Stayed Apr 4, 2026Amazing view and very nice house. Location is a bit out of town but that just makes it accessible to multiple areas and great for outdoor adventures in area. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay again if we revisit this area. Hot tub is great and kitchen is well equipped. Great spot for family and friends.

Stayed Feb 5, 2026This rental was amazing, simply put. Pictures of the view don’t do it justice and the inside has a ‘hallmark’ vibe; warm and inviting. Proximity to surrounding cities was perfect and might be the hidden secret to this home. Allowed us to visit Franklin, Bryson City, and Cherokee without feeling it was unnecessarily out of the way. Our host was fantastic and extremely communicative, ensuring our stay was perfect. We would stay again and again!

Stayed Jan 22, 2026Unfortunately Winter Storm Fern caused issues with our stay & we had to leave early. However, the hosts we very supportive and communicative. The residents was lovely and I would return in the future - weather permitting ;) We did venture into Franklin and enjoyed strolling around Main Street. Note to those brining a dog - there is not a ton of walking spaces near the house except the road - so be aware. My dog loved it but I wanted to make sure I was careful and considerate of curbing her business.

Stayed Oct 31, 2025Super comfortable mountain abode. Easy access and close to Franklin and 1hr to Highlands. Incredible views for the fall season. Beds are very comfortable, the towels are lux and the provided toiletries are a nice touch. The kitchen is extremely well appointed. The hot tub is cozy and offers an outstanding view of the mountains. The fireplace is nicely situated (if you want a fire take long burning pressed fire logs). Highly recommended and plan on staying here again.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025A lovely home with the most incredible breathtaking views of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountain range, where peace and beauty endlessly surrounds you. The home is well equipped with most anything one would need. The write up is accurate. The home is easy to get to and is well situated between Franklin and Bryson city N.C. The homeowner did a fabulous job with communication when needed. Bravo Lorin!

Stayed Aug 30, 2025Very clean house. Beautiful views. Good quality stocked toiletries and towels. Little awkward parking for standard vehicles but manageable. Little far out from towns so keep that in mind that your at least 20-30 mins travel times. AC was a little tricky. Tend to just turn off or increase temp which was frustrating since the windows are South West facing and can get a little warm. Otherwise we had a terrific time exploring nearby towns. Imagine the views are breathtaking when the leaves change.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025Everything was great. The view is spectacular. The driveway might be tricky for a vehicle with very low clearance. The Internet was somewhat slow and not suitable for streaming. The AC was very quick to cool down the home. There are many things to do nearby, including UTVing, jet skiing, gem mining, river tubing, breweries, hiking, waterfalls and more

Stayed Apr 23, 2025We were fortunate to have picked this location to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It's an amazing location, and the house itself is beautiful! We spent most of our time either on the porch watching birds and sunsets or hiking nearby trails in Nantahala NF. Our host went out of his way to accommodate us and to make sure we had everything that we needed. When the refrigerator died, he had a new one ordered and installed almost right away. I was extremely impressed with his kindness and attentiveness. We really hope to come back again soon!

Stayed Mar 27, 2025The views at this cabin are beautiful however it is a bit of a drive to get to town so plan accordingly. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We golfed in Whittier at Smokey Mountain Country Club, took the train ride to the gorge. We had a wonderful meal at Lucio’s Italian Restaurant in Franklin, check their website for hours as they were only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5-8 during our stay.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025This is my third stay at this amazing cabin and it is exactly as I remember it. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning panoramic views—truly a sight to wake up to each morning. The home itself is beautifully designed, with a warm and cozy feel that perfectly complements the natural surroundings. One of the highlights was the kitchen—it was not only spacious and well-equipped but also a dream to cook in. Whether we were preparing a quick breakfast before heading out to explore or enjoying a relaxing dinner in, it had everything we needed and more. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure our stay was seamless. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made a difference. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking scenery and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Stayed Mar 16, 2025The cabin is perfect. We had an amazing getaway there! Outside of Franklin but not too far. We went North to Carson City one day then South to Highlands another. When we weren't hiking to all the waterfalls in the area, we were relaxing at the cabin and enjoying the hot tub. We can't wait to go back!

Stayed Sep 26, 2024We happened to stay here when Helene hit NC. The area around the house was fine and only got some rain and light wind. We even ventured down to the NOC and everything seemed fine. The next morning we were awakened by the land line ringing (we typically ignore this at rentals). It was the owner calling to check in on us as the surrounding roads were being closed due to damage from the flooding. He had checked with neighbors and conditions were getting bad everywhere. He let us know of a route that would get us back home via the back mountain passes. We decided it was a good time to make a break for it. We are so glad we did as the area is completely closed off now due to road damage etc. We are grateful for the homeowner checking in on us. We would 10/10 recommend this rental for anyone looking for a nice get away in the mountains. The views are amazing and the homeowner goes above and beyond to take care of the guests. We'll definitely be back.

Stayed Sep 9, 2024Truly one of the best rental houses we have ever stayed in. Amazing view, extremely well-appointed for visitors’ comfort, great kitchen, bedrooms, baths and living areas - and wonderful outdoor spaces. Probably one of the best mountain cabins in North Carolina. A perfect Smoky Mountains retreat!

Stayed Jul 13, 2024You don't need to look any further- just book it! My family had a fantastic week at this gorgeous mountain house- it could not have been more perfect. It served as a home base for our many adventures and was a peaceful place to relax. The first thing to mention are the stunning views from everywhere in the house and deck. You have truly unbeatable panoramic mountain views and sunrises and sunsets. The house itself has a great layout for a family or two with ample space and bathroom space. Our kids loved reading and playing video games in the little nook upstairs on the trundle bed. The apartment downstairs could easily add another family- and while we didn't use it- it looked lovely. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we could have needed to make our meals. The drive up to the house is very step- but if you are in this area you likely already know to anticipate this. There are incredible hikes that are easy to get to from the house and the owners recommended places to check out. We loved Wesser Bald and the Silar Bald Loop. One of our favorite features of being in this house was the stunning river right down the hill. If you drive across the bridge at the bottom of the hill, there are many spots to park and set up on the river, the scenery is beautiful, and it's easy to get out on the river for tubing, swimming, and fishing. We loved staying at this house and highly recommend it!
