Mountain Dream - New Hot Tub! in Gated Smoky Mountain Retreat Community

The garage door opener they gave didn’t go to that garage door (different brands, even tried to program it just in case it was a universal remote, no go). Cabin was very clean and if you're used to Smoky Mountain cabins, this one is about as steep as the rest BUT it only takes 5 minutes to get up there and is right on the main road halfway between Maggie Valley and Waynesville. Hot tub worked perfectly and was very nice. Pool table is pretty true! One thing I thought was odd, is the rental agreement is not a docusign....you have to print, sign, scan, or have them snail mail it, sign it, and mail it back. Then after I mailed it back, I received 0 confirmation it was received, and no response via message until the third attempt 2 months later. HOWEVER, the ladies in the office were very polite and nice to deal with. To shorten all of this, way more positives than negatives, and we completely plan to rent this same property every year for the truck show!

Conveniently located near Lake Junaluska and Waynesville, yet secluded/peaceful. Hot tub was great and pool table a nice touch. Had a nice, short stay… would recommend.

Check in and out was very easy.I advise no fullsize, longbed trucks as the road from the driveway to the main road is tight. 4x4 a good idea if slick.the nest thermostat was fun. set it at 68* when going to bed, wake up to a house that's 58*, took 14 hours for the main living space to reach 66* It seems it's set on a schedule as it was constantly adjusting itself.the firewood was green, bring a good fire starter to get the logs going otherwise will smoke yourself out of the house and logs won't burn. the hot tub was nice, got to temp quickhouse was clean and supplied well except for kitchen garbage bags.only one outlet in the laundry room so if you're drying clothes you'll need to take the ironing board to the lower room to find an outlet. the one outlet in the pool room didn't work.nice pool table.

Absolutely an amazing place. Everything you need to relax. If you like isolation and want to unwind, this place is perfect!!!!

Reviewer Comments: Master bedroom backs up to kitchen... you hear everything I moved to guest room. The house is dark and the A/C didn’t appear to work. The inside was very clean the outside needs everything from a good sweeping to trimming all the bushes.We left 6 days early... just not impressed.

The house was perfect. We walked in to a clean welcoming house with exceptional mountain views. Each couple had a bed and bath that was spotless. We all commented on how well we slept and how we wanted to know what brand of mattress we were sleeping on. We only cooked breakfast at the house so I can't comment on how well the kitchen was stocked . The only suggestions I have are to have a better wine opener and a measuring cup for liquids. We enjoyed s'mores over the fire pit, our pool tournaments and relaxing in the hot tub. This house was all it was advertised to be and more.

Had a group of friends for a men’s retreat. Wonderful stay and easy check-in/checkout process. Owners were very communicative and had everything and more we could ask for.
