Hot Tub & Fire Pit: Getaway Near Nantahala Gorge!

This is an excellent home, well appointed, well kept and clean. The host was excellent and communicated well. The setting is very good, the kitchen is excellent, good for cooking with plenty of pots/pans, utensils and plates/bowls. I can't recommend enough and would definitely stay again.

Great space for a large family gathering! Tucked away in the beautiful mountains. The home had everything we needed and then some. Will be back!

This place is a dump and way overpriced. Main floor bathroom sinks are backed up and don't drain. Kitchen cabinets are falling off hinges. Kitchen sink drain smells horrible. No light in refrigerator. Upstairs in a bedroom closet is a huge wasp nest with wasps flying all over the bedrooms and main area. Baby gates that are advertised do not exist. Called the property manager with zero help regarding the wasps. Her response was it's that time of year. Hopefully nobody will get stung. No guests were able to stay upstairs because of the wasps flying everywhere. Owners and property manager do not answer texts or calls asking for help. Complete rip-off.

It was great we absolutely loved the cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for. We were so glad it was decorated for Christmas. We made some great memories. The only down fall was the parking it was very tight, and the main floor heating was not working.

We stayed for one week for a family reunion. This home is absolutely beautiful! The directions to the house that evolve provides are wonderful. They had everything we possibly needed- plenty of bedding, towels, games. I don't know what else you'd need! The kitchen had EVERYTHING and more. The house was clean and perfect for a large family to stay in. The hot tub area is beautiful and lots of fun happened in the basement rec room! Jeanette was so responsive when we had a hot tub question. You can fit a few extra cars if needed. They also have baby gates and a high chair, which was nice not to bring. The outdoor areas were beautiful- a deck with a table you could eat at with a gas grill, sitting area near the hot tub, fire pit, playground, front porch, beautiful view! The town is beautiful with a nice shopping area, and plenty of awesome hikes nearby. Can't wait to go back!!! Thank you!!

We loved our stay in Franklin! The house was spacious enough for 8 adults and 7 kids. We loved the outdoor spaces as well. We explored Franklin one day and stayed at the house the next. There was plenty for the kids to do to stay entertained! We were also impressed with the amount of supplies that were available in the kitchen. There were also more than enough linens to use. We will definitely be back!

Family get together went great! A little difficult following GPS as all signal lost as we left Hwy 23/441. Suggest that visitors get directions before heading on to 1 lane roads. (They don't go away when signal is lost!That being said, this was a wonderful place to stay. All family members thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

Four families came together for a few days and had a great time! Nice and roomy. Gorgeous laundry room. Tons of games! Nice hot tub. Five kids ages 12 down to 6 months and it was perfect for them. Main con is we didn’t have any cell service. Turned out to be somewhat nice so we focused on making memories, but not good for the ones that had to work. Overall, we all had one of the best vacations ever!

Wonderful. So much to see and do. Plenty of room for a family vacation

My only complaint is that it was too short. We all had a great stay at Mountain Escape while spending special family time. Everything we needed was provided.

Great place for extended family of 10!

Such a great stay! The house was wonderful--clean, lots of space, secluded. Was the perfect spot for our three-generation family getaway.Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely consider renting again!
