The house, the location, the amenities were just what we needed. For those wondering about what's in the kitchen, they have a drip coffee maker - keurig machine in one. We didn't use the keurig machine, only the drip coffee maker. There were more than enough coffee filters. You just need to bring your own coffee grounds. Trash bags, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, liquid hand soap in the toilets, toilet paper, a roll of paper tower for the kitchen were provided. You just need to supply your own shampoo & bath soap. There were interesting books available to read if you wanted to do that. You'd have to bring your own board games though if that's your jam. The stove, oven, and outdoor grill worked well.Thank you John!

Beautiful cabin with a spacious living area and nice decor. Good lighting inside and out for security, and comfortable furniture. AsOther mentioned, there is road noise, but we visited when there were no leaves on the trees and that’s kind of the trade off you get when you want something convenient to Boone and App State. Other than a few wear and tear issues, I give it four stars because it lacked the conveniences and attention to detail that makes an experience excellent.For example- a sugar bowl and salt and pepper shakers displayed, but empty. A large closet to hang clothes with only three wire dry-cleaning hangers and nothing else. A Keurig with no coffee pods for guests. A limit on how much trash you may have without a monetary fine and no way to recycle. I know that these are not deal breakers. We took recycling to campus, bought our own coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, didn’t hang our clothes, and stayed on top of how much trash we put in the can. That said, those types of details are what makes something a truly excellent five star experience that makes you feel like a valued guest versus the feeling you are just another renter.

The cabin was very comfortable and perfect for our stay. We really liked the yard and views and had fun playing in the snow. The inside is lovely with plenty of space for our family of four. Great location for exploring the trail in the NC high country. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. The driveway is quite steep so be aware in the winter, however it’s well maintained and we had no trouble getting up and down. Beds are very comfortable.

The property is well maintained. It’s really cozy and charm. The perfect get away plan with the family. The driveway to the cabin is a bit hard and in winter it get icy. Other than that 100% recommended

The property itself is secluded, cozy, and well appointed.

The water not getting warm but for a minute or two was very upsetting. We had to take quick showers or cold showers. Also the temperature downstairs never got above 64 degrees so we were very cold. To have some warmth upstairs we had to start the fire in the house but that did not help the downstairs where the majority of us slept. If we would have been informed about the water and pipe situation before coming we could have rescheduled our stay. A little disappointed that we were not told prior to and given that option.

Location was ideal, super cozy, very clean, kitchen was well equipped, and host was amazing at communicating before and during our stay.

Cleaner still there when we arrived. No mention of the steep & difficult Driveway to cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful & a 5 star building.

The cabin was very clean and tastefully decorated. The gas logs kept us cozy and warm. A 4 wheel drive is definitely needed if inclement weather is expected.

We loved the fireplace and the location! The beds were very comfortable. The home is very, very nice and close to Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone. It is so private and secluded, but there is alittle bit of road noise. Light sleeps, bring your noise machine.

We rented this cabin for our first annual Mother/Daughter weekend with our freshman App State Students. This cabin was beautiful, super convenient and close to everything in Boone! The space was perfect for us, open kitchen for cooking, living room up and downstairs for playing games and doing puzzles. Lots of sleeping room with comfortable beds. All in all this was exactly what we needed and wanted for our weekend. We definetley will book this cabin again!

Our family loved the cabin very spacious very clean it has all the amenities you need for a perfect family vacation. It’s in a prime location close to town but far enough out for privacy. I spoke to the property owner he was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that’s looking for nice cabin for a family vacation thank you Jason m

We truly enjoyed our stay in this private cozy cabin. It offers the best of both privacy and convenience to local shops and attractions. I would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time visiting our daughter. This property is beautiful. The owners paid alot of attention to decorating detail. It is very close to App campus. The beds are very comfortable. We all slept great. Check in wasn’t great. We drove 10 hours and weren’t permitted to check in 30 minutes early. Also, the driveway is very tricky. Narrow and difficult visability. Just be prepared . We did get used to it. All in all would highly recommend as long as you are comfortable with the driveway. Beautiful property.

The cabin was perfect!!!

We all enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin, it was very close to restaurants and ski resorts and at the same time secluded. The perfect getaway for a family coming from Florida with kids.

Myself and a small group of App State Alums used this space for a weekend football game. Check in and check out was very easy, the beds were comfortable, the space was clean, and the cabin was so cozy and warm! We enjoyed the beautiful views and easy access to downtown Boone. We will definitely book again if we're in the area! Thank you!

Great place has space enough for 8, maybe 9. Great detail by each light switch inside and out and fan and fireplace! Made it very easy to navigate and very nice heating! Floor heating which was awesome!! Loved the place!!
