Come and experience the magnificent magic of a waterfront cabin with your own dock right in the Western North Carolina's Smoky Mountains! The southern exposure will ensure bright warm sunny days and a beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings. The lake has numerous waterfalls and you can rent different watercraft at a marina nearby to explore the lake or enjoy different water sports.

Visit the traditional, quaint nearby towns of Highlands and Cashiers while staying on the lake. Lake Glenville at 3800 feet elevation has 26 miles of shoreline, is 4.5 miles long and over 1,460 acres is spring fed by 5 mountain streams. You can enjoy the refreshing 72 degree water while jet skiing, tubing, fishing and boating. The glistening shoreline of Lake Glenville has waterfalls, a Christmas tree farm, and beautiful picturesque homes.

This waterfront, A-frame vacation cabin has the master bedroom (with a extremely comfortable king size bed) and bath downstairs. Upstairs in the oversized loft are 2 twin beds and king bed and a full second private bath.

You can take your steaming, hot coffee outside in the screened-in porch to curl up with a good book or go out on the large, adjacent deck to enjoy the view. The cabin has a fireplace, wireless internet, Direct TV and all the amenities of home.

The dock will provide hours of entertainment. You can bring your own boat or rent one from the nearby marina and step right from your dock onto your boat. The are jet ski davits to hook up your jetski. We even provide two kayaks on the dock for your use.

Stayed over Thanksgiving break 2025. Best family trip ever! Cabin has everything you need. Hosts were gracious to have heat on when we arrived and firewood stocked. We took full advantage of the fireplace round the clock while we were there in 30 degree weather. Grabbed a great steak for the grill from Meat and Fish in Cashiers. Ate at Happ’s and The Local.Rode horses at Arrowmont. Hiked High Falls. Fished the dock- fished the public access from the cabin up to Tuckasegee. Cut down a Christmas tree at the farm across the road. Couldn’t have asked for better. Coffee drinkers: no filters necessary! Mesh filter in coffee maker. I recommend the Pisgah Roasters ground coffee you can find in town. Yes the steps are a lot but they didn’t stop us at all. We drove in a 4x4 diesel and the driveway pull in was tight- tip: go to the second driveway entrance and make a 2-3 point turn in.

The lake view was gorgeous. We just stayed the wrong time. The weather was too cold and windy to enjoy the time there. Just our luck it decided to snow while there. The lake looked amazing though.

Fortunate to be able to rent an original chalet style cabin directly on the lake with beach, floating dock and four kayaks !

The cabin was perfect for our father/son getaway. The boys enjoyed kayaking and swimming from the dock. The screened porch was a perfect place for all of our meals, especially eating dinner while watching the sunset. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed.

Pros: nice location with pretty views, especially at the pier. Kitchen and bathroom remodeled. Cons: I have been staying in rustic lakeside cabins in northern Wisconsin since the 1950's, but with the jumble of old, worn furniture and bric-a-brac it felt like living in a rummage sale rather than rustic. Also, the musty smell hit you at the door and did not disapate. The bed was so soft (I know a matter of taste) that we could not sleep. And the long steep, uneven steps down to the dock were sufficiently strenuous and dangerous, that once or twice a day down to the best part of the rental was all that you would want. Having stayed at many VERBO rentals over the years, this is the first one for which I question the integrity of the glowing reviews it received. We left a day eary (out of 3).

Very nice lakeside cabin, with all the amenities one might need. I enjoyed kayaking on the lake, and the lake was warm enough for swimming in August. Close proximity to the marina facilitated pontoon boat rental. Check-in & check-out was perfect.

Cozy, rustic cabin well equipped with everything you need to enjoy the lake. Covered screened porch and big open deck make living outside a pleasure. Owners take great care of their property and are attentive to their guest’s needs. Fantastic view!

Adorable lake cabin perfect for a small family ready for lake adventures- kayaks, fishing poles, and swim platform on clear & clean lake made for a wonderful vacation. The proximity to the marina was excellent to rent a pontoon boat for a day of exploring and tubing. Short drive into Cashiers for dining options was nice too. The cabin was well-equipped as if you were staying at a family home and not just a commercialized STR. Construction was going on at the house next door which wasn’t ideal for a quiet morning coffee on on porch, but no other complaints. Our boys counted 177 steps down to lake so it was quite the workout even for being a family in shape- maybe not the best for elderly or handicapped people. The back porch still had a wonderful lake view. We truly enjoyed our mountain/lake trip and would definitely rent again!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful Lakefront Cabin. It is a slice of heaven! The views were amazing and the house itself was very comfortable and relaxing. The decor was perfect for a lake retreat. It was very nice having both a screened in porch and the balcony to relax and enjoy the views. The master bed was very comfortable. We also very much enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and had plenty of firewood supplied for us. Having the dock with kayaks was an added bonus. The location of the cabin was perfect as it is in the middle of several neat towns and waterfalls. You can even head up to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and do the railroad trip in Bryson City. Debra was a great host and very easy to communicate with. She answered any questions we had immediately. We would definitely recommend this cabin and plan to come back one day. Thanks for everything Debra and Mark!

This was my husband and I second stay at this property and once again it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful cabin with an amazing Lake view, and we love the lake access because we have dogs and there are stairs into the water, which is perfect for getting them in and out we spent hours at the lake every day and we can’t wait to go back next year. The only downside as a dog owner that I can see is the yard space is a very steep incline so walking around the neighborhood is a better bet But that gives you great exercise on those hills so that’s a win-win :-) Deborah is very responsive and the access to kayaks is very kind
