Luxury Mountain Retreat w/Hot Tub, Pool Table, Game Room, Garage - Moose Haven

Moose Haven Cabin is a luxurious custom cabin that is nestled in the woods and totally secluded. The home is about 5 miles North of Fairplay and 25 miles South of Breckenridge (times may vary with road conditions in the winter). The views of the mountains and surrounding woods are magnificent. The home is about 40 miles from Buena Vista which is a popular destination for ATVing and rafting.

Moose Haven has 3 bedrooms. The master suite which is located on the main level, is magnificent.It has a queen size bed, custom log furnishings, an entertainment center with a large flat screen TV, and a study. There is also an en suite bathroom. The bed has luxurious new linens and lots of storage room in the dresser. A second bedroom is located on the main level which also has a queen size bed and pine furnishings. There is another bathroom on this level as well for guests staying in this room to use. The third bedroom is on the lower level. This room also has a luxurious queen size bed with gorgeous new furniture. All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated in mountain decor. There is a full size bath on this level as well. All of the bedrooms have linens and towels and the beds will be made upon your arrival.

The living room is a large open room with a cozy wood burning fireplace that has stone from the floor to the ceiling. There is a large leather sofa and a big comfy easy chair to provide lots of comfortable seating for your entire group. The entire wall is floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views. The ceilings are vaulted with two story windows providing magnificent views from the living room, kitchen and dining room. You will just want to sit and enjoy the views of the white-capped mountains! Lots of books and videos are provided for your enjoyment. There is a large flat screen TV and a DVD player to watch your favorite movies. Satellite Programming is provided as well as wireless internet access. There are flat screen televisions in the living room, downstairs game room, and all the bedrooms.

The home has a full size kitchen with everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. It is open to the large dining area and the living room so you can chat with your friends and family while enjoying cooking. The dining table seats 8 people. All necessary cooking utensils and dishes are provided. There is a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

There is a recreation / billiards room on the lower level with a new full-size pool table (pool is limited to adults only please). This room also has new furnishings including a comfortable sofa bed and lots of chairs for the group to watch the big pool tournament. There is also a flat screen television with Satellite programming.

There is a brand new hot tub which is out in the open so that you can enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains and forest. You can rotate between the hot tub and the warm cozy fire pit on the deck. The deck boast both a gas grill and smoker. There is truly something for everyone at this home! It is surrounded by pine and spruce trees. You can hike around the property or take a leisurely walk up Mosquito Pass Road which offers different views.

The area has so much to offer in the way of activities. In the summer, there is horseback riding right down highway 9 at the Platte River Ranch. They have 2 hour rides, half day rides, and dinner rides. It is a great place for the family to go and ride through the forest and mountain meadows. They give you a true old West experience. There is fishing very near the property. There are several spots and parks near the home where you can fish. There are great ATV trails near the home too.

If you are fortunate enough to come in the winter, there is world class skiing and boarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, and A-Basin. Breckenridge is a 25 mile drive from the home. Breckenridge has fabulous shopping and restaurants too.
