Amazing. The perfect location for a getaway with friends old and new. Beautiful property with great amenities. We particularly enjoyed the home theater, game room, and preparing group meals in the well appointed kitchen. Will be returning!

It was our second time staying here and we absolutely love the Grand Lodge! The attention to detail is unmatched. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the host is very responsive when we needed help.

This home surpassed all of our expectations. The hosts and the property manager were so helpful and welcoming. The house looks exactly like the pictures, but somehow even better in person! The personal touches in the home and the stunning decorations made our Christmas so special.We loved all the gas fireplaces and the movie theatre was a huge hit. It had everything we needed and more — spacious, beautifully maintained, and set right by the river with breathtaking views. There was plenty to do both inside and outside the house, making it enjoyable for all ages. The hosts were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond, truly exceeding our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special time. Highly recommend!

If there’s an award for Best Host Barbara Knapp would win hands down.We celebrated our 50 th wedding anniversary 2 years ago at the Grand, so when our son announced that he was getting married we immediately contacted Barb and booked the Grand..Our friends who attended were in awe of the beauty and details to the decor of the home and the details to the landscape and areas around the home.The addition of the coffee bar since our last stay just added more ambiance and charm to the kitchen area. A coffee lovers paradise.The photographers were overwhelmed with the abundance of beautiful background photo opportunities. They didn’t want to leave.Brochure pictures don’t do justice to the beauty and elegance of the interior of the home. This place exceeded expectations and that is coming from 16 people unanimously! Absolutely fantastic. Immaculately appointed and the pictures fail to do it justice. It was like a National Park Lodge meets a 5 star hotel, all to ourselves!There are tons of spots to spread out and enjoy as well as incredible gathering places, indoor and out. Five star experience all around.

A gem of a property! Barb was quick on communication and the photos don't do the property justice. It's the absolute perfect location for a family gathering with plenty of space and truly no details left out. You'll find everything you need and barely a need to leave the property during your stay.

Absolutely beautiful, fully fully fully equipped with everything you need. The home was well furnished with comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of get away spots to visit or read.The grounds were stunning! Green grass and glorious planters. Lots of indoor and outdoor places to eat.We loved it.

There really are words to describe how amazing this experience was. We had the best family vacation we have ever had. The house is magic, with enough space for everyone, but still feeling cozy and connected. The river view and private beach were perfection. From the smallest of details, they think of everything to make it comfortable. We already booked our next visit!

Our family vacations at this lodge every year for a while now.....we LOVE it!! Fabulous first class property, all in our group of 9 had a great and relaxing time, celebrating a 103rd birthday in our group. Sitting on the deck overlooking the river will be a favorite memory. The movie room was also a great spot for relaxing!

This is a gorgeous property on the Wenatchee River. There are green lawns, trees, and flowers everywhere. It’s a wonderful place to settle in, relax, and enjoy being close to nature while enjoying all the comforts the lodge provides.

The Grand River Lodge is simply an exquisite property; Shangri-La on the Wenatchee River just downstream from Leavenworth. We have visited many times, and will again every year. Our grandkids will remember the experiences all their lives.

We just had the most incredible stay at The Grand River Lodge to celebrate our parents’ 50th Anniversary. Typically, you see great pictures of the home, only to get there in-person to find it’s nowhere near a nice as the photos depict. Well, this is not the case here. There simply are not enough words to say how beautiful this property is. The home itself is spectacular in every way, richly furnished and thoughtfully appointed! We really appreciated Barb’s attention to all of the smallest details - it’s safe to say, “if you want or need it, it’s there somewhere!” The grounds are immaculate over the entire property with so many fun spots to sit and have conversations, and the Knapps provide all of the outdoor games you could ever want to entertain guests of all ages, even a Single Hole, Par 3 Course (which my Dad loved!) The kitchen is incredible, fully-stocked with literally every utensil/appliance you might ever possibly need, as well as an awesome bar in the game room complete with a Kegerator, wine fridge and even its own small dishwasher! I really could go on and on for an hour about the bedrooms, theatre room and everything else, but you’ll just have to go see for yourself. Our very favorite spot was the back River deck listening to the Wenatchee River! If you’re looking for a beautiful home to make some amazing memories, this is the place! From our three-year-old twins to the 68-year-old grandparents, all sixteen of our family were smiling our entire week at the Grand River Lodge. The 9000 sq. ft. lodge was unparalleled in our experience, hands down no contest. It felt like we had our own, private national park lodge just to ourselves. The grounds were private, stunning and expansive with an orchard next door and the Wanatchee River right off the back deck. Barb, the proprietor, exceeded all other short-term rental owners/managers we've ever experienced in generosity and responsiveness. It's hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe our stay at this VRBO. We've already planned our return trip.

Barbara has the most sophisticated taste in everything that I have seen in all the places that we have been. She seems to add new touches every year, so it must be a part of a person that likes to elevate the beautiful that should be in all of us. When you add the location ,the river, the pear farm next door, the town and the property itself it is an unbeatable place. Thank you

We gathered here to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday party. The pictures do not come close to being able to imagine how wonderful this property is. Everywhere you looked, there was something even more special. It’s also close to town, but we rarely wanted to leave the place, only wished we could have stayed longer!

For a college graduation gift, we took our three adult children and their significant others to this unbelievable log cabin. Our kids had so much fun playing golf in the front while we were not in beautiful downtown Leavenworth. We were deciding between this property and a beautiful home in Turks and Caicos. As a family half wanted to go to the beach and half wanted to go to Leavenworth. Everyone was so happy that we chose Leavenworth over the beach. . They went horseback riding, boating and e-biking. My husband and I sat on that back deck with the heat lamps listening to the sound of that wonderful river. The house has everything a person could possibly want. We had billiards tournaments in the game room. We watched movies up in the movie room. Everyone had their own beautiful room and bathroom. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this property. And Dorla the neighborhood was the sweetest person ever. She helped us with groceries prior to checking in. She gave a wonderful tour of the property upon check-in. Just all out 5 stars. Sorry to keep saying the word wonderful and beautiful, but that is just how incredible this house was!

This is a stunningly beautiful home. The owners have exquisite taste -- every feature of their property is gorgeous, inside and out. The attention to detail is utterly fantastic. The kitchen is stocked with absolutely everything you will need, the bedrooms are luxurious, the bathrooms are pristine. But it also feels cozy, warm, like you're being embraced in a family home. Every member of our group adored the place, it was the favorite topic of conversation for the three days we were there! We loved it so much. Thank you for creating such a beautiful haven for all of us to enjoy.

To sum up this place in words is simply impossible. It’s so much more than the written language could possible express. You can feel God’s presence in this place from the moment you arrive. We came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and to renew our vows in faith, as we weren’t previously married in faith but simply by law. How I came across the location was our first “God Wink” as the Hostess Barbra would say. To be completely honest… our entire trip was one that you can’t come about unless to say it was blessed! And for so many reasons. Our children has the most magical time exploring this wonderland and so did the parents! We CAN’T WAIT to come back. There are no photos to do this location justice! And the Hostess is simply put an ANGEL on earth.

As we have stayed at this beautiful property numerous times in the past, we can't say enough how unique the home is and how easy it is to work with the owners. We have rented large homes for family reunions many times around the US, but this is the best one we have done, in terms of enjoyment, house appointments, cleanliness, hospitality, location, value, and interacting with the owners. The bedrooms are very large as are the living room, billiards room, kitchen, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

Our whole group was stunned when we pulled into the property. The photos do not do the home justice. This was the best VRBO experience I have ever had. The home was absolutely gorgeous and was extremely accommodating.

Repeat customers, just as fantastic as I remembered. No need to go into town, the house has all the entertainment needed. Super convenient location, 2-5 minutes from downtown Leavenworth. Not another place like it!

This is an amazing winter getaway

The Lodge is absolutely wonderful! Every space is comfortable and beautifully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. The space accommodates areas for gathering as well as quiet time. The heated porch was a favorite spot for morning coffee and watching eagles soar along the river. Communications with Barb were very timely, kind and gracious. This is truly a magical place and our families favorite winter retreat.

Our stay at this incredible lodge for my 50th birthday weekend was nothing short of perfect. The entire property was beautifully decked out in high-end Christmas décor, with each bedroom featuring its own tree and festive touches throughout. The grand entrance, outdoor lights, and illuminated polar bear made it feel like a winter wonderland.It snowed our first night, and we were amazed to find a crew had already shoveled the walks and plowed the driveway. Despite the snow, we enjoyed the outdoor spaces thanks to the heaters, making it our favorite spot for morning coffee—provided for us, along with everything else we could possibly need. From s'mores fixings to cookware, barware, hand warmers, toiletries, and more, we didn’t have to bring a thing.The hot tub in the snow was truly magical. This lodge is perfect for impressing guests—it’s close to town yet offers the privacy and serenity you want. We’re already planning a return trip in the summer. If I could give it more than five stars, I’d give it a 10!

Most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed!

Right from the start, the communication was simple and pleasant. The responses were fast and kind. When we arrived, we were blown away. Every single inch of this home is impressive, luxurious, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen, bar, and rec room are accommodating for the entire group to hang out. The back deck that overlooked the river was our favorite… it was heated and cozy, and SO peaceful. We will definitely visit again.

Our favorite tradition to kickoff the holidays with friends and family

A surprise party for my parents 58th wedding anniversary and my Dad's 80th. The property is beyond stunning. Aunts played Yahtzee, we cooked a prime rib dinner, watched football, went in the hot tub, went to town for October fest. Safeway is about a mile down the road. It is difficult to find the words to describe this beautiful home in the most beautiful setting. This home has everything you would ever need. This was a very special place. Our extended family of 13 had a wonderful stay. There were so many activities for everyone to enjoy. The lodge is so beautiful and the location is stunning.

Wonderful lodge for our group for annual management meeting. The attributes of the property are too many to mention and all are first class and beautifully maintained. Common rooms are awesome. You could be at a resort in Aspen or Dear Valley Kitchen has everything We hope to come back n cut year

Absolutely no place could have topped the Grand River Lodge for our 60th wedding celebration. With eight bedrooms it was a perfect fit for all of our family ages 8 to 80. With nonstop options for activities from golf to pool, hot tub to river front, volleyball to badminton, the week seemed way too short. Endless nooks and crannies accommodated those that took a break to catch up on a good book. The well stocked kitchen wanted for nothing and the elegant decorating topped any place we've ever stayed. We can't thank you enough for an unbelievable week of memories!

Beautiful house on the Wenatchee river, wonderfully equipped for large groups. We loved all the little details that the hosts include with the stay. Our biggest regret was that we didn't have more time to take advantage of all the amenities offered with this property (like the full wet bar, or catering kitchen). The house is even more amazing in person than the pictures make it out to be. If I need a place for a large group in Leavenworth again, I'll certainly book this property!

We are so grateful to God and Barbara and Dennis for providing this amazing family vacation. We had a ball in our own spacious, beautiful lodge on the Wenatchee River. Our 3 families ages 12-80, enjoyed watching floaters coming down the river, playing volleyball, basketball and golf outside to playing pool, board games and watching a movie in the theater room inside. Special time reading in the hammocks, on the beach and the deck. Cooking and baking Family meals and enjoying dining outside on the deck and inside. We look forward to a return visit! It was a fantastic family vacation and such a blessing to our family. Thank you again Barbara and Dennis for sharing a paradise on earth. A great place for a family gathering! Perfect for all ages.

We had an amazing week as a family enjoying the property, amenities and the surrounding area!

wonderful amenities, well appointed, superb quality, generous spaces. if I try to think of something that could be improved it would be a deeper portion of the river pool that is damned with rocks. It was very hot so it would have been nice to have a dipping area. Plus i think we infringed on 2 water snakes that were in the grass at the waters edge

Our son and his fiancé hiked into the mountains to be married at sunrise, and both families stayed here for four nights to celebrate their marriage. It is an amazing home, with so much to do! There were 13 of us, including a 9 and 14 year-old, and we golfed, rode bikes, played yard games, soaked in the river, soaked in the hot tub, sat in the many sitting places outside (we counted 41!), slept in hammocks, played pool, watched a movie, and really enjoyed our time. We all wished we would have stayed longer! We hired a chef to prepare our wedding celebration dinner and a more casual family dinner, and she had everything she needed in the well-stocked kitchen. The house has plenty of room for all of us, and sometimes the most difficult thing was to find someone! The communication with Barb was excellent, and she responded to my questions promptly as we planned our trip. This is an amazing home and I highly recommend it!

Spacious, well constructed home with amenities for all ages!! Our family reunion was celebrated onsite with room to spare!! We enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the River every morning, visiting and spotting birds and other wildlife. The Beach area was comfortable and calm enough to sit and play in. The putting and chipping on the front lawn were a hit with everyone, as was the pool table, hammocks etc… Plenty of gear to play with. The rooms were quiet, cool and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of dishware, serving pieces, silverware and glassware. We loved the location on the river, privacy and proximity to Downtown Leavenworth. We hope to be back soon!!
