Lake-View 5BR Cabin mins to Yellowstone - Hot Tub - Sauna - Pool Table

Our extended family of 12 stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The solitude, view and drive were well worth avoiding the congestion of staying in West Yellowstone. Some very helpful surprise amenities included bear spray, two large coolers, and plenty of ice packs. We had to spread out the showers to make the hot water last, but that worked just fine for us.

This place is amazing! Great kitchen, bbq available, sauna and hot tub on front deck!! We had amazing times over the pool table downstairs. It’s an awesome place to gather with friends/family. But also space to escape the mayhem if you need to. Totally want to come back in the summer!!!

When we arrived, it had been snowing the previous week and the day of arrival. It was clear that the homes private access Road and driveway had not been plowed this day or recently. In addition, the steps leading to the home, were not cleared. This home could only be accessed with a 4 x 4 vehicle, which we did not have and was not prepped for when making the reservation. While the host was communicative it was a little help to us as we could not access the home, was not sure when plowing or snow removal would take place and had to pivot and go somewhere else. The home itself seemed nice, but there was a lot of construction debris in and around the home. We requested a refund due to the circumstances, but we’re slightly denied.

An honest review... We were advised that there was a sauna being built on the deck and may not be done when we arrived, which was fine. When we did arrive there was a 1/2 finished sauna on the deck, along with other building materials on the deck and below. Also on the deck was a hot tub that was not set up. It was to be done the next day and things cleaned up but they were not. The washing machine also did not work.. The picture also make it look like it stands alone but there are other houses around. It was evident we had to find another place so we left this property and found another at our own expense. We advised the manager of this and he said he was looking onto getting our money back. No luck on that and he no longer responds to our texts.. We are still waiting to hear back from VRBO about getting our money back. Caveat Emptor on this one folks. Look around a bit...

There were several disappointments: Beds in loft were twins, not queen size ... had to double up kids in the twin! (We were assured by the host that 14 could fit), washer would not complete the spin cycle - had to be manually turned on and off to empty (needs repair); With kids and limited towels (9 for 14 people!), this was a problem; king bed (about 3' high) required a step stool to get onto (none provided); fireplaces and TV's did not work; fire extinguisher installed with 1 screws and fell off the wall and onto a child's foot; coffee pot did not fit the coffee maker - required a saucer to raise level to enable dripping (discovered when coffee ran all over the counter); router-modem cumbersome to set up; upstairs window locks broken; microwave door handle broken and distance to Yellowstone, while less than an hour, was more than minutes away (maybe an more accurate number would help?). Children could not play outside ... Yard overrun with weeds (unlike photo provided). Sauna and hot tub, placed in front of sliders, block views. Deck badly needs repainting. On some positive notes, the beds were comfortable, the views, if one stood (no deck furniture) in front of the newly added sauna and hot tub, were spectacular, the dishwasher worked and there were sufficient dishes, silverware, pots, etc. as we did not prepare complicated meals! Dark skies provided good heavenly viewing if one wanted to stand out there.

This is the second time my family has rented this house. It is clean, spacious and has everything you need. We rented the house as our west entrance into Yellowstone NP.

We had a great family vacation with our kids and grandkids. The views of Henry's Lake and the mountains are absolutely beautiful from the house and deck. The house was private and comfortable with plenty of space for all 10 of us. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for our use. The you tube videos showing us how to work everything was a nice touch. And lastly, the grandkids had a great time trying to catch the ground squirrels (with no luck) that were all around the property. The owner/manager was very responsive, and we would stay again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Our family of seven adults and a one-year-old enjoyed our stay. We made this our base camp for a week in YNP and Tetons. The view of Henry's Lake was amazing. We were able to see the Tetons on several of the days we stayed. The trip to the west gate took about 15-20 minutes, which made it a convenient visit to YNP. The drive to the Tetons took about 2.5 hours but was stunning. The pictures do not do this house justice. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Everyone had plenty of private space and space to be together. We saw many wildlife in the park and moose across the street at Henry's Lake. If we return to the area, we will stay here again.

We loved the cabin, beautifully done. My husband and I stayed in the large upstairs bedroom. There was no closets or anywhere to put our clothes. Those that had closets only had 2 hangers in them. We did have to buy bath soap as there were only little hand dispenser soaps. The kitchen was well stocked. There were 5 of us and only 3 chairs to sit on the deck in. We had a wonderful stay!

The stars at night are perfect. The cabin is not right around the corner from Yellowstone, but it is a perfect 20 minute drive.
