This little apartment is very cozy and located on our lake front property with lots of privacy. Nestled into 5 acres on Long Lake in Harrison MI we call this a slice of heaven. Our lake offers excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking! We have two canoes and several kayaks and also have a paddle boat that carries 4 people. Stayed May 23, 2025My wife and I traveled to the area on Memorial Day weekend from South Florida for an engagement party. The space was perfect and clean. Maxine and Doug were wonderful hosts. My wife and I truly enjoyed the basket full of snacks and delicious homemade cookies. We hope to stay here again when we return next year for the wedding.

Doug and Maxine have exceeded expectations in crafting a tranquil and inviting haven that boasts tasteful decor, meticulous upkeep, and an authentic homely feel. Their extraordinary kindness and hospitality made us feel more like long-time friends than newcomers. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, which will surely extend beyond just a weekend. Stayed Aug 16, 2024This was a perfect stay. The Guest House was cozy and equipped with everything that you needed for a stay at a home away from home. I have always been skeptical about staying in a guest home but this will definitely make me reconsider my options when booking in the future. Maxine is a rockstar host and communication was great. We felt very welcome throughout our entire stay. I highly recommend this property to future travelers as it definitely exceeded our expectations.
