these wonderful cabins. Thank you again for letting us stay!
The Mt. Benson cabin was perfect for our time in Seward. We only wished we had planned to stay longer, as there is plenty to do in the area. The cabin is brand new (it smells like new everything!) and thoughtfully and comfortably furnished. I actually slept in the loft bed, which was very comfortable and peaceful. Safeway is 3-4 miles away, and I recommend stocking up on coffee and breakfast supplies as we had some difficulty finding places in town that were open for breakfast before 9am. The communal gazebo area is really lovely - sadly, the weather didn't cooperate for us to take advantage of it this trip. Definitely take the owners up on their recommendation of a Major Marine cruise - it was a highlight of our time in Seward!
This new cabin was perfect for our 3-night stay. Just minutes away from downtown Seward, grocery store, etc. Hosts were very welcoming & helpful to us. Just know that the loft is somewhat smaller than we thought, and the ladder could be intimidating at first. We were 2 couples & it was great.
There were just some basics that weren’t there. We had to buy our own seasoning and Coffee!!!! I feel like was a huge negative for me as a person who needs it asap in the morning the Safeway is 3-ish miles down the road but there is construction. But I digress… and there was no plunger so they gained a plunger on us. Anyway it was comfortable and clean very nice and new cozy and the fire pit area was amazing. We were disappointed to not meet Bobby but we definitely plan on going back and this will be on our list of places to stay for sure. I liked that it was away from the touristy areas of Seward. I spoke to the owner on the phone he was trying to help us get another night stay but my phone delayed my calls before I saw he had reached out. I thought that was awesome that he reached out. Stay here if you have a chance!
This place ia a jem! beautiful new build in the peacful woods. This place is extremely clean, quiet, and well designed. We really enjoyed our short stay. Will definitely stay here again when visiting seward. Host was very helpful with directions and my son left half of his stuff there, the host let me know immediately, so i could grab it and be on our way. Very impressed!
We loved this property and would definitely recommend this place to all of our friends and family. It’s close enough to town with all the quietness and views of the countryside. The host is steadily adding more amenities for a better stay and you can tell they take pride in their property. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be coming back.
We have stayed in over 15 VERBO'S and vacation rentals from the historic and quirky, tiny houses to luxery homes. This little cabin in Bear Creek has been one of our favorites. The living area is a comfortable place to hang out and the electric fireplace/heater adds just a bit of romance. The whole unit is beautifully decorated. It was a bit chilly when we first got there, but it only took a little while to warm right up. The conditions weren't right for enjoying the outdoor area, but it looked pretty cool. We did book a half day Major Marine Tour and Marchelle is not only an excellent artist but an excellent Captain and tour guide. It was clearly the best value for an activity in a very expensive town. Just some FYI points. Read the directions for the stove! The bed is quite firm. The power buttons for the fireplace/heater are on the front of the cabinet under the tv.
