Welcome to Eagles Peak!
Eagles Peak is a charming 3BR/2BA cabin near the shore of pristine Watauga Lake, a lakeside paradise nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hot tub on the spacious deck has sweeping views of the mountains and lake. There is a picnic table, rocking chairs, and a gas grill for an outdoor barbecue on the wraparound porch. Guests can bring their own equipment for water activities and will enjoy the convenience of having dock access with an Eagles Peak boat slip. Mallard Cove Marina, Fish Springs Marina, and Lakeshore Resort Marina offering boat rentals and more, are less than 30 minutes from Eagles Peak.
The main area is open and bright, with warm hardwood details and natural light pouring in from the wall of windows. The living room centers around a stone fireplace with gas logs. A large flat-screen TV, Alexa technology, and ample leather seating make it a cozy gathering place. A dining table for six is open to the well-stocked kitchen with labeled cabinets for ease of orienting yourself. Along with the standard pots and pans, the kitchen includes a crock pot, Keurig and drip pot coffee makers, and communal coffee pods and spices. (These items are for guests to use, restocked at intervals by the owner, and often supplemented by leftovers from happy guests). A foosball table in the main area provides fun family entertainment. There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a step stool for kids.
The master king bedroom on the main floor has a flat-screen TV. There is access from this bedroom to the porch and 180-degree views out over Watauga Lake. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms. One is a king bedroom with a flat-screen TV and a private balcony overlooking the lake. There is seating on the balcony, a perfect place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. The second bedroom is a bunk room with a twin-over-full bed and a large flat-screen TV with an Xbox game system. These rooms share a full bathroom with a kid's step stool and a combination tub and shower.
This home is pet-friendly and allows up to two dogs with a reservation. Standard pet fees will apply. There is a Blu-ray player in the house and USB charging ports thorough out the cabin. A whole-house generator will provide power even in an outage. The owners have provided a canoe for your enjoyment on the lake. There are multiple life vests in the cabin for your safety on the water. The paved driveway can accommodate up to 3-4 cars, and the access to the home is 5 steps up to the porch. There is boat and trailer parking at the bottom of the driveway for guests. Please do not park trailers at the top of the driveway. Additional public parking for boats and trailers is available on a first-come, first-served basis alongside the road near Dock B. This shared dock is accessed by the stairs from the road.
Adventures such as boating, swimming, water-skiing, fishing, tubing, and many others are outside the back door. Just a few minutes away is Watauga Lake Winery and Villa Nove Vineyard. All the wines are produced exclusively from fruit grown on the property. Other items of interest nearby include:

Nice cabin with amazing potential but needs lots of maintenance.
Absolutely amazing place with a beautiful home. In the mornings we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch and listened to the birds sing and the fish jumping in the lake. Nature's beauty. What a blessing for us to have had the opportunity to visit this great place. Definitely recommend.
Great location. Great weather. Great place.
The house is very nice and the views of lake and mountains are beautiful. Thank you for a lovely place.
This is a great home! The owners have put in nice touches that make the stay easy, including Echo Dots in every room, a Bluetooth speaker system, and a fabulous hot ton over looking the lake. The deck with the covered area that includes the picnic table was a favorite spot. The management company was very prompt with communication and very helpful. It was great that the home came with a canoe and life jackets. Made us want to buy a lake house! The one and only challenge were the very steep steps to the dock from the road, and that the staircase was not well maintained. It’s a shared dock and access so presumably not the responsibility of the owner. Nonetheless, we had many hours of fishing and swimming from the dock and the canoe. Thank you for our best vacation ever!!
We enjoyed staying the house was amazing and the boys loved the Xbox in the kids room. Just wish they had more game options. Loved the gates blocking entrances and exits. The hot tub was wonderful! The driveway is steep and the truck was unable to make the turn at the top in one pass. The B Dock was under water along with the bottom of the stairs so we were unable to get to it on the first day. The stairs to the dock are steep and feeling soft. I would suggest making the dock floating so it doesn’t matter if the water level is high. The dock does need maintenance. The lake had a lot of trash. The fishing was good and we appreciate having access to canoes.
The cabin is lovely and spacious with a perfect lake view! Very clean. The driveway is steep but my little hybrid made it up just fine! Everything in the kitchen is labeled and there are so many little extras in the kitchen. I would absolutely stay here again!
2nd day at location water turned dirty dirty brown...reported issue and they did respond however did NOT resolve problem...this water was NOT drinkable nor shower worthy...truly spoiled what was to that point a good time...will not return...
The cabin was beautiful, the driveway a bit of a challenge. Staying in spring wasn't that good of a idea because water levels were so high. Couldn't get on the dock. All in all beautiful quiet place
Very nice and clean lakefront home with awesome views. Would definitely stay again.
Just simply relaxing…a bit off the grid…quiet
The property was exactly as it was shown on the site and perfect for our weekend getaway. I wish we could have stayed longer. The location was great and out of the way. It was quiet and peaceful and very relaxing. No phone signal was available and was a concern for only a few minutes and we got used to the quiet right away ?. Having the internet and television did the trick for us. I highly recommend vrbo and this property!!!
We enjoyed our stay! It was very handy to have ways to keep pets on the deck. Great view and loved the grill and hot tub.
