Scott made the check in process seamless. We were in a well stocked lakeside cabin. The fall foliage was beautiful and the 2 bald eagles nearby were icing on the cake. It was a wonderfully quiet getaway.

Check-in and communication with our host, Scott was very easy. We had a perfect weather week so that added to the experience. The neighbors were very friendly, greeting us and chatting on our daily dog walks. The best part about this cottage is the wonderful deck area and view of Lake George. I tried to get our goldens to go swimming, but they are not really water lovers so they only frolicked once long enough for me to video them! The area is lovely though if you ARE water lovers even having a sandy beach. You must bring your linens and towels (kitchen towels too) which Scott states in his write up. The beds are comfortable and the rainfall shower is nice. No hair dryer provided. There were spices, coffee and filters for the standard coffeemaker as well as paper towels and foil. Also a Keurig provided. We walked the dogs at the Harrison City Park several times which is a really nice place with pavilions, basketball court, tennis court, playground, and an awesome paved walking/biking path. We drove up to Cadillac one day which also has a great park, Heritage Park, on Lake Cadillac. There's a place called The Sweet Shop that makes awesome chocolates and covered apples. The best daytrip was to Dow Gardens in Midland. AWESOME place. There's the longest canopy walk in the US. Plus so many other features to experience. Also in Midland is The 'Tridge which is a 3-pronged pedestrian bridge in a beautiful area. We very much enjoyed our week at Scott's.

The cabin was exactly what we needed. The views are fabulous. The huge deck and large living room windows made the view seem endless. We had loons daily and the Northern Lights the last evening of our stay. We appreciated the amount of firewood for campfires down by the lake. There were quite a few comments about the well water, but the system the owner has installed worked great. If you have been to Jacksonville or Plant City, FL, you would think this was great water! The bathrooms were fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rainwater shower head. The cabin is not new or fancy, but worth every penny. This is a diamond in the rough. The bed was low to the floor and that was the only struggle my wife had as she recently had knee replacement surgery. The owner was great with communicating and making sure we knew what we would need for our stay.

Loved this cabin, small but clean and beautiful! The deck was huge with comfortable furniture, beach area was clean, great fishing on the lake and Scott communicated very well. My husband and I stayed with our two kids and it was perfect, will definitely be back next year!

No matter how wonderful the venue, a restful night is key. Mattresses need replacing. Otherwise, the vintage appointments mixed with the modern remodel were delightful and reminded me of my childhood at a lake in the north woods. Loons, water and simplicity.

This property is great! Has a private, sandy beach, nice area for swimming, and can fish right off the dock. We especially enjoyed the shady yard with a HUGE deck and comfortable furniture, picnic table, high table, rocking chairs and two different porch swings. The original cabin is still intact with knotty pine and fun retro furnishings for the up north Michigan vibe but the bathrooms are completely updated. The property has well water but just bring bottled water and all is good.

Just driving up to the lake house is exiting. The street side of the house is very impressive. The entrance leads to a large breesway that is full of light and a great view if the expansive deck. We called the cottage Pineview or Whispering Pines because of dominating nature of their presents that enhances the total view experience. The main house is quaint. The maintenance of the original summer place feel is present and the collected decorations and momentis all add ti the vibe. Once out on the deck that never ends; you are engulfed in the expansive lake view. The nice new dock invites you down to the fire pit and beach. The peddle boat and row boat await aquatic adventures. We enjoyed ir stay very much. Beung older we would have liked a higher bed and we never got used to the well water but the negatives never out weighed the positives.
