Luxury Log Cabin with spectacular mountain views!

Had a great weekend

Hosts were excellent. Very responsive to questions. Property was as described. Great location, easy access to main road, but very quiet. Plenty of parking space. Great views.

The cabin and amenities were top notch. Beautiful cabin and scenery. But the road and driveway where we were supposed to park were iced over and we were not able to use the driveway to park. The walkway to the cabin was iced over and we had to chip a path through the ice to get to the cabin. It was very treacherous. We asked about the conditions before the trip and the host did not know the conditions. When told, he said the maid service might come put some salt down to help the situation but later said they were not going to come put some salt down. He did not know the condition of the roads or if they were drivable or not. I would have thought a premium host would know the conditions of the area they rent a cabin and if they needed to cancel or postpone someone’s trip because of the dangerous conditions. The cabin was wonderful but the host not so much. Also on the top floor, when the wind is blowing, there is a very loud noise I am assuming coming from the wind blowing against the doors- so loud, it is impossible to sleep on the futon bed.

The host is a super host! So easy to work with, very considerate of my time and trying to work with my schedule getting everyone in. Quick to respond, answered questions. My family from Atlanta wanted to stay in a beautiful cabin with a wonderful view of the mountains. This cabin doesn’t disappoint! Whether we were relaxing in the hot tub, or sipping wine on the deck, the view was breathtaking! Coffee in the morning with the view was amazing! The cabln was very clean, well maintained, and stocked with everything that we needed. Thanks Sean, we appreciate your hospitality and will be returning to your beautiful cabin.

Such a cozy house with the most amazing mountain views! This home was perfect for our long weekend with friends. We enjoyed walking around the lovely wooded neighborhood, too. We'll definitely stay here again!

Loved the cabin. Fire pit had no comfortable chairs as advertised.

Hot tub worked well once the heat got going, but it took awhile for it to get hot on the first night. Rooms were clean overall, though none of the kids wanted to use the downstairs room due to a strong odor. Communication with the host was good throughout. Didn't realize that Lake Lure was undergoing repairs from last year's Hurricane damage as that would've been helpful to know in the initial description.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was nice and clean, the decor was so fun and cozy. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities. Loved having three different decks with beautiful views, and the hot tub was icing on the cake. Even though the house is not on the lake, it's very close and also close to Ingles grocery store and to Chimney Rock. Also, the owner was always quick to respond to our questions before our stay. We had no need to contact them during our stay because everything was great. We would absolutely stay here again!!!!

We had a really wonderful stay at TREETOP HOUSE! The views of the mountain from the main and upper porch are amazing! The home is very clean and inviting with all the comforts of home. The location is perfect for Lake Lure and Chimney Rock spots and easy access to other small quaint towns.Sean is a great communicator and a very gracious and generous host. He stay in contact without us to make sure we had everything we needed. His place is great for rest, re-charging and relaxing or a great place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing! We highly recommend Sean and his home for your rip to Lake Lure, NC.

The property was perfect. We were looking for a place to get away from kids and adulting for the weekend. Three floors, a floor for each couple. And, plenty of common area for games, TV or morning coffee on any of the 3 balconies. Highly recommend this place and next time we might even bring the kids.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. The location was great, the house was well-maintained and clean, and the communication with the homeowners was quick and friendly. Great overall experience!!

We just got home from a great weekend vacation at this house. Sean was super communicative and helpful. The house was super clean and cozy. And the views are so beautiful, including from the hot tub! We are grateful that we came across this great property and a wonderful host in Sean!

The views from the balcony were unbelievable. The area is nice and quiet with plenty of privacy.However the moment you walk into the cabin you are met with an overwhelming stench of cat urine. We later saw a cat door in the garage, so I suspect stray cats did their business in the garage. Some of the air vents lead to the garage, which allowed the smell to propagate throughout the house. Most dishware was dirty, so rewashing anything you didn't bring is a must. And finally, all three balconies were overwhelmed with carpenter bees for the duration of our stay. The views were nice for a few minutes at a time until we were forced back inside to the smell of cat urine.Had I known about the smell and bees, I would have happily chosen literally anywhere else.

The 5 night stay was very relaxing for all 4 of us. The many amenities made it a joy for each of us ranging in age from 7-49. The views are AMAZING.

Sean was great and quick to respond to questions. Listing was very accurate. We were happy to support the local restaurants still open after the hurricane. Great house and wonderful long weekend.

This cabin was really nice, very well stocked with everything. I would say its one of the best weve stayed in and we rent VRBOs quite frequently. The views were beautiful and the attractions were all close by. Beautiful area for a vacation. The host were very communicative. I was very happy with the cleanliness of this home. We had a wonderful time enjoying the mountain views outside the deck of the property and cruising in the boat at lake lure. Would highly recommend.

The house is ideally located up the hill from Lake Lure beach and Washburn Marina, just a few minutes away from Chimney Rock State Park entrance. Also close by a large grocery store and several restaurants. The large back decks (three!) all had gorgeous views of Rumbling Bald. The billiard table and hot tub made for lots of fun times! Communication with the homeowner was excellent - great at sharing information, and responsive when I had a question. We rented the owner's pontoon boat for a day on the lake and highly recommend that: the boat is in excellent condition, easy to operate, and was a great way to spend the day. The house was amply supplied with consumables (paper towels, dishwasher tablets, etc.) and the interior very clean on arrival. The exterior areas had to be cleared of bug droppings and spider webs - but mosquitos were never an issue when we sat out in the evenings. One oddity to be aware of: the master bedroom on the main level shared that floor with the kitchen, dining area, and a sitting area but has a translucent pocket door: any early to bed types should be aware that light/sound comes into that room (and maybe opt to take the basement room, which was isolated from shared areas and had its own deck).
