We believe in invisible service—providing everything you need for a private, seamless stay while remaining just a text away. As longtime local stewards of these heritage properties, we love sharing our favorite hidden trailheads and town gems. We’ll check in via message to ensure you're settled, but otherwise, we respect your privacy so you can fully immerse yourself in the peace of the mountains.

The Idyllwild Experience
All of our Experience Idyllwild retreats are located within a mile of the village center, offering the perfect balance of forest seclusion and small-town convenience. At an elevation that stays 20–30 degrees cooler than the valley floors below, it is the ultimate year-round escape for those who appreciate design and nature.

Shops, Dining & Art
Downtown Idyllwild offers a thriving arts community full of music festivals, galleries, and a classic movie theatre. You’ll find excellent dining of all stripes—from the local brewery to fine boutiques—all within a short distance of the cabin.

Hiking & Biking
The San Jacinto mountains offer world-class rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking. Countless trailheads are located just minutes away, providing immediate access to the fresh mountain air and scenic vistas that make The Hill so special.

Idyllbrook features a keyless entry system for a seamless, contact-free arrival. Your unique access code will be activated on the day of your stay, allowing you to head up the mountain and check in at your convenience. You will receive your code and arrival instructions three days before you arrive.

The true treasure of Idyllbrook is the screened-in gazebo aka BrookHouse that sits at the edge of the property line along the babbling brook. Follow the meandering steps down into the backyard and find the BrookHouse awaiting your arrival. Inside, a huge sectional entices you to kick your feet up. As soon as you sit, you'll have no choice but to take a moment to be still and listen to the sounds of the forest. The magic of the BrookHouse will wash over you, and a nap may happen before you know it. A small desk sits in the corner along with a power strip in case a spark of inspiration hits. The desk has a chair but can also be converted into a standing desk.

This two-bedroom cabin hosts a king bed in the master bedroom and a full in the second sleeping area. Both sleeping area are located on the top floor of the cabin and each have a private balcony and sitting area.
There is one full bathroom on the entry-level of the cabin with a shower/tub combo, toilet, and sink.

The living room, dining nook, and kitchen are down a small set of five or so steps from the front door. The living room has two large, cushy sofas and a lounge chair so there is plenty of room for everyone to cozy up around the statement ledgerock wood-burning fireplace or the 55 flat-screen Roku TV with Bluetooth soundbar. There is also a plethora of board games for game night!

The kitchen is well-equipped with all your cooking needs including ample cooking utensils, basic oils, spices, waffle maker, rice cooker, bakeware, and even children's plates and cutlery.

&
The backyard is sprinkled with little sitting areas to nestle into as well as a hammock perfect for napping. On the back deck, sits a couple of iron rocking chairs, bench seating, and a four-seater outdoor dining table. These outdoor seating areas overlook the spacious backyard and seasonal steam. We've added a short fence that can be pulled out to block-off the deck area so that your pups can enjoy the view with you. A gas BBQ sits around the side of the house.

Idyllbrook is centrally located near the village of Idyllwild. The cabin sits just under a mile (.9 to be exact) from Café Aroma at the North end of town, or head south down South Circle and your walk will be the same distance to the new Idyllwild Brewpub and Fairway Market at the South end. Be sure to save some energy for the journey back as coming home is uphill. Live it up in town without worrying about having to drive home later, as there is no Uber or Lyft in our mountains.

My husband and I fell in love with this place. It’s so quiet and peaceful, even though it’s just five minutes from town. The gazebo is the perfect spot to work or read while listening to the sounds of nature and the creek. Every morning we had breakfast on the deck, and in the evenings we sat by the fire pit, enjoying our peaceful moments. I highly recommend this place for a couples getaway.

We stayed for 3 nights and spent a total of 3 hours offsite. We had no desire to leave. The gazebo is wonderful! Perfect for watercolor painting and just relaxing. The main balcony has a wonderful view with comfortable seating. We ate outdoors on the balcony and enjoyed the gas fireplace. The kitchen is stocked so well that you will have a very hard time thinking of anything that you might have at home that isn't there also. We noticed and appreciated the small touches done to enhance the view. I'm a bit sensitive to pet dander but was not impacted by it all and was slightly worried that it was pet friendly, but I had zero issues. We truly enjoyed our time there!

This was our second time staying here and it continues to be a great place to get away. Close to town (can walk if you’re up for a bit of a trek) and all of the shops and restaurants. But the neighborhood is pretty chill and of course the gazebo is the best place to relax. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies if you want to make meals. Would definitely stay again!

We are returning guests, and our stay this time around was just great as our previous stays. The Idyllbrook was absolutely wonderful. Our hosts were friendly and communicative and reached out to us during our stay to make sure any of our concerns or issues with the property could be addressed. This really made us feel welcomed. We spent a considerable amount of time in the Idyllbrook screened-in gazebo / house down by Strawberry Creek just listening to the woodland sounds, lounging, and enjoying the view. This great space really enabled us to unwind and relax. The kitchen is also amazing with so many types of bowls, pans, and cooking instruments provided (as well as spices). We always appreciate this aspect of the property whenever we stay at the property.

Idyllbrook is the best rental property I ever stayed at. This cabin is in a perfect location - on a quiet street but close enough to town, and also close to all the best hiking trails in the area. The cabin has a great flat wide driveway. The house itself is very well decorated, everything is in perfect working condition. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped with all appliances and utensils, so if you are in the mood for staying in and cooking, you can cook up a feast. But like I said, the cabin is so close to town that it’s easy to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in Idyllwild. The grounds around the cabin need to be mentioned - the path down to the gazebo and the brook, so pretty!! The cabin is perfectly clean, so cozy and comfortable, we spent an amazing long weekend and when we come back to Idyllwild we hope to be able to stay at this property again.
