This property now has wireless internet!

Nestled high in the treetops,at 4000 feet elevation, the cabin offers westward views of the Great Smoky Mountains and eastward views towards beautiful Maggie Valley. Enjoy a round of golf at one of many courses in the Western North Carolina foothills, fly-fish for trout in an icy mountain stream, rafting in the tumbling Nantahala or French Broad Rivers, or snowboard down nearby Cataloochee Ski Area. Then relax, in the evening, submersed in the 'hot tub under the stars' while cooking dinner on the grill.

Please note the road to this cabin from the main road in the summertime is a well-maintained gravel road.  In the winter months, four-wheel drive is required and/or possibly snow chains due to not being able to get to the cabin in some type of winter snow or ice event.  Money will not be refunded due to improper vehicles, or due to not being able to get to cabin. This means no sport cars, hybrids, front wheel drive mini vans or sedans, motorcycles or trailers. Four-wheel drive vehicles only.  This property is dog friendly.  Please contact the Property Manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there will be an additional non-refundable pet fee, not included in the base rent. Less than a 20 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This cabin is about a 30 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

About 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

The approach to this vacation rental is on a well maintained mountain gravel road with a moderate incline. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive for accessibility, including the possibility for the need of snow tire chains.

All guests must pick up a guest check-in package including check-in information, directions to property, and keys to the vacation rental home from the property manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations.

Our stay at Tree Top Cabin was the best mountain cabin stay we’ve ever had. We’ve been visiting Maggie Valley for years and always enjoy the community very much. This property is by far the best mountain cabin ever. The views are breathtaking and can be enjoyed from every window and anywhere on the deck. Solid build and comfortable. Hot tub under the stars was was incredible. Hit the grocery store first and then grab plenty of firewood, because you will NOT want to leave!! AWD vehicle is best, but our front wheel drive made it fine during our dry weather stay.

We love the cabin. Everything was just what we expected. The view was even better than we could’ve imagined . We used the hot tub every day and would be happy to come back and stay in the future.

Was a very nice stay. The location was great, on top of the mountain, very quiet, and great views from everywhere in the cabin, especially the hot tub. Perfect place to check into just to rest, and enjoy the peace of the mountains, for a few days. Very close to NP too!

House is pretty nice. Needs some updating. The biggest issue was the pillows were terrible and the beds not comfortable

Nice cabin with a separate living area downstairs! Great for providing privacy for different family members. Was very afraid that it would be heard to get to due to other reviews -But it was really easy access. Would definitely recommend!

We loved staying at Treetops. The pictures online do not do the property justice. The views are incredible, and the house is comfortable and homey. We have been traveling to the area for many years, and we all agreed this was our favorite place. It is a bit of a trek to get to it, but the GPS found it with no issue. Also, although there is no internet, our phones worked just fine. It was wonderful to unplug for a week! Thank you for sharing Treetops with our family.

We enjoyed our stay at Tree Top cabin. Great for couples or families with children as you have 2 separate, private spaces. Basement has a bedroom, full bath and sitting area with TV. Board games and movies abound, interesting books on indigenous people's. Upstairs, open loft bedroom. Beds are a little firm. Abundance of towels and wash cloths, you will be amazed and no need to pack extras from home. Cabin was clean and cozy. Jacuzzi was awesome under the stars. Property is on a very steep grade, drive up the mountain is very steep but managed well in my Nissan Sentra. Just be extra careful and down shift going back down. Driveway is very steep and one way. Steep downhill walk to the fire pit. When I say steep, it is very steep. Probably not well suited for persons with mobility issues. There are other cabins around you but you still have total privacy. Best place to unwind and get away from it all and enjoy the mountain air. Their is no WIFI but our Verizon phones worked with no problems, just watch your data usage! Would definitely stay again.
