The cabin was so cozy and cute and perfect for our needs as an overflow house as our family’s house in Big Canoe had so many guests this year! It was clean and had everything I needed and I really enjoyed coffee out on the deck. The only downside is that I suffer from severe allergies and upon arriving I broke out in head to toe hives and had hives almost every night of my stay ….I’d highly recommend the owners get rid of the shag carpet in the rental for people like me with allergies. The rental agents however were VERY responsive and kind with all my questions about what detergents and products had been used in the house prior to my arrival. No one is at fault here - but shag rug is a BEAST for anyone with allergies! Also - you can’t beat the location of this house… and the sunrises were LOVELY out on the porch.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Time. The property was lovely- house had plenty of room for all of us and the place was stocked with everything we needed. Kids enjoyed a day swimming at the pool & lake. If you are worried about distance from a particular landmark- consider that there is an additional 10 mins travel time to enter/exit Big Canoe. Also- if using Jasper as the landmark- there is an additional 15 mins from Jasper as well. We didn’t realize until after booking that we had an additional 30mins travel time to get to our destinations (baseball tournament at LakePoint). Aside from this (which was my lack of planning) the house was wonderful and I would recommend it. It was as advertised. Lovely home- very comfortable, kids enjoyed the games that were in the rec room area.

We took our daughter and her friends to Big Canoe to celebrate her Sweet 16th Birthday. We all enjoyed pickleball, tennis, Beach Club (food, beach, pool, rock slide, volleyball, paddle boards, paddle boats, obstacle course) - it was such a fun weekend! The house was perfect with plenty of room and activities (hot tub, shuffle board, ping pong, games, movies) - perfect weekend!

We were in Big Canoe for a family reunion. We had 5 families and 5 different homes for the week. Mountain Time for our needs beautifully. We have very small children and we found the Wildcat rec area to be our home away from home. The daily cost was 8 v. 20 at the Beach Club. We did enjoy the Beach Club one day and it was lovely. Lowe’s grocery was so convenient. We had everything we needed in Big Canoe for a great week with family.

We had a wedding in Ball Ground and spent 3 nights at Big Canoe. 9 people stayed (2 couples and 5 adult children) and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. Enter at kitchen, dining, living room level. Also on entry level is 1/2 bath, King Bedroom with on-suite and screen balcony and open-air balcony access. Downstairs is a recreation room with 2 bedrooms (queen/king), laundry room and shared bathroom. From downstairs access to screened in balcony with 2 person hot tub and ping pong table (enjoyed playing). Upstairs was a queen bedroom a spacious open air loft with 2 twin beds and a shared bathroom. Overall the house was well suited for my sister’s and my family to spend quality time together. The location was an 8000 acre gated community. It has lots of windy roads (well-maintained) and because there is at least 1 entry/exit that only authorized personnel can access, on more than one occasion our gps took us out of our way so be mindful of this. The house is located at the top of a steep hill and there is limited yard access for a dog but we managed. We had 3 cars so one parked in overflow parking which was not a problem but we did have to do some shuttling. The only activity we did within the gated community was hiking and I was impressed with how well the trails were maintained.

I do wish they advised about having to drive to all the amentities and the dates of availabilty. You have to drive to hike, the playground, water. The roadways are hilly and curvy so walking or biking is impossible. No yard for kids to play in. I also wish the dates were clear when the beach rentals start and end. Having to go to another site and dig for more details wasn't made clear.

This property was the perfect place to anchor our Big Canoe visit. It is convenient to everything, and was spacious enough to accomodate our little ones and extended family. It was clean and had everything that we needed.
