One thing you immediately notice is the sounds. There’s a soundtrack of its own: the birds singing, insects buzzing, acorns falling from the trees. The stillness between those sounds is what makes it powerful—you feel removed from the rush of daily life.

Treehouse Mountain is a great place to experience a night or two sitting and sleeping amongst the tree limbs with the squirrels ? .. My wife and I loved the scenery and having the hot tub heated and waiting on us in the afternoon.. The owners were very nice and helpful with everything we ask for , except ice so be sure to bring what you need in coolers .. Also if you like Disc Golf be sure and try out their 18 hole course , it’s very challenging but very well done .. Hope to go back in the near future , highly recommend ? ..

This was a great experience! We stayed in Rubicon and it was awesome! One adult and three teens, plenty of room! Enjoyed smores at the firepit and a soak in the wood fired hot tub. Owners were great! Will definitely try to return!

We’ve been coming to Treehouse Mountain for six years now, generally spending a week. This year we booked Rubicon and Stamish Castle because we were traveling with two friends, their toddler, and dog. Rubicon is wonderful as a base of operations for meals (I love cooking on the Blackstone!) and socializing, while both offer comfortable accommodations for hanging out and sleeping. The wood fired hot tub at Rubicon is also a great, relaxing feature. Tom, Elke, and Layla offer outstanding hospitality, and we’ve loved getting to know them over the years.

Treehouse Mountain was an amazing place. It was very clean with great amenities. My family’s reaction when we arrived was the best moment, It was like we were kids in a dream. Treehouse Mountain did not miss a single thing, every thing that we could possibly need was there, we just had to bring groceries.

The treehouse was the best ever. Nicer than a lot of 5 star hotels. Rain or shine it was the best. So peaceful. I can't wait to visit again.

Check in/check out was the smoothest we’ve experienced. The tree house was immaculate! I can’t count the number of times we’ve stayed places where we had to ‘clean up’ before use. You guys really went above and beyond to accommodate us! We thank you and will definitely recommend it to our friends and colleagues. We had really bad thunderstorms come through and 50 plus mph wind gusts. At no time was I worried about being in a tree!

We had a wonderful stay at Treehouse Mountain with our 5-year-old and 3-year-old boys! From living in a tree house for three nights to building a fire and roasting smores every night, this will be a trip that we always look back on with such wonderful memories. When you have little children, often times a vacation does not feel like a vacation. I can say this was truly one of the most relaxing trips we have had with our kids. The freedom for them to be able to walk around and explore was such a gift. I would highly recommend this trip for families with young kids.

We were surprised at the roominess this house provided! We did not feel cramped at all! It was cozy, clean and comfortable! Beautiful surroundings, great amenities, comfortable bed! The decor was colorful and lively! It needs to be noted that occupants need to be able to climb steep steps to the upper loft as well as stairs up to the deck. You have to walk some distance up the path and across the walkway but these were not an issue fur us. Tim and his assistant were very helpful in getting our luggage and cooler up to the house. They were very accommodating and welcoming to us for our entire weekend visit. We will definitely return!

My wife and I used this geta away for our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it! The Rubicon has a very warm and cozy feel about it and everything you'd need was provided. All the small touches and a large deck really made for a relaxing experience while listening and observing the natural surroundings. Communication with the owners was very easy and they were prompt with replies. We would highly recommend using the wood fire hot tub!! Tom was very helpful and made sure that the hot tub was at just the right temp, both nights we used it.

From the moment my wife and I arrived, the owners Tom and Elke were so kind and accommodating. What a unique and special place. We highly recommend adding this to your bucket list. The treehouse had all the comforts of home but yet sat 20 feet off the ground surrounded by beautiful trees. Sitting on the large deck was very relaxing and peaceful. The wood burning hot tub was an amazing experience and my wife tried the cold plunge which she described as exhilarating. We hiked to Benton Falls which is a Must! We can’t wait to come back.

Rubicon is the ultimate luxe treehouse. The deck is spectacular and you have wonderful views of the forest surrounding you. From the top floor, you are in the canopy of the trees. It raining, a lot, during our stay. The covered porch provided ample space to relax a listen to the rain. We did not get to use the fire pit but the wood fired hot tub was incredible, especially in the rain. We felt like we were in a tropical destination. We made good use of the grill while there. You cannot beat Rubicon. Oh, and the Great Dane, Chica is so cute. Thanks for the memories.

Vacation in privacy amongst the trees. The Treehouse Mountain folks provided us with all the essentials for a luxury treehouse stay. You decide how you want to spend your time. You can keep busy playing games or going hiking or you can just relax in the hot tub or lounge outside in one of the adirondack chairs and enjoy nature, with or without a campsite fire. We had a great time and plan to return with the rest of the family.

The Treehouse Mountain did not disappoint! The most amazing calming place to stay. Tom was so helpful every day in our Rubicon treehouse, building a fire for that wonderful cedar hot tub! The quiet serenity was exactly what we were hoping for, yet just a quick trip into McCaysville for fun shopping and great food! What an excellent stay.

This was our fifth stay at Treehouse Mountain, and our third in Rubicon. Staying here a week each year has become a meaningful tradition for our party of 5 (two couples and a dog). Of all the good things I could say, I think the best is that we love rain days most of all. The ample covered outdoor space gives the opportunity to sit outside, read or play games, and enjoy the sound of the rain in the forest. The hosts’ hospitality and responsiveness are unbelievable, and while the overall setting is rustic, the treehouse has all the comforts you’d expect of a hotel.

Our family of four (kids 13,11) so enjoyed our weekend in the trees at Rubicon! Everything was absolutely beautiful, and no detail left out. We absolutely loved the wood fire hot tub as well as the cold plunge! The onsite owners Tom and Elke were a real joy and their sweet dog Chica. We felt so welcomed and accommodated the whole weekend. It is the most peaceful and serene place ever. We cannot wait to come back and also loved that our dog was so kindly welcomed as well.

I’ve stayed with my friends and family many times at Treehouse Mountain’s “Rubicon.” The wood fired hot tub is amazing. I highly recommend if you’re a peak performer and need a reset, to beat my record of 20 minutes in 100 degree hot tub and then a 5 minute polar plunge for 5 minutes! It’s a baptism by cold and total physiological and psychological reset! If you can trust to work through the shocking pain of the cold that will actually not harm you, it becomes pure bliss. After nights of insomnia, I was finally able to achieve a night of clear head at Rubicon and then solid sleep! I can’t thank you enough for the relief!
