Stayed Feb 18, 2022We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The kids loved the bunk bed nook because it felt like a secret space. The cabin was plenty warm using the wall heaters alone, so we didn't need the stove. There was an issue with the hot tub so the water was too cold to use it. Luckily, the bathtub was a larger-sized deep soaking tub, so we just pretended it was a hot tub! The heated towel warmer is a nice touch. The Southend Grocery and Restaurant down the road was a well-stocked small grocery store with good lunch and coffee, plus DVDs available for purchase to watch in the cabin.

Stayed Sep 13, 2021So much to like about this property! First, Ingrid was warm, welcoming, and responsive. The location is wonderful - right near the fantastic south end market and the wonderful hike out to iceberg point. The kitchen is well-equipped (whipped together a dinner with ease the night we got there). Cozy indoors - great outdoor sitting for relaxing. We didn't use the hot tub, so I can't speak to that.

Stayed Jun 15, 2019We gad a great tune at this cabin. Situated on the other side of the island from the ferry dock it is located on a couple acres of grass land. It was very quite and the cabin was quite nice and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and there are nice decks and a bbq. The cabin has a partially walled off master bed and an area with 4 bunk beds. Note that the bunk beds are weight registered for 130# on top and 180# on the bottom so may not work for two couples. All in all a nice place that we would come to again if we are going to Lopez.

Stayed Feb 13, 2026We love this cabin. It is always such an inviting and comfortable place to spend a peaceful weekend on Lopez. The hot tub was amazing. All needed amenities were provided. Ingrid is always responsive if we have any questions. We were able to relax and enjoy and loved every minute of it.

Stayed Sep 10, 2025Nice cabin in a quiet meadow. Beware there is no internet on the island ! Be sure to download driving direcyions and code for lock box prior to your trip. Onlyb phone calls we could make ( with Verizon) were emergency only. We also could never get the tv or dvd player to work.

Stayed Jun 22, 2025We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin, the lovely view from the deck, and the relaxing hot tub. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and Ingrid was easy to communicate with. They are in the process of building addition to the cabin, but no construction work was done during our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful the whole time.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025The cabin itself was very nice and had everything the listing said. The living space is all open, including the sleeping areas, but as I was alone it was great for me. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. The view from the deck is beautiful. The main problem: there is construction of a house adjacent to the rental - literally attached &15 or so feet from bedroom/hottub. This information isn't mentioned & doesn't really show in the photos - the last one of the hottub has a tiny portion you can see. The main sleeping area has french doors opening to the hot tub - which is right next to the worksite. No privacy when crew is there. My weekend was fine, but Monday & Tuesday morning the workers arrived at 7:30am and were there til late afternoon. They were courteous and respectful, but the noise and lack of privacy made a huge difference for my stay. If I would have known, I would not have booked a stay there at this time. It looks to me as if the project will continue on through the summer and beyond. Please encourage the owner to let potential renters know about this situation.

Stayed May 9, 2025I was so excited for my stay and it started out great: Ingrid allowed me to check in an hour early. I realized I couldn’t find the hot tub control panel so I sent another message to Ingrid. I then started to notice how the place wasn’t clean. The remote was coated in filth and there were wrappers in the kitchen. I decided I didn’t even want to use the dirty (assuming) hot tub but wanted the option. I sent another message to Ingrid and never heard back. Like ever. I’m home now and still haven’t heard back from the hosts. Super disappointing for over 750 for two nights (250 being a cleaning fee).

Stayed Feb 14, 2025This is our fifth stay at the cabin, which I think speaks for itself. We love this property. Hot tub is welcoming, kitchen is equipped for some cooking, and the towel warmers and heated floors in the bathroom are so nice this time of year. Perfect weekend watching bald eagles fly by from the hot tub, watching movies, reading while listening to the rain and venturing into the village.

Stayed Aug 21, 2024It was an okay property, here are the details... The check-in notes stated that we could check-in early if the property appeared to be cleaned and ready, so we arrived about 20 minutes early. The property hadn't been fully cleaned yet and the cleaner showed up about 10 minutes later and did a reasonable job at trying to finish the cleaning - apparently the original cleaner quit cleaning halfway through (ill?). Not a big deal...but we ended up doing a bit of the cleaning ourselves (dishes). Next....they are building another building immediately adjacent to the rental house (like 8-10 feet away) and at 11am the following morning a big cement truck and a 4-5 person construction crew arrived and poured foundations for 3 hours... loud, dusty, invasive...definitely not a quiet get away....we were surprised by this whole crew showing up, using the house hose and essentially being all over the property that we thought we had rented....not cool. Last...the rental is essentially a large room with only the bathroom being a separate room. The dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer are all in the same room as the living space and they are very loud appliances....too loud to sleep through and you have to turn up the volume on the TV....so....if you stay here, plan accordingly.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024This was a great spot for a long weekend with a friend on Lopez. It was my first time in the San Juans and I can't wait to get back. Ingrid's cabin is the sweetest, cozy space. It was such a nice place to retreat in the evenings or when the rains came in. The hot tub on the deck was such a treat! As the description suggests and other reviewers have commented, there are not separate rooms. There is an area with 2 bunk beds (4 beds total) separated by a wall (but not closed off) from a queen bed. This could impact privacy needs for some but for us it was a non-issue. It looks like they're adding on some additional buildings to the property so perhaps that'll serve large groups? Communicating with Ingrid was quick and easy, she was so lovely in answering all our questions and giving us some local recommendations. 10/10 -- hope to stay here again on my next visit!
