Stayed Oct 1, 2025The 1820s restored log cabin was an absolute delight. It was beyond our expectation in every area. All the rooms and living spaces and kitchen were very clean and well maintained. We especially liked the decor which was so tastefully and meticulously done. The wraparound porch with swings was great. One could sit on the swings and enjoy the serene setting, the great view and the sunset. We stayed for two nights but wished we could have spent more time. We will definitely recommend the cabin to our friends and other family. (Only minor point was the WiFi became unavailable for about 24 hours)

Stayed Nov 5, 2025This house is absolutely the perfect place to spend time exploring central Kentucky. I can’t say enough about how great the entire experience is. Our group has stayed here twice and both times we just did not want to leave. It is incredibly cozy but spacious. The fire pits, pond and epic porch make for a very serene and relaxing time filled with fun, stories and laughter. I was LOVING the new pool table this time. We have visited this home for our bourbon trail visits and love the seclusion paired with a central location. It’s about 45 minutes down to Bardstown area, 30 minutes to the airport, 45 minutes to the Frankfort/Lawrenceburg area, 40 minutes to the center of downtown Louisville. We don’t mind a bit of a drive to get to our area of touring for the day and I love just getting back at the end of the day and enjoying an evening under the stars and the complete quiet. The owner is always incredibly welcoming and the home is in immaculate condition. I’m already excited to book again.

Stayed Jul 14, 2025This property is absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. The bedroom situation could not have been better for 4 couples traveling together and the dining table/living room both provided ample space for everyone to hangout. This property is centrally located between Louisville, Frankfort and Bardstown, which is great for adventures on the Bourbon Trail. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone needing accommodations in the area!!!

Stayed Jun 22, 2025Our group of seven family members loved our stay here. The house is extremely clean and well maintained both inside and outside. The rooms are large and there are ample bedrooms and bathrooms and the living room and kitchen provided us ample space to come together as a family. The house is well stocked with everything a person could need right from plenty of towels, extra blankets, toiletries and even firewood for the fire pit. Before booking, questions were answered in a timely manner and after booking, we had no issues with any questions or needs that we had. This is a perfect place for rest and relaxation and we highly recommend it

Stayed Apr 11, 2025Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Exquisitely furnished, each bedroom roomy and comfortable, plenty of space for the 8 of us to get together and prepare for, and then later to relax and recount, our adventures along the Bourbon Trail. The location was peaceful and perfect, the kitchen well equipped. We would return in a heartbeat for our next trip to the area. Thanks for making this trip so memorable!

Stayed Feb 21, 2025The best compliment is the answer to the question, “Would you stay there again?”. Our answer would be absolutely!! The host was very accommodating and her property was perfect. We were a group of 8, four couples staying four nights. This property was very accessible to many Distilleries, 30 minutes in all directions. Thank you for our stay.

Stayed Oct 17, 2024We were truly stunned by this beautiful house and incredible property. Whether it was sunrise, sunset or somewhere in between, the view of the lake from the porch swing or rocker was stunning. House was better than advertised with so many interesting and cool extra touches. Loved our stay and would definitely return.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024This cabin was awesome! The area was peaceful with such a beautiful landscape. We enjoyed picturesque sunrises and sunsets daily. The home was extremely well appointed. The linens and towels were hotel quality. Fresh soaps were provided in each bedroom of the bathrooms. Each couple had their own full bathroom which was wonderful. We played pool, games, cooked together and relaxed by the outdoor fire pit. It was the perfect setting for our family Thanksgiving!

Stayed Nov 6, 2024The property is “as advertised” in the best ways possible. Stunning views, cozy accommodations, clean, and had everything we needed and more. When booking the property I read several reviews about other guests wishing they had more time the enjoy the property and amenities that come along with it, and now I know why. Mary was very responsive to questions leading up to and during our stay. Our group had an amazing time and this property was the icing on the cake. Would recommend to anyone and can’t wait to book there again on our next trip!

Stayed Oct 26, 20246 senior citizens stayed at this property. The grounds are beautiful. A pond in front and a fire pit in the back which we used every evening we were there. Plenty of wood was on hand. The trees were turning colors and were gorgeous. Lots of birds. This is a quiet place and is very roomy, very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots pans and everything we needed to cook our meals . We ate there morning and evening. It isn’t too far from Louisville which is where we were usually except when we visited Secretariat Park in Lexington. I would highly recommend!

Stayed Sep 27, 2024This is a wonderful oasis conveniently located near many places of interest. The drive back to the property sets the proper tone and a relaxed vibe begins. The cabin combines pioneer charm with modern day luxury. During our stay, eight adults were very comfortable and the home was appointed with puzzles, games and a pool table to keep us entertained during a rainy spell. During cocktail hour the owner even joined us for a guitar playing jam session. It was truly a magical stay.

Stayed Sep 21, 2024We loved every minute we stayed at Plum Ridge! The property is absolutely breathtaking and the inside of the house is as cozy and comfortable as you would want it. The kitchen is fully stocked so one night we cooked out on the gas grill and sat around the fire pit which was a wonderful place to relax after a fun day on the bourbon trail. We had 4 couples and everyone had plenty of privacy and space for themselves plus there were several areas to all hang out together. We even had a pool tournament one night! The only suggestion we had was a fishing pole would have been put to great use as both mornings the fish were literally jumping out of the water! The wrap around porch gives you gorgeous views of the property from all sides. Just wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back and will 100% recommend this property to everyone we know!

Stayed Sep 15, 2024From the moment we arrived and met the owner, until our check out, our stay was 5-star!! The property is beautiful, both inside and out, with wonderful attention to detail. There were noise machines in each bedroom; fluffy, thick towels; well supplied kitchen; and local decor throughout the house. We had a great first night around the fire pit with stacked wood ready for use. If you enjoy nature, sitting out on the wrap around porch with your morning coffee (Keurig for that) will be your thing for bird watching. We had nightly visits from a family of deer, and a gaggle of geese at the pond. The property is just beautiful and close to everything we wanted to see. We were a group of 4 couples and had plenty of room to hang out together. The bedrooms each have a sitting area for quiet time as well. Highly recommend for your next Kentucky visit. **One note for bikers - The owner was kind enough to put down fresh gravel, however, we did need to pack it down for safety.
