Beautiful cabin! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only constructive feedback is that the host never resonded to two consecutive inquries via VRBO messaging, there was no firepit or directions to wherever the firepit was in direction guide. Don't advertise something we can not find. And the Wifi login and password did not work. Didn't bother messaging host because they don't respond back. The cabin was immaculate. Beautifully decorated. It was peaceful and removed from the busy traffic sounds. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.

Liz was great and we have a shared love of German Shepherds. My husband and I honeymooned in Lake Lure 17 years ago and this was the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate 17 years married! The cabin had everything we needed including towels for our fur babies. It was clear a lot of thought went into accommodating renters with pets and we loved the view as well as the privacy I can promise we won’t wait another 12 years to get away to Lake Lure again and would rent from Liz and Kyle again in a heartbeat!

This was a beautiful cabin & the landscape was breathtaking! This was our daughter's first vacation ever (we adopted her from Taiwan last August). Our family loved the waterfall! It was our favorite. The small rapids next to it were so fun for our daughter & son to tube down. (Corn hole at the cabin was also a fun activity we loved.)The lake is gorgeous. We enjoyed kayaking/canoeing & swimming). Our 2 small dogs also enjoyed all the walks & smells on the dog friendly nature walk!) Liz had everything we needed and was quick to respond to our questions. Except for a quick trip in town and a scenic drive we never left. Even when it rained we loved hearing the sound in the cabin. Simply amazing!

We wanted to come support the community of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock after the hurricane. We knew that much of the town would not be open, but chose to come regardless. Unfortunately, the property was filthy. Mold, mildew, dust, & dead animals in the home. My daughter has a dust mite allergy, so we left early. I was absolutely disgusted by the overall condition of the cabin. We found towels & bath mats still in the washer days after arrival. A rancid smell presented itself a few days in, property owners were called, we were told it would go away. The home has air conditioning listed as a feature, there is no air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms, the heat was unbearable during the day. The basement is so damp the humidifier needed to be emptied daily. The smell was awful, even before the stench of a dead animal arrived. Kitchen supplies were old and broken. We could not find baking sheets, then the bottom drawer of the oven wouldn’t shut, my husband removed & found all the baking sheets, covered in filth. It looked like the range had not been cleaned behind in years. The property owners were very misleading about the condition of the amenities. We brought our dogs, and planned on walking trails and swimming in the river. We were never informed by the property owners that the river was contaminated. Thank goodness a local resident warned us before we risked our children & pets. Riverbend is a lovely community, we will visit again, just not at this property.

Great place to stay. Wife loved it and my favorite part was not seeing another car even pass by until last day we were there. Very quiet and most appreciated. The couple times we had a question, found host most accomodating.

We spent a 3 day weekend for a family trip. We really enjoyed the location. “Neighborhood “ had a wonderful river area with picnic tables we enjoyed. House was very remote. Loved the deck.
