My friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip to the mountains and it was great. Lots of space, good location, and well organized. I'd definitely recommend it to others!
This cabin is a warm, very cozy cabin with all hardwood floors and paneling throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pans and utensils. We stayed there with our three families, each having their own private bathroom. The location is easily accessible, with a short drive to Grandfather Mountain and Boone. It does not have a mountain view, but is nestled in the woods in a gated community. This is our second stay in this cabin and would stay there again.
Everything was clean and comfortable at Honey Bear Haven. Convenient to hiking, restaurants, and breweries.
Great place
Honey Bear Haven is a beautiful home in an even more beautiful location. We wanted to feel like we were “in the woods” and were not disappointed. We spent many hours sipping coffee and wine on the deck and found the fire pit to be charming and unique with the natural stones. The only down side to the home is that the interior very dark and the home’s lighting is inadequate. The kitchen area was so dim that meal prep was frustrating. The ground floor living room was so dark we gave up trying to play pool and the bedrooms on that level were worse. In the middle of the afternoon, with every light in that room turned on, my daughter had to use a flashlight to find something she dropped on the bedroom floor. If you decide to stay here I recommend you bring along battery lanterns or trouble lights of some sort.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my mother's 70th - thank you! Enjoyed the pool table, fire pit, and easy to use kitchen very much! great location for hiking and mountain town exploring. Thank you!
Awesome house -- plenty of room for 15+ guys to visit for a weekend trip! Loved the house
The property was super nice and your book was super helpful. We loved our stay. Thank you!
Great location that’s only 30min to Beech Mtn ski resort and 25 min to Appalachian ski resort. Only 10min to Boone where you can find anything you need. Twin Rivers is a gated community that feels safe. Even when there was ice & snow the roads were clear & gravel driveway made it easy to access. There’s a circular drive and unload is easy right through the first floor. Pool table was fun. Kitchen well stocked. Heat system was great & even if it was cooler downstairs that had portable heaters. Would definitely recommend for families and friends.
Location was perfect...right in the middle of it all. Cabin was clean and beautiful. Would stay again and recommend. Thank you.
Beautiful property with loads of room but yet a feel of closeness. Easy access to the property and short distances to all places of interest.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. With a large family of our own, plus my brother’s family, and our parents, this was perfect!
The house was well suited for our group. Plenty of space for everyone. There were issues with the door locks and dust, but otherwise we had a great time. The porch was our favorite spot of the house.. Outside fireplace was great for the chilly evenings,, until it quit working. Otherwise, the kitchen was well stocked for our group and plenty of eating space.
This was a great place and Blue Ridge Family Rentals as always was outstanding.
Everything was great! Loved the huge porch, and the house was equipped with everything you need!
The home was clean and exactly the right room for us. Plenty of bathrooms and a good size kitchen. Loved the wrap around porch. Fire pit area was OK. Neighborhood was spectacular. Be aware there are no views as the property is located at the bottom of the hill. Nice walking to rivers and to top of hill. Overall was a perfect fit and central to all the activities we wanted to do.
Lovely house in a great location. It was very well appointed, very clean. We loved our morning coffee on the front porch.
The location was good for our large group. Pool table, firepit and large open kitchen was a hit, more chairs around the pit would be nice. House was well sticked and clean. The exterior doors need maintenance.
We had a wonderful stay at Honey Bear Haven with our extended family. Everyone had ample space to call their own or we could comfortable enjoy one space together. The kids spent almost all their time outside enjoying the enormous wrap around porch, spending time by the fire pit or exploring the yard. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and was great to prepare family meals. The location allowed us to either retreat to staying at the home and simply enjoy family time or easily get out to explore all the Boone/Banner Elk area had to offer. We went hiking and fishing. Road the alpine coaster and spent the day at Tweetsie Railroad. The whole family agreed, our next vacation to the Boone/Banner Elk area will be spent at Honey Bear Haven!
Everything was clean and we had a great time in the house.
Was scared because I've never done it before, but will definitely do it again.
