LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN CLEAN & COZY CABIN/ GREAT VIEWS /HOT TUB, HIKING, PET FRIENDLY

The cabin has a beautiful view, cozy and private. We had a couple hiccups but the host took care of them and was very accommodating. We would like to visit again.

The cabin was everything that was depicted. It was comfortable and we felt very much at home there during our stay. The property was peaceful, private and enviting. The views from the back patio were very impressive of the valley below and the mountains for many miles. We also met a few of the very friendly neighbors while out walking. A great getaway yet close to many activities that we were able to experience in the area.

Yes. Everything was great! This cottage is priced SO reasonably. The area is amazing. The cottage is well equipped for staying in and just enjoying the peace and quiet and the view. The space is perfect for one couple or two. We highly recommend it!

Our Thanksgiving stay at Buzzards Roost was fantastic! The cabin is just as pictured but the pictures don’t really do it justice. It is lovely and shows Jane’s personal touches everywhere. It is very well stocked, even for thanksgiving baking! The views are amazing as is the property. Jane is great communicator and will quickly respond to any need that you might have. We would love to stay again. Thanks Jane!

The cabin is perfect for a getaway! The views are fantastic, the hot tub is magical, the cabin is cozy, comfortable, cutely decorated, and fully stocked. Plus, it's close to Cloudland Canyon. In addition, the host let me shift a day due to very bad weather. I highly recommend.

Very clean and quiet. The view from the back deck was amazing watching the sun rise over the valley. I had a wonderful peaceful sleep out there. Cloudland Canyon hike was beautiful and only a few miles down the road.

We travel a lot and stay at many short-term rentals. This is my favorite place so far. We stayed for the 2nd time recently. The view is amazing from the deck and/or hot tub. Everywhere I looked outside there was another conversation area.Inside there are games, books, magazines, TV with Roku and a complete kitchen. The cabin is spotless and the host is accessible. I can't wait to go back!

The view out the back of the cabin or off the back porch was spectacular. The cabin was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We came to the area for hiking and there are many miles of trails within 10 minutes. We hiked at Cloudland Canyon State Park, the Ascalon trails, and the Zahnd tract — all of these were great. We also found plenty of good restaurants nearby. We would definitely go back.

The location is nice. However, the property itself is dated. The owner had left the a/c off and it was 81 degrees inside when I got there. She wanted to interrupt my vacation to install a new hot tub. The biggest issue was that I told you I wanted to cancel my stay and get a refund because I found other arrangements and she refused to give me a refund even though I never stayed there.

We are semi retired and love the mountains and nature trails. Buzzards Roost gave us everything we needed for a grand vacation. The cottage is super cute and incredibly decorated, and immaculate! What a find! The mountain views from the deck and the cute side yard are stunning. We saw a rainbow 3 days in a row from the top deck, this cottage is truly our pot of gold. We plan to return and we HIGHLY recommend The Buzzards Roost, what a gem!

The cabin was very clean and homey! We very much so enjoyed staying here. Gail was a great host and fast in responding 100% would recommend this cabin if you are looking for a beautiful view for a getaway!

Stayed at the cottage for the gorgeous porch view and close access to Cloudland Canyon park. Enjoyed all the hiking and visited the McLemore lodge for dinner. Great location!

The photos need to be updated. The photo of the swing on the brow shows a new swing. The actual swing is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The flooring and other upgrades have taken place since the original photos. The main downstairs bathroom had a new sink basin installed but the actual sink spout should have been longer to prevent water running behind the bowl. The hot tub is actually not working properly by cutting off prematurely with also the temperature setting was way off. Can you say mold under the cover after lifting it? The contract sent by PDF file also needs to be updated concerning the pet policy. On the agreement it says 25 when actually the site says 75. The property owners aren't to blame but at 8:00 on a Sunday morning there was a chainsaw and construction going on less than 100 ft from the side of the cabin in a newer home. This also created a privacy issue on the one and only time we tried to use the faulty hot tub. Lattice or other means of privacy may need to be considered. All three days of our stay, there was activity right beside the cabin. No fault of the property owners. Overall it was a nice getaway but I believe all property photos, descriptions and policies should be kept current.

Amazing location. Beautidul cottage! Convenient to multiple tourist locations. Hot tub was amazing, especially after hiking Cloudland Canyon. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I have experienced many short-term rentals, as our children live all over the globe. As we left Buzzards Roost this morning, we agreed, this is the best place we ever stayed at, with the most involved and helpful host. We loved our short getaway and plan to return soon and often.

We had a great stay in this mountain cabin retreat with a beautiful view. Pretty ideal location to enjoy nature - just 5 minutes from one of the best state parks around - but not too far away to experience the city of Chattanooga and all it has to offer. Really nice balance of the two.

Had a great trip up for a little weekend away from Atlanta. The hot tub and views from the cabin are an outstanding way to relax!

Very nice place. Very clean. Great View from the deck. Easy road access. Although it has room for only one vehicle unless you park on the looped driveway. There is one turn between two trees that would be very tight for a large vehicle.It was a little difficult to find the key where it was placed. The directions were clear but I misinterpretted the location of where they were.There are several steps to go up to the cabin. watch the first rock that leads to the stairs. it wobbles a little. the rock placed under it had slid out so i replaced it and it was fine then.There were plenty of towels for use with the hot tub. The hot tub was great and offered a fantastic view. The house next door is a little close but there are trees to somewhat block the view of the hot tub from the neighbor. So if you are shy ....LOL..If travelling with another couple (we were not) note that the main bedroom IS a loft and open to the downstairs. It offers a wonderful view of the sunrise and you can see forever across the valley through the huge windows.The kitchen is small and tight but very usable with all utensils supplied.Overall, it was great place to visit. It had a few quirks but they were not near enough to outweigh the benefits. The owner was easy to contact and pleasurable to speak with.

We enjoyed our stay during the Christmas Holiday. Everything was perfect and as pictured. We did have a rather LARGE vehicle (3500 HD) which made the driveway curves tedious to navigate but not impossible. Next time we will bring a smaller vehicle.

The downstairs bedroom was a bit too cozy. I suggest replacing one of the straight chairs with another glider for more comfortable seating. Great aminities and very clean.

Lookout Mountain/Buzzards Roost is AMAZING! So beautiful and peaceful surrounded by stunning views. Sunrise off the deck was GORGEOUS as well as the stars at night ❤️ We had a great time in this warm & cozy place and loved we could bring our pooch along. We dressed up as Hippies for Halloween and were lucky enough to find a Hippie book amongst all the other fantastic books here❤️We hope to return sometime soon. Gail is a wonderful host. Thank you for sharing.

Cozy old fashioned mountain cabin, with STUNNING views of the valley. All the expected household conveniences, and only a 10 min drive to Cloudland Canyon Park. Only missing a firepit for evening conversation, and comfortable porch seating to sit and enjoy the views..

Beautiful mountain home with a spectacular view. Cozy and in close proximity to plenty of north ga activities. Didn’t get to golf due to rain but a spent that time on the back deck enjoying the view and the hot tub!

Everything was perfect! Everything was as described. All things needed were there and instructions on how to find places, food and now! She even left us an anniversary card and prayed the rain would be gone, to which it was. God is good, bless you and your sweet family!!!
